Once someone asked Gautam Buddha what is the difference between 'I like you' and 'I love you'?

Gautam Buddha smiled very calmly and gave a very beautiful answer.

He said that when you see a beautiful flower and say 'I like you', it means that you will pluck it and keep it with you.

But when you say 'I love you', it means you will take care of it. You will protect it.
