The Day I Loved You (2023)

Both Filipino dramas are made by the same company. They have a light vibe but unexpectedly deal with heavy topics.

Similar thropes of teenaged angst, love, enemies to friends, high school aged characters dealing with life.
Same emotional score with the characters.
Both are very character driven given the situation.

Both dramas seemingly begin as cute little romances that go on to deal with heavy topics such as grief and acceptance on matters such as terminal illness and death. Both shows do so in a beautiful, emotional way, evoking plenty of sincerity.

Both relationships are between boys who don't really get along at first but have an insane attraction drawing them together anyways. They experience a first love that is pure and genuine but intruded upon by serious plot advancements.

Both are sweet and will make you shed a few tears.
