Choi Kwang Il joins Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin in a new K-drama
Actress Mun Ka Young will reportedly challenge the role of a lawyer in a new K-drama.
On October 4, media outlet JTBC Entertainment released an exclusive report revealing that Mun Ka Young will be joining the cast of Seocho-dong. This K-drama was also offered to actor Lee Jong Suk last month and he is reviewing the offer.
Mun Ka Young's agency responded to the exclusive report. PEAK J Entertainment says, "The actress is positively considering the offer."
Seocho-dong will showcase the lives of the lawyers at a law firm. The upcoming K-drama will be the next project of director Park Seung Woo who is known for creating the works W, Adamas, Kairos, Spring Turns to Spring, and more.
Lee Jong Suk was offered to portray the role of An Ju Hyeong, a lawyer with nine years of experience. Meanwhile, Mun Ka Young will reportedly portray the role of Kang Hee Ji, a lawyer with two years of experience at a law firm. She's convinced that a significant change in someone's life can redefine their entire being.
Seocho-dong will reportedly premiere in 2025. There is no official confirmation yet on the broadcast channel or exact airing date of the upcoming series.
If Mun Ka Young confirms her casting, this will be her second upcoming K-drama next year.
The actress will lead the upcoming series My Dearest Nemesis with Choi Hyun Wook, Im Se Mi, Kwak Shi Yang, Kim Young Ah, and Seong Seung Ha. She will also make a special cameo appearance in the Netflix original K-drama Cashero.
Mun Ka Young will also return to the big screen after nine years with Us and Them. She will star alongside
Koo Kyo Hwan in the upcoming romance film.
The actress last starred in the 2022 K-drama The Interest of Love.
Aside from the casting reports, it was also announced today that Mun Ka Young is the newest beauty brand ambassador of the luxury brand DOLCE&GABBANA.
