Here are some dramas for October

Glamorous Temptation

Joo Sang Wook (The Man in the Mask, Birth of a Beauty), Choi Kang Hee (Heart to Heart, Protect the Boss), and Cha Ye Ryeon (My Lovely Girl, Golden Rainbow) will star in MBC’s new Monday and Tuesday drama starting October 5 after Hwajeong ends.  The director is Kim Sang Hyub who has also directed several popular dramas including Royal Family and Cinderella Man.  The writer is Son Young Mok who also wrote Golden Rainbow and May Queen (Best Screenplay 2012 MBC drama awards).   Nam Joo Hyuk (Who Are You: School 2015, Surplus Princess), Kim Sae Ron (To Be Continued, High School-Love On), and KimBo Ra (Who Are You: School 2015, Mother’s Garden) will also be in the drama.

Shin Eun Soo (Choi Kang Hee), Kang Il Joo (Cha Ye Ryeon) and Jin Hyeong Woo (Joo Sang Wook) are classmates.  Both girls are in love with Hyeong Woo.  Eun Soo has an extraordinary sense of touch at a very young age and becomes a working mom that lives in a rooftop room.  She struggles to pay off the debt that her husband left behind.  Il Joo reenters her life as an adult also.

There wasn’t a lot of plot info that I could find.  I don’t know how that sense of touch is related to their adult hood.  Apparently Eun Soo and Il Joo end up being stepmother and daughter (not sure which is which).  Hyeong Woo seeks revenge, but I’m unsure how that is related to either women.

Honestly, my favorite genre is makjang and I can’t wait to watch this.  Plus, I like the actors, writer and director.

Starting Now, Cheer Up!

also known as Sassy,Go Go

Jung Eun Ji (Trot Lovers, Reply 1994) and Lee Won Geun (Hyde, Jekyll, Me, Passionate Love) will lead the new KBS2 drama, Cheer Up! starting October 5 on Monday and Tuesday after The Virtual Bride ends. The director is Lee Eun Jin who also directed Waiting for Love.  The writer is Yoon Soo Jung who also wrote The Fugitive of Joseon.  Chae Soo Bin (Bluebird House, Spy), Cha Hak Yeon also known as N of VIXX (Hotel King, Heirs) and Ji Soo (Angry Mom, To the Beautiful You) will also be in the drama.

Kang Yeon Doo (Jun Eun Ji) is a popular high school cheerleader who has a romantic interest with Kim Yeol (Lee Won Geun).  They are members of a dance club whose members are those that grades don't meat the high competitive standards of the school system. The cheerleader club is composed of students that joined to build their high school resume.  The two clubs are merged and the members have to find a way to get along.  Ha Dong Jae (Cha Hak Yeon) is the number 1 ranking student with the mental age of a grade schooler.  Kwon SooA (Chae Soo Bin) has a high list of achievements while trying to live the life expected by her highly ambitious mother.  She finds that she has a talent and a new desire after joining the cheer team.  Seo Ha Joon (Ji Soo) is also a high achieving student who suffers from extreme stress.

Although I am honestly not that into school dramas.  This one looks like a lot of fun with an excellent cast.  I always think school dramas are better when the cast is younger.  Lee Min Ho and Kim Woo Bin may be good looking but they are past the age of looking like high schoolers.  Of course that just means that I am looking at cutie Ji Soo who is only 22 which makes me a serious pervy noona.  Anyway, I will probably watch it.

Six Flying Dragons

Yoo Ah In (Secret Love Affair, Jang Ok Jung), Kim Myung Min (A New Leaf, King of Dramas), Shin Se Kyung (The Girl Who Sees Scents, Blade Man), Byun Yo Han (Ex-Girlfriend Club, Incomplete Life), Yoon Gyun Sang (The Time We were Not in Love, Pinocchio), and Chun Ho Jin (Bluebird House, Doctor Stranger) are the main cast of SBS new sageuk drama Six Flying Dragons which will start October 5 on Monday and Tuesday after Mrs. Cop ends.  The director, Shin Kyung Soo and Screenwriters Kim Young Hyun and Park Sang Yeon worked together on SBS 2011 drama Tree with Deep Roots.  Shin Se Kyung also worked with the screenwriters in The Great Queen Seondeok.

Yi Seong Gye (Chun Ho Jin) is the founder of the Joseon nation, King Taejo.  Yi Bang Won (Yoo Ah In) is the fifth son of King Taejo and grew up in a lighthearted environment but is the future King Taejong. Jung Do Jeon (Kim Myung Min) is ascholar who helped overthrow Goryeo and was a teacher to Yi Bang Won but becomes a rival.  Boon Yi (Shin Se Kyung) is his love interest.  Ddang-sae (Byun Yo Han) is a skilled swordsman and Jung Do Jeon's bodyguard.  Mu Hyul (Yoon Kyun Sang) is also a skilled swordsman to protect Yi Bang Won.

I am all in with this cast.  I am not a huge Sageuk lover, but I love this cast besides Shin Se Kyung, but she has grown on me somewhat.  Plus I heard she is really good in The Great Queen Seondeok.   Plus, I can't say enough about my love for Yoo Ah In.  I can't wait for this drama to start.

The Village: Achiaras's Secret

Moon Geun Young (Goddess of Fire, Cinderella’s Sister) and Yook Sung Jae (Who Are You: School 2015, Plus Nine Boys) will star in SBS drama The Village which begins October 7 after Yong Pal ends.  The director is Lee Yong Seok who also directed The Great Seer and Iljimae.  The writer is Do Hyun Jung who also wrote CanLove Become Money and Que Sera SeraOh Joo Wan (Punch, Surplus Princess), Shin Eun Kyung (Family Secrets, Your Neighbor’s Wife) and Jang Hee Jin (Scholar Who Walks the Night, What’s Up) will also appear in the drama.

Han So Yoon (Moon Geun Young) is a new English teacher at a peaceful village called Achiara.  Park Woo Jae (Yook Sung Jae) is an enthusiastic policeman who welcomes So Yoon and is met with cold indifference.    However, they will come together to help solve the mystery of the village when she finds a buried body on her first day.

Murder mystery with a good cast.  I may watch this also.  My winter is going to be totally full with all of these great drama.

Reply 1988

Hyeri (Hyde, Jekyll, MeTasty Life), Ryu Hye Yeong (Spy), Park Bo Gum (I Remember YouTomorrow's Cantabile) and Go Gyeong Pyo (Potato Star 2013Flower Boy Next Door) are just a few of the cast of the new Reply series drama by tvN, Reply 1988.  It will begin on October 23, Friday and Saturday after Second Time Twenty Years Old ends.  It is inspired by MBC drama from 1986 called Under the Same Roof.  The director, Shin Won Ho, and writer, Lee Woo Jung worked together on the other Reply series dramas.

I couldn't find much on the plot, but every source pretty much said the same thing.  "Reply 1988" will not be exactly like the other dramas. According to producer Shin Won Ho, the story will not focus on first love but on five families who live in the same neighborhood in 1988

but here are some pictures of the script reading:

Honestly, I have only seen the first of the Reply series.  I am unsure if I will watch this.  However, I know there are some serious fans of the series and I hope this one meets your expectations!

Jung Ryeo Won (Medical Top TeamHistory of the Salaryman) and Lee Dong Wook (Wild RomanceScent of a Woman) will star in tvN's new drama Bubblegum which begins on Mondays and Tuesdays, October 26 after Rude Miss Young-Ae Season 14 ends.  The director is Kim Byung Soo who also directed Queen In Hyun's Man (famous kiss scene) and Nine: Nine Times Time Travel.  The writer is Lee Min Na who wrote for Music City and book author.

Park Ri Hwan (Lee Dong Wook) is a doctor of Eastern medicine who runs a private practice.  Kim Haeng A (Jung Ryeo Won) is a radio producer and is clumsy and impatient.

There wasn't a lot of information about each character, but the drama is described as an "adult fairytale".  The premise is of people with problems that become happier by being together.

and a video of pics from the script reading:

I have watched a lot of Lee Dong Wook because I absolutely adore him.  I think he is so cute when he smiles, so I'm guessing from the trailer that this is going to be cute and funny and he will be smiling a lot.  I also like Jung Ryeo Won a lot.  She is too pretty and was great in History of the Salaryman.  It looks like I will be watching this one also.

Ji Hyun Woo (Angry MomTrot Lovers), Ahn Nae Sang (too many dramas to count), Kim Ga Eun (I Order YouJoseon Gundman), Ye Sung (no dramas, member of Super Junior), Hyun Woo (My Dear CatUgly Alert), and Kim Hee Won (Angry MomIncomplete Life) will star in JTBC drama, Awl starting October 23.  The director, Kim Suk Yoon, screenwriters Lee Nam Kyu and Kim Soo JIn as well as Ji Hyun Woo worked together in 2004 KBS drama, Old Miss Diary.  The original webcomic is Songgot and the writer is Choi Gyu Seok.  It was published starting in December of 2013 via  It is based on a true incident which occurred in July of 2007 at an Emart retail store where temporary cashiers were fired  They had a sit-in protest that lasted 510 days.

Lee Soo In leads the hardworking employees in a union fight against unfair management.  Goo Go Shin (Ahn Nae Sang) is a quite man who helps the hero.

No teasers and No script reading pics

This is a drama said to be like Misaeng.  I liked Misaeng so I will probably give this drama a chance at least.

Which of these dramas looks interesting to you?
