On July 5, the production team of the K-drama unveiled the first set of stills of Park Sung Woong from SBS's upcoming thriller The Killing Vote.

The Killing Vote follows the gripping story of an anonymous "Dog Mask" who conducts a nationwide poll on death penalties for heinous criminals.

One of the biggest reasons for the public's interest in The Killing Vote is the casting of the three acclaimed actors: Park Hae Jin (playing the role of Kim Moo Chan), Park Sung Woong (as Kwon Seok Joo), and Im Ji Yeon (as Joo Hyun).

In the K-drama, Park Sung Woong portrays Kwon Seok Joo, who kills the man who assaulted his 8-year-old daughter. He subsequently surrenders himself and serves a lengthy prison sentence. Once a renowned legal scholar in South Korea, Kwon Seok Joo retains his dignity even within the prison walls, where he is referred to as "Professor".

In the recently-released stills, the actor is seen sitting alone in a cell, dressed as a prisoner.

Just from the stills, one can sense the commanding presence of the Bloodhounds actor in the drama, sparking curiosity and raising expectations.

Having mostly played rugged and strong characters in various productions, Park Sung Woong is drawing attention to how he will embody the morally ambiguous persona of Kwon Seok Joo, who stands between good and evil.

The production team of The Killing Vote praised Park Sung Woong's performance, stating, "From the very first scene, Park Sung Woong embodied Kwon Seok Joo flawlessly. He skillfully showcased a blend of sharpness and tenderness, intensity and delicacy, and intellectual yet cynical traits. The character presents a unique challenge, but Park Sung Woong's portrayal exceeded our expectations. We urge viewers to anticipate The Killing Vote, a series that allows them to witness the astounding transformation of Park Sung Woong, an esteemed actor in the South Korean entertainment industry".

The Killing Vote will premiere on August 10. The first two episodes will be aired in the premiere week, followed by a weekly release of one episode.
