Victorian motivated struggles
A very profeddional made BL show, typical for Korean productions in general nowadays (hallyu). As they had been since long. The accident and the end of Ep.6 was disturbing. A cliffhanger and 1st peak from where the story develops further on. And what followed in Ep.7 + 8 revealed slowly what we had been hoping for ... BUT ...
Jae Won´s behavior reminds me of an on and off love affair I had being in a position like Ji Hyun. only not being a novice back then. The surfer scene is similar conservative and mirrors the same toxic masculinity like soccer ... but why is rugby but so different?
Another aspect in the show is portraied brilliantly, the old feudal born senior / older towards freshmen / younger members in Korean society and the demand for authority by seniors even if the don´t have any ... Too the fatefull antifeminism especially portrayed by Tae Hyung. Actually the Korean society is still thanks to Konfucianism and Evangicals a very conservative one. And they too have a president now who is a pronaounced antifeminist ...
Yoon Won as the "tomboy" and Ae Ri are well portrayed as the progressive part of the Korean society, while Eun Ji is the psychopathic like bitch queen.
Jae Won ladden with psychological problems and high parental expectations is well portrayed as the fast learning Ji Hyun, country bumpkin crash landed in a highly competive Seoul accademic society.

just beautiful.
this was the most beautiful bl, not only by cinematography but storywise as well. the romance was so deep, it was so much more of a serious bl and i loved that! it didn't only focus on the romance, there was a lot of it focusing on the characters themselves and their struggles which I LOOOOOVEED. something other bls need to take notes on, it really fleshes out the characters and makes them that much more real! again the cinematography was amazing. scenes were shot so beautifully and the quality was just amazing. the whole surfing plot was TO DIE FOR. i love surfing and ocean aesthetic so i loved this. such a beautiful and respectful way of talking about mental health and depression as well, i've never really see a show do it so good and so real. also LOVE the how the side characters were actually accepting, it was just so sweet. all the side characters were really good too, they felt like real people and not just there to assist the main couple. love my supportive queens yoon won and ae-ri.ugh this is just the most gorgeous produciton. yes their love wasn't a perfect cute bl love, but it was raw and real. watch this if you haven't it'll change your life.

I think I've officially found my favorite bl
I loved loved loved this drama, mainly because of its level of authenticity. And realism. There are ten episodes that focus on the story of two characters, who fall in love little by little, but it also focuses on their individual stories, especially Seo Jaewon. What I found most special about it was the way their romance was portrayed.
Watching it, you could feel the tension and the characters really falling in love, which I really appreciate in romances. I've always followed Thai bls and they lack that, most of them at least. The lack of authenticity, the exaggerated, funny and cute way of expressing the characters' love. There's nothing wrong with that, of course, but I personally like this kind of romance better. It was something simple that we could tell even by the way they looked at each other. That's why the actors did an excellent job too. Their chemistry was amazing.
The editing choices were often not the best, although I realize that most of them were for cinematographic and artistic purposes. However, some of them didn't make sense, which I wouldn't exactly point it out as a serious issue.
Otherwise, I think this drama should have had either full hour episodes like regular dramas, or more episodes. Otherwise, it would have been good to have a second season that further developed Seo Jaewon's story, his depression, his relationship with his parents, etc. It was more of a secondary plot, although fundamental to the story, but it would have been interesting.
Regardless, I RECOMMEND IT. Please watch.

Perfect. Simply perfect.
I am speechless. I never expected a show to hit me that hard. I was laughing, crying, worrying... What a perfect piece of art.The cinematography, the scenery, acting, and the incredible music... It just fits together. The team who worked on this series knew what they were doing. They knew when to play music, and when to let the scene and visuals speak for themselves.
The acting and connection is nothing short of amazing. I sensed the pain, the happiness in the actor's eyes. Such a beautiful story. I don't think there can ever be another "Eighth Sense". It was a one of a kind masterpiece that I will never forget.
What a wonderful story about love, loneliness, trauma and forgiveness. I have nothing but kind words to all the people who worked on this. Thank you so much.

Best bl. A must watch.
This is one of the best bl and best series in general ever. Its just perfect. I recommend watching it without hesitation. The character developpement is so well done. Like you dont always agree with someone's behavior but you understand it because of their story. What i also really appreciated is that there wasnt so much cliche. Like the "top" who's tall, strong and always manly and the other one who is weak and shy and cute and girly, no . They were both really cool and not "too manly" nor "too girly", just themselves.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
After watching dozens of Korean BLs, this one remains unbeatable.

Not just a romance
Everything about this series is perfect. The beginning, how we get introduced to the characters and how you get to know them more and more. At first it seems like they're just young adults, trying to live on and trying to fall in love until it suddenly shows how much they were struggling. The development of their relationship felt so natural, not too fast nor to slow. It shows how they slowly start to like each other more and more until the reality hit them and they had to start from the beginning.
The cinematography is truly amazing, the coloring, length of the scene and just the overall vibe are just too good to be true. The scene felt so realist that I sometimes forgot that this is a series and now a real life documentary.
The show really hit it off with portraying emotions, especially when it came to depression and the negative emotions. You could literally feel it through the screen, amazing.
The conan gray song really made the show a 10/10.

We should live the way we want, the way we feel good.
This show is epic! The story beautifully presented that gender does not matter, but it matters with whom you feel good and comfortable.
The main point is that we only live once and we should live the way we want and feel good. Nowhere in the series was there any hatred, shock, or comment about the attraction for the same gender.
The actors, scenes, camera, editing, script, play of light, and soundtrack were incredibly beautiful. I had chills several times.
Oh Jun Taek- Kim Ji Hyun was very sweet, kind, innocent, good, understanding, and intelligent.
Lim Ji Sub (Seo Jae Won) was very charismatic and handsome :D. Beautifully played by mimicry. His work with the camera was perfect. His character's story was one of those bitter and sad ones. And when a person looked at him, he wished him luck in any form. He looked so happy in front of other people and friends. But he carried the pain he experienced in childhood with difficulty and unevenness. He was looking for the meaning of life, joy, shelter, and a place where he would be able to feel himself.

So much to love here
I thought I would never like a K-BL as much as Semantic Error, but The Eighth Sense has moved in and completely taken over. What a beautiful and sumptuous and emotional ride...like surfing. Lots of falls and false starts, but when you finally get to stand up on the board and see the water curl around you, it's magical and like it's meant to be.The eighth sense, as others have mentioned here, is interoception - the sense that starts deep inside a human being, the sensations that are both natural and learned. Some sensations we're born knowing how to attend to, and some we need to learn how to recognize.
This should mark not only a new era of K-BL but a new era of filmmaking and storytelling.

THIS BL IS LITERALLY PERFECT
it was worth every minute of my time. I absolutely loved it. what got me the most is the vibe that it gives you it really makes you feel the same way the characters feel. for example (spoiler ahead) before jihyun got into the accident you kinda notice how the vibe was more cheerful but after jihyun got into the accident the vibe was gloomy and upsetting. and that really made me feel all the emotions. it was portrayed beautifully.and I noticed people saying that the ending was rushed. but it really wasn’t. people would like this bl more if they actually comprehend and payed attention to what was happening bcs since my first watch this has been my fav bl ever since it came out.
I could watch this bl on repeat and never get bored. it is beautiful.

It really was emotional
"Why did she gave everything a ten?" this question is simple to answer. The show has been incredible from the start I already felt many emotions and also could relate to the story a bit in personal ways, the music has been a main part, I was able to feel more emotions because of the songs especially the song in the last Episode at the end was really catching and made me so emotional because what they were saying really matched the vibe of the music. I wouldn't recommend to listen to it before finishing the show bc you need this feeling for the first time everybody who still wants to tap in the song name is "Keep Exploring" by TUPAK, and it's an incredibly emotionally song! Since I don't want to spoiler, I can just say this show is a masterpiece and deserves more recognition! The acting was on point and I really really liked this story, over all I think this show deserves the rating 10/10.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
