The upcoming South Korean Movie "Soulmate" - starring Kim Da Mi, Jeon So Nee, and Byun Woo Suk, among others - will hit the local theatres on Marth 15, according to its distributor Next Entertainment World ( the same distributor which gave us Korean movies like "Train to Busan" and "Miracle in Cell No. 7").
"Soulmate" is the story of two women, Ahn Mi So (Kim Da Mi) and Ha Eun (Jeon So Nee), who met and befriended each other when they were just girls of 13. They first experience discord when they both fall for their classmate Jin Woo (Byun Woo Suk). The two, after 14 years look back on all the ups and downs their friendship went through. Judging from the vibe of the posters and the storyline, the Korean movie is expected to be lighthearted and melodramatic.
The film is adapted from a 2016 Chinese movie of the same name.
"Soulmate" is Kim Da Mi's first release of the year. She was last seen in the lead role of Ko Ja Yun in the Korean movie "The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion". Whereas, Jeon So Nee will be returning to the big screen after a 3-year gap since her last movie "Ghost Walk". We will also see her in the upcoming K-drama "Our Blooming Youth" alongside Park Hyung Sik. And lastly, we remember Byun Woo Suk as Won Hae Hyo from "Record of Youth", and he will also star as the main lead in the upcoming rom-com "Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon".
"Soulmate" is helmed by Min Yong Keun, who is also the movie's screenwriter. He is also the director of the upcoming Sung Yoo Bin and Won Ji An starrer Happy Boy.
