Extraordinary Attorney Woo's Kang Tae Oh in talks to lead the historical K-drama
Jung Hae In's next drama will possibly be aired in Japan.
On October 18, media outlets reported that Jung Hae In would be venturing into the Japanese market and would star in a local drama.
According to reports, Jung Hae In will lead the series which will be produced and directed everything by a Japanese team. There are no reports yet on which Japanese actors will join Jung Hae In in the upcoming drama.
Jung Hae In's side responded to the casting reports. According to FNC Entertainment, "The Japanese drama is one of the projects that was offered to the actor. Nothing has been finalized yet."
This is not the first time that Jung Hae In will work with a Japanese director if he finally decides to join the new series. Back in 2022, he also worked with Japanese film director Miike Takashi (Midnight and Lumberjack the Monster) for the Disney+ original drama Connect.
For this year, it has been confirmed that Korean actors Han Hyo Joo, 2 PM's Ok Taec Yeon, and more will also star in a Japanese production. Actor Chae Jong Hyeop also recently rose to stardom in Japan after starring in Eye Love You.
2024 has been a great year for Jung Hae In. Both his projects became successful. He recently wrapped up with the K-drama Love Next Door. Many praised his chemistry with casts Jung So Min, Kim Ji Eun, Yun Ji On, Park Ji Young, Jo Han Chul, and more.
Aside from that, his movie I, the Executioner became a box office hit with over 7 million moviegoers in South Korea.
Jung Hae In also renewed his contract with FNC Entertainment this year. This marks his 11th year with the company.
