Mun Ka Young will reportedly pair up with Lee Jong Suk in the upcoming law K-drama "Seocho-dong"
Actor Choi Kwang Il will be starring in his first official K-drama in 2024.
On October 4, it was officially confirmed that Choi Kwang Il will be joining Yoo Yeon Seok, Chae Soo Bin, Heo Nam Jun, and Jang Gyu Ri in the upcoming K-drama When the Phone Rings.
This will be his first official K-drama project for the year. He recently made a special cameo appearance in the K-dramas Seoul Busters and Marry My Husband. He also made a special cameo appearance in the film Hijack 1971 which was led by Ha Jung Woo, Yeo Jin Goo, Sung Dong Il, Chae Soo Bin, Moon You Kang, and Im Se Mi.
He is known for being part of the K-dramas Miraculous Brothers, Kokdu: Season of Deity, The Glory, Alchemy of Souls, Lovers of the Red Sky, The Uncanny Counter, and more.
Choi Kwang Il last starred in the 2023 K-drama Longing for You.
When the Phone Rings will revolve around a couple who has been in an arranged marriage for three years. The couple are pretending to be normal and happy, but their lives change after the wife is suddenly abducted by a mysterious person. The upcoming K-drama will be based on the popular web novel of the same name published on Kakao Page.
In the series, Choi Kwang Il will portray the role of Hong Il Kyung. He is the president of Cheongun Ilbo and the stepfather of Chae Soo Bin's character Hong Hui Ju.
Director Park Sang Woo (The Forbidden Marriage and Terius Behind Me) and writer Kim Ji Woon (Doctor John and Hyde, Jekyll, Me) will work together for the upcoming K-drama.
When the Phone Rings will premiere in November and it will exclusively air on MBC.
