Burning Justice paired with Ice-Cold Chemistry
Judge From Hell delivers a captivating mix of fantasy and thriller, setting itself apart from other Korean dramas this year. The storyline is engaging and provides a refreshing approach, making it an entertaining watch for fans of the genre. Despite some predictable moments, the plot remains solid and well-executed.One downside was the prevalence of spoilers circulating on social media before the drama’s release, which slightly dampened the element of surprise. However, the show’s overall quality was unaffected, offering a rewarding viewing experience. The production benefitted significantly from its star-studded cast and budget, ensuring the drama met expectations both visually and narratively.
Park Shin Hye shines once again in her role as Kang Bit Na. Her experience and talent are evident, with her performance carrying much of the drama’s emotional weight. Fans familiar with her previous works, such as Doctors, will find her portrayal here equally impressive. On the other hand, Kim Jae Young, as Han Da On, delivered a commendable performance, proving himself a solid counterpart to Shin Hye’s character.
However, the lack of chemistry between the two leads was noticeable. While romance wasn’t the central focus of the story, the subplot felt underwhelming due to the absence of a genuine connection between the characters. This aspect might leave some viewers wanting more from their interactions.
The supporting cast added depth and intrigue, complementing the main narrative well. However, some unresolved questions linger, such as the fate of Kang Bit Na’s original soul and her reasons for calling off her engagement. These ambiguities might leave viewers speculating long after the final episode.
Overall, Judge From Hell is a satisfactory drama that excels in many areas, from its compelling plot to its standout performances. While not without flaws, it remains a worthwhile addition to this year’s lineup of Korean dramas, offering an entertaining and thought-provoking experience.

Blockbuster Start, Slightly Lackluster Finale (still one of 2024's Best)
Supernatural merging with modern world, short length drama, one case per episode tying up to a larger storyline - these are the reasons why I started this drama. Right from the start it had me completely hooked, and the first 10 episodes were so captivating that I came on MDL weekly to discuss various theories with others. These engaging discussions made it one of the standout dramas in 2024 for me, but unfortunately, the ending didn’t quite meet my great expectations. Here’s the breakdown:➥ BEST PARTS
✦ Story & Pace: I like crisp, engaging story telling - & this had different cases per episode while tying it to a larger story involving the main & recurring support casts. (Think: Tomorrow, Move To Heaven, Signal etc)
✦ Acting:
(1) Kang Bitna/Justicia: Park Shin Hye is usually in damsel-in-distress roles, but here she’s a savage + showing vulnerability as her character grows humane. Applauding her acting—more roles like this for her, please!
(2) Han Daon: First time seeing him, and I’m wondering why I’m only discovering this gem now! Handsome & acted with conviction. Hoping he gets the popularity he deserves (like Byeon Woo Seok overnight)—excited for his future projects!
(3) Mando, Arong, Landlady, Police Officers: Often seen in support roles, they delivered perfection even in limited screentime. Especially Kim In Kwon—been a fan since Mr Queen, what a talent.
➥ What Could Have Been Better:
The Finale Episodes 11-14:
The initial 10 episodes had set the bar so high, the scale so massive with its action, mystery that when it came to unfold in the last finale episodes - I was expecting epic battles, emotional rollercoasters, that doubt that will they have a happy ending or not? While it was good and fell into place - it felt underwhelming to the point that what was meant to be blockbuster turned out to be lackluster.
Example: Bael's forced punishments, Justicia vs Satan Battle, Gabriel's Sacrifice*, etc. felt a bit flat & rushed. Also, they did not completely reveal the fate of human Kang Bitna (did she escape Hell or no?)
➥ Overall:
The shortcomings are due to the fact that my expectations were sky-high. Otherwise this drama is great - I am definitely adding it to my Wall of Fame, and I think it is one of the best dramas of 2024. Highly Recommend to BINGE - it is a short one with mystery, action, comedy and romance - so worth the time.
P.S.: Those who know PSH would be familiar with her fish face kissing scenes. I think the ML brought on the wild side - cause that kiss in finale was ROARRRR! FIREEEE!!!!!

Great drama exellent story outstanding acting so far greatly recommended.
This is one of the best k drama so far I have watched. The writing of the story is really good. It is not typical romantic drama. It also have a bit of humor touch. It is also emotional and have good editing and VFX. The acting is awesome. I hope that end it good. All I can say now is don't read the reviews just "wattttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttchittttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt "

This DRAMA PROMOTE CRIME(murder) and call it JUSTICE
Its new, and refreshing dramai can see it take inspiration from Lucifer
but had its own work in it, not just a copy
I like it but there is but
overly Hell story forcing viewers to see it as some religious cult driven show
FL is a judge but drama has nothing to do with her being a Judge
Justitia goddess of justice is a vigilante murderer herself
Shin rok told her to murder 10-20 murderers
How this has anything to do with justice ?
If the concept of drama would have that she had to sentence 10 criminal capital punishment according to law of humans, than it would have been a challenge and struggling
But everything is so easy now days for Lead character that, it hard to connect to leads now days they become alien
They call it punishment but it looks like a vacation where she has all her power and some minions has to murder bunch of people
As fantasy comedy with nothing meaningful then this drama is Good
But if they pretend to be something more then just comedy in start of drama then for 15 ep they will do only comedy and in last ep 16 they will be lecture viewer about life lessons
It's Good but it could have been better if director wasn't only focus on making FL look only cool nothing more or less
She should look COOL
Life is so easy for lead characters
ML was IDIOT and he deserve his mother death for sure
that poor woman has to die for ML
as ep 8 end this is also following KDRAMA tradition of becoming a trash after half
MELO ROMANCE of weak demon crying because no matter what she is a weak WOman

Amazing story
I've seen numerous thriller K-dramas, but this one stands out due to its exceptional acting and emotional balance. Each episode offers a thrilling mix of suspense, humor, and witty dialogueThe supporting cast delivers remarkably realistic performances, immersing viewers in the scenes. The drama masterfully captures the emotions of both the criminal and the supporting characters. The lead actors' performances are outstanding. The first two episodes will leave you wanting more, and by the end of the third, you'll be completely captivated by the story.
The music complements the story perfectly, and the subtle use of background music enhances the viewing experience.
This drama is a must-watch for fans of thrilling K-dramas. It reminds me of my favorite, "The Glory," and I appreciate the slow, organic development of the romantic relationship between the leads.

AN INSANE KDRAMA but
Here's my rant about *The Judge From Hell* since EVERYONE seems to love it:- Why didn’t Mando just say that Arong asked him to keep an eye on Bitna’s outbursts and not just hint that “maybe she’ll betray us”?
- How is it that the place where Bitna was murdered can be rented so easily? Or is it because it’s in an amusement park that nobody heard anything?
- Where was the cleaning staff when Bitna got caught by Daon?
- If Justitia dies or turns human, then who’s going to be the judge in hell?
- If demons age, does that mean there’s a “before” and “after” version of them?
- Are Justitia, Gremory, and Paimon titles or names? Like, if one of them is missing or dead, who takes over their job?
- How does Bael know about Bitna’s verdict but somehow doesn’t know which demons have turned “human” (i.e., developed emotions)?
- HOW DID DAON EVEN FIND THE PLACE WHERE BITNA GOT STABBED?!
IF YOU WANT TO FREE PEOPLE FROM "POVERTY," YOU SHOULD GO AFTER ACTUAL POOR PEOPLE WHO MIGHT PREFER TO BE DEAD RATHER THAN ALIVE! (Take *ML Death’s Game* or *The 8 Show* as an example—they would definitely choose death over having to live another day!!) BECAUSE SERIOUSLY, YOU KILLED A BUNCH OF MIDDLE-CLASS PEOPLE?! (Daon’s family even has a house, and the single parent lady is literally having an apartments!)
Honestly, the whole storyline with the detective and killer is not well thought out.
*The sudden change in tension between Daon and Donghoon feels weird and rushed.
*HOW CAN A DETECTIVE RELY ON A JOURNALIST?!
*All the detective ever does is wait for results!

Killer story, but the ending was just okay.
Things I liked: the cast was wonderful, the storyline was fresh and exciting, the music was hauntingly beautiful and thriller/supernatural element was awesome.Things I didn't love: the romance subplot. Honestly, I would've preferred the drama without romance between the main leads—they really didn't have the best chemistry and the story was so much stronger without it!! I normally am the first person to uplift a romcom (or action/thriller/romcom in this case) but I could not get myself to enjoy that part. Maybe that's just me.

Must watch
The show exhibits remarkable chemistry between the male and female leads, complemented by the exceptional performances of the entire cast. Initially drawn to the series by the presence of Park Shin Hye, I found myself captivated by the other actors as well, who consistently deliver outstanding performances. Each episode is a captivating blend of suspense and humor, culminating in cliffhangers that leave viewers eagerly anticipating the next installment. This series is highly recommended for those who enjoy suspense, romance, anti-hero fantasy, judicial crime, and satanic themes.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Historia desperdiciada

JUST A SCI- FI THRILLER KINDA DRAMA !
At first, I started watching this for just some time. I guess it was worth my time. This drama had a different storyline from other cliche dramas. It started off with a good storyline. As a sci-fi drama, I can say it was good, but it could be much better. I didn't like the ending. There wasn't that much romance, but they added it still a bit. I liked the ML there. I saw him for the first time here in this drama; his acting was good. Park Shin Hye acted good too. loved to see her in a quircky character other than an obedient, crying poor girl. I enjoyed every story though; those cases were amusing to watch. If you love thrillers and sci-fi, you guys can give it a go.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
