Bromance
Comedy
Wow this drama had a comedy side to it more than actual drama. The only reason I watched this is because of 2 things:
1 - Luke aka Itchaya, after coming off watching Dear Donovan . So his story was really full of misunderstanding and such a roll coaster between and literally the whole cast, a crazy controlling mother, a playboy father, a mistress who assumes has everything, and the girl who lies her way to protect a sister who is cheating with a married man!!!
2 - Tay aka thevis, another reason to watch him since his last drama the player. I did expect a lot more from him but his story was a little comedian,, but had the same concept, he sort of falls for his brother girlfriend who he cant seem to talk straight with.
3 - Gun aka Ashira, again last saw him in Not Me and for me this was really strange to see him touch lips with a girl (giggle) got so use to see him with Off etc. ... again his story was full of misunderstanding, after seeing Book aka Sun kissing his girl cruch.
For me this whole drama was just one big misunderstanding and confusion and well just acceptance, for the most silly things and a play boy father who wife just accepts it what ever he does and literally does nothing kind of leaves a question in my mind as to how just could accept what her husband doing and thinking that it was okay.
I watched this on going and evetime an episode came out i found my hesitating to carry on watching.
Overall: Just watch this for the 3 HOT men and nothing else.

Overall, a fun light show!
I started this series without any expectations, since I found it out of nowhere while it was still airing. It's about a mother who tries to set up her three sons with girls she thinks they're the best for them, but she finds that it's not easy when they all fall in love with someone else.
I confess that I decided to watch it mainly because I wanted to see Tay Tawan in a comedy, because he can never disappoint, but I have to say that my favourite storyline was Arty's, played by Gun Atthaphan, who keeps being an amazing actor.
I thought it was pretty funny how Gun can still play teenage characters when next year he will be 30, but he's very convincing anyway. There is something to be said about the actresses who played the love interests as well! They carried the storylines as much as the main boys. Overall, it was a very well defined cast, that worked pretty well.
The stories were fun to follow, even though the way some of them ended disappointed me a little, because they felt a bit rushed. Although, I appreciate how the series was built, dedicating six episodes to each of the brothers and their own stories and backstories.
In conclusion, I have to say that it was a pretty light and easy to follow series, which is always nice to find, even though I don't think I'd rewatch it anytime soon; but the theme song will stay in my head for way too much time!

You will need to both love the cast and Hate to Love to love this show
Some would say that the definition of insanity is repeating the same mistake over and over again and expecting a different result, so by this definition the mother in this drama is indeed insane, and to be honest that may not be the only reason for the audience to come to that conclusion. As this is the story of the mother who wanted to make up for lost time by controlling her grown up kids and how every single attempt at that pretty much backfired. The boys are lovely to watch, not really boyfriend material and have indeed been deeply traumatised by their very rich on money but poor on love childhood. However I do not think I would call them gentle except for maybe they youngest bro. That said I loved them all. As for their points of rebellion/love interests I would say the first one was sweet the second not really my type and the third had a lovely character but was not very well performed.
One thing you may want to know going in to this is that this drama is very much a drama that can easily be split in to 3 more or less completely detached parts. One for each bro with a so called special at the end, so if you find yourself thinking hey this couple is not my cup of coffee you could actually just skip it and move on to the next.
This is also a drama packed with the hate to love trope as well as a bunch of well known and love drama cliches such as the oh so beloved co habitation, misunderstandings, ex comes back, poor woman rich man, power relations etc... There are also a bunch of sweet friendships, backstabbers, cheaters and women who hate women... As well as a how of society double standards towards women showing us yet again how women get blamed for pretty much everything if they show the slightest interest in pleasuring her body... While a male can be a serial cheater but still be viewed as the victim of seduction.
Was it good? no not really... Was it bad no not really? But The boys may not be gentle but they are indeed a pleasure to watch so while I may have wanted to give the plot a 6 9/10 of the cast made me smile whenever they appeared on screen making it worth my precious time. So if you are unfamiliar with the actors and do not like the first episode I advise you to drop this as most of what makes this drama worth your time is the feeling you get from watching the cast and not so much the plot...

Comedy drama
The plot summary is a very generic overview.Overbearing mother Pimpattra has three sons—Itchaya, Thevis, and Ashira—by three different fathers. Regardless of her sons' feelings, Pimpattra has plans to set all three up with women she sees as worthy daughters-in-law. Then three unacceptable women come into her sons' lives.
Having not seen it before I can't say how accurate it will turn out to be, However, after watching the first six episodes with what has transpired so far a more accurate description would seem to be:
Overbearing and controlling mother Pimpattra has three sons—Itchaya, Thevis, and Ashira—by three different fathers. Pimpattra plans to set all three sons up with women she sees as worthy daughters-in-law to the dismay of her sons. Three unacceptable women come into her sons' lives.
1. Kaewklaw- a internet restaurant owner whom Itchaya likes. Things are a little complicated between Itchaya and Kaewklaw. Itchaya's father is having an affair. Itchaya is very protective of his stepmother and tries to intervene in his father's affair. Unfortunately through a series of misunderstandings Kaewklaw is blamed to be the mistress. which she isn't. Everyone has their own agendas and poor Kaewklaw is being blackmailed from three different people who threaten to tell her supposed secret to her mother. Then the chaos begins. What will happen with Kaewklaw and Itchaya?
2. Nuengnaret- an outspoken woman who is working with Thevis and she is Pimpattra's enemy. She and Thevis pretend to date to irate Pimpattra . Pimpattra does some underhanded things with the woman she has chosen to set Thevis up. Will her attempts to breakup Nuengnaret and Thevis succeed? Will Thevis ever speak to his mother again?
3. Nareeya -who is hired to pretend to be Ashira's girlfriend.
Will the three sons find love and what will happen to their relationship with their mother?
So far it has been a funny series with some serious moments. I like this series. I like the story. the actors have good chemistry. It will be interesting to see how the story develops. I would recommend it.
**Update at episode 9
Without putting too much of a spoiler in here. I will state that episode 7 felt disappointing and rushed in the way they put Kaewklaw and Itchaya together, I felt like they needed one more episode to resolve it. The way it was resolved was not satisfying or very believable. If I was Kaewklaw I wouldn't be making up with Itchaya so quickly, that is for sure. It felt like the writers had to hurriedly end Kaewklaw and Itchaya's story so they could get to the next son. I felt like Pimpattra's response was not very credible judged on her previous actions , although, some may say that was her changing and growing.
I already don't like Nuengnaret. After watching two episodes with her I hope she changes and grow because she's not very likable. But maybe that is the point. I feel like it has lost some of it's charm. But it will be interesting to wait and see.
**Update at episode 12
I am glad I hung in there and kept watching the episodes as they did improve. I love the chemistry between the actors. The story is getting better again and I can hardly wait to see what happens in episode 13.
*Update after finishing the series.
It was an OK series I was disappointed in the third son's story. I felt like the first son's story was the best except for how the two got together in the end. That could have been a lot better. It was not realistic. I have already stated my opinion on that so I won't restate it. The second son's story was OK but the third son's story could (should) have been better. I was glad there wasn't a fourth son,
However, it did end positively so that's a good thing. I really think the writers could have done better on the script. In several place the script felt flat, I felt like the acting was fine. It's not a series I would re-watch that is for sure.
If you haven't started it You might want to find a different series to watch. If you have started it you are probably curious about how it ends so stay the course it does have a good enough ending. Although there is definite room for improvement.

A story about Arty
Three GentleBros (3GB) is one of the better dramas to come out this year. From the beginning, I thought the concept was original, even if its execution wasn’t always so. While there is some heavy plot recycling throughout the series, I wasn’t as tired as I normally am after 18 episodes because having the three mini-stories kept me engaged.Within each mini-story, there are essentially two plotlines going on: the budding relationship between the main couple and the tension between whichever son and the mom. The overall stories are pretty rinse and repeat and the synopsis is pretty much what happens each time. There is the added device of “my mom is trying to marry me off, let me pay a girl to fake date me.” However, there is enough individuality with how the relationships develop and the personalities of the sons that keeps it interesting. Additionally, I found each relationship development got better with each story, rather than worse.
Per usual, these are all seasoned actors and actresses who give very good performances; however, I’m going to only focus on the mom and sons. Mam did a very good job as Pim. Even though I detest Pim, the character required someone who balance between manipulative and well-intentioned. However, Pim never seems to learn her lesson and keeps making the same mistakes repeatedly, I’d much rather have seen the show try to justify her behavior towards her sons based on experiences from her past. I don’t care for Luke, I keep watching his shows and I never like him any better. Itch was ok, but for as much as he hates his mom, he’s the most like her and I don’t feel like his character grew all that much. Conversely, I liked Tay as Thames. I think Thames is a hard character to play because it runs the risk of a wooden performance. Thames is calculating but wants to feel a connection and that gives him a sense of sincerity when dealing with Nueng.
Frankly, I feel like this whole show was really about the final son, Arty. He not only appears in virtually all the episodes, but we see his growth throughout all of them. I admit, I was put off by him in the early episodes because he was so coddled. However, even in the first 12 episodes, we see the hold his mother has on him lessen. By the time we get to his story the stage is set for him to have some introspection and we see how much emotional trauma his mom has put him through and continues to put him through. By the end of the series, he is the one who has grown the most.
Overall, this show had an original concept, good acting, and some decent themes if you know where to find them. I wish the writing was just a bit better to gives us more unique stories between the brothers. If nothing else, watch the last 6 episodes to see Gun’s story arc, which I maintain is the best.

2/3 of this show wasn't good.
I have heard that each brother's story is written by a different person. Although I have not confirmed it, it felt like it was three different people writing the show. That being said I think whoever wrote Gun's storyline should have written the whole show. If this is true that each story is written by someone else, it really worked against the show. It felt the characters changed a bit too much in character, especially the mother.Itch's Story: 6.5
This was a hot mess. From the affairs to the constant yelling, and the cruel treatment of Mook. I could not take this seriously at all. I could not tell if Luke was a bad actor or if Itch was just overdramatic with everything it does. The itch was just rude and angry, with good reason, but to a point. He had internal conflicts about how treated women, but he never changed. In my opinion, I don't think Mook should have stayed with Itch or his family because they were genuinely crazy. In this storyline, Mook was the only likable character and I wished she had more of a backbone when it came to her sister's affairs.
Thames' Story: 5
To put it in simple terms: boring and unjustified. Out of all the boy's reasons why they hate their mother, his was the worse. Everyone had practical reasons why they did not like her and his was that she's just controlling. Which would be fine, but the way he behaved was extreme for his reasoning. He was the worse one and his story was just boring. I like him better in Itch's story than in his own. He would do/say terrible things to his mother and only cared when his girlfriend told him it was wrong instead of figuring it out on his own. I like Tay, but this was not it. I am not sure if it was the acting or the writing, but this was so boring I watch it 2x fast. And there was no plot to this one. It was just Thames hates his mother
Arty's Story: 7.5
This was way better than the other plots. It felt like I was watching a show with an actual plot. While Itch's had a plot, this one was more likable. The characters were better, the writing was better. And this had more comedy in it. Don't get me wrong I laughed at the stories, but mainly because they were ridiculous. But for this story I actually enjoyed it. It was a nice sweet story that didn't need to do much to be great. The acting was better and the side characters were more likable. My only complaint is that I wish Arty and View communicated more and avoided misunderstandings.

It is a time waste
Seriously , it was a time waste . It looked like that there was a task that the brothers have to complete it . That was to have a girlfriend withan intension to get married and the only obstacle to their task was their mother who wanted a high class girl for her sons. What I don't like about the drama
1. Overacting by the first leads specially the male lead .
2. Separately showed each love story
Instead of ,it would be good if the drama ran the love stories in parallel so the viewers could watch their story till the end .
What I like
Second male lead's story.
What I want
1. Perfect ending ..... It was so much hotch...potch . Means in order to complete the drama in hurry , the drama didn't give the clean and perfect ending ,

Not going to lie I showed up for Gun.
I wasn't expecting a whole lot from this show but I ended up absolutely loving it. All the of the stories where really well written and the cast was great as well. The actor playing the mother did an amazing job and Gun as the annoying little brother who's actual just really lonely was so cute! It was nice that they found small ways to included the couples from the other stories into the next one, a lot of these shows just drop the first couple and move on to the next and leave you hanging as to what they are like after they get together. Great show!Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Gentle Bros
Post: My Thoughts So FarItchaya - (The first brother) I hated the fact that Kaewklao had to constantly make amends for her sister’s wrongdoing. Her sister was having the affair with Itchaya’s father who was constantly cheating on his wife and on his mistress. I felt bad for Kaew because she was pulled into her sister’s mess, while at the same time she was still helping out their mom. Throughout the misunderstandings between Itchaya & Kaew, they both realized their feelings for each other due and became a couple, despite his mother’s overbearing behavior.
Thames - (The second brother) Nueng had grown on me throughout. At first, I had thought that she had came off as arrogant. But, she wasn’t arrogant. I felt that she wore her heart on her sleeve, she knew what she wanted and how to get it. She didn’t play games when it came to taking care of business and she enjoyed being independent. Now, her so called best friend Vivi had no tears falling from her face as she was finding ways to backstab her friend because she felt that Nueng wasn’t treating her like a friend. Overall, Nueng became a better person for Thames instead of Vivi.

The Three Gentlebros
I've only watched the first two stories, but I'm looking forward to Arty's because I think it'll be better.Itch’s story: I liked Itch's story, but there's something I didn't like. The main girl, Kaewklao, is nice and cute, but she should speak up more, which bothered me. Itch is the same. I get that some shows have characters like that for drama, but it didn't work for me here. That was my only annoyance, but otherwise, I enjoyed the humor, and both Itch and Kaewklao acted well on the comedy and romance. This is a 7/10 for me to watch again.
Thames’ story: Thames' story turned out to be quite controversial for me. I didn't realize it was part of a series about three brothers until I finished Itch's story. Despite my high hopes for Thames' series, I ended up disappointed. Thames' choice of a fake partner was even worse than his mother, which was disheartening. Personally, I think swapping the roles of Nueng, the main girl, and Vivi, her best friend, might have made the series more bearable. Nueng's selfishness and lack of accountability always rubbed me the wrong way. Despite being named the best CEO of the year, the series failed to justify her receiving that award, as she seemed solely focused on her own feelings without considering others. It would have been better if the series showed her as a hardworking brand owner (like Kaewklao working hard on her resturant), rather than just a selfish girl. Waiting to see her character development was challenging (although I feel like there is no character development for her until the very last minute), as she rarely apologized for her actions. The forced couple dynamic between Thames and Nueng was uncomfortable, especially with her excessive physical affection. Overall, watching this series was tough, and it made me miss Itch's story and its comedy. Here's hoping for a better storyline in Arty's story!

The three gentlebros
So far, I have only watched itchaya’s story and the plot is okay and a little interesting; a story about three brothers with different fathers and a very controlling mother. But one thing I’d like to say is that after itchaya and kaewklaw slept together since they were under some sort of drug, the story of them reuniting was kind of random. Suddenly itchaya realises his feelings and becomes super shameless and obviously flirts with kaewklaw. If someone ever drunkenly sleeps with you, you would probably try and avoid them right?? Not feel flustered that they’re trying to reconcile with you and like them more. I just think that the reconciling part of itch’s story is kinda questionable but overall this show is quite ok. I am looking forward to seeing Gun atthaphan/arty’s and Tay Tawan/thame’s stories!Esta resenha foi útil para você?
