According to a report by Star News, the long-awaited Netflix original series, Doona! was reportedly scheduled for an October 20th release. Included in Netflix's exciting lineup for the latter half of the year. However, Netflix clarified that the release of the series is yet to be finalized.
Adapted from the webtoon "The Girl Downstairs" by Min Song Ah, Doona! tells the story of an ordinary college student Won Joon and the retired K-pop idol, Doo Na, whom he meets at a share house. The series is based on the popular webtoon "The Girl Downstairs" by Min Song Ah.
Bae Suzy shines as the lead character, Lee Doo Na. In the series, Lee Doo Na was the main vocalist of a popular idol group and the center of popularity, but she surprised everyone with her sudden retirement and secluded lifestyle. Suzy's captivating beauty and remarkable synchronization with the character have kept her name constantly mentioned during discussions about the virtual casting for the role.
