What I liked least:
- Everyone in this story lacks common sense except maybe Lady Pin at times.
- The big secret that was discovered in less than a minute by the villain of the story and the outsiders to the family pissed me off.
- In regards to the ending, the classic rivalry that is systematically found in a lakorn isn't transcendent, it lacked a certain amount of fierceness.
- The point that bothered me the most was the acting, most of the audience was ecstatic about the chemistry of the m/m couple whereas I witnessed two guys playing their roles each in their own spot w/o really interacting (no, I'm not even talking about a kiss, but that palpable tension that gives you goosebumps just watching two actors interact)
- Overall the acting for all the casts is exaggerated.
However, where this story wins points:
- It was broadcast in mainstream and therefore didn't target only BL lovers and that's more than positive.
- Karma is in the spotlight and keeps a certain logic.
- The educational aspect, the emphasis on the notion of respect, empathy, forgiveness and the bromance. I don't remember seeing in a Lakorn male characters so respectful, whether it's towards women, towards subordinates, towards the poor, or to put it simply, towards others, and honestly, it feels quite pleasant.
Personally I'll forget Jiu and Tian pretty quickly, but I'll remember the kick-ass bromance. Final score 8.3 out of 10 thanks to the best relationship between brothers Yang and Tian.

Lovely - Highly rexommended.
Tags, be damned and watchers drawn for whatever reason. However you got here - It is all good. This series was brilliance in, and of itself. The story was well written, the actors up to the task. And all, without demonizing the characters, with that typical Victorian mindset, and ending that is used far to often."To Sir, With Love "could have gone the way of so many of these Thai stories, but the production respected modern watchers. Giving us a historical reality, in the guise of a world we could navigate unscathed, and still mindful of content. The story of a family, a culture - Where the beginnings of change are better seen in hindsight. A story where viewers, become privy to a character's personal experience and can relate. Where, the writer understood true romance, and didn't try to take the easy way out. Highly, recommended.

Hidden Gem of 2022
This is my first time watching a lakorn… and I loved every second of it. Literally the pipeline of me clicking on this out of curiousity to wait, is this a soap opera? to bawling my freaking eyes out was truly astounding.I would say the charm of this series lies in the relationships between the main characters. The brothers were probably the most touching and heartfelt element of this series. I truly felt that they loved each other deeply and wanted each other’s happiness. I would say they had nearly all of the most emotionally impactful interactions on the series. One of my favorite sibling dynamics I’ve seen in a really long time.
The romances in the series are very lovely, though I would argue their more of a side dish to the actual story.
Acting was great for some, horrible for others but regardless it was entertaining. The villains are all caricatures.
The OST is INCREDIBLE. You know it’s a good OST because even I noticed it lol. They match the show to well and pair perfectly with the tone of the show.
I would say this show is maybe not for everyone. I‘be said it once and I’ll say it again: I’m a slut for drama. If you are not, you probably won’t enjoy this because this show is ALL drama.
I would absolutely rewatch this (provided I have had some time to emotionally recover). Highly recommend.

ONE OF THE BEST, COMPLETE, MEMORABLE BL I EVER WATCHED !
I never knew this drama was really good good drama ! The story started on the things I am not familiar with, it was my first time seeing a Chinese oriented organization run by Thai, or maybe because they were Chinese descendants. The part that Mr. Zhang a part of their Association being cornered on the day of his recognition as leader or something as far as I remembered, but He was announced also as a Gay that made him not worthy to lead the association is something that is really good to me as a beginning of the story specially the part where he suicide in from of Mr. Song the Head of the Association and cursed him, and later on Tian the first born of the first Madam or first wife of Mr. Song , and to-be the next head of the Association, but since Tian is gay his mother Lin will have to to every thing to keep it secret, and that's where the story run
1. The Mushroom Part
I think this drama is a little bit fantasy in some ways, because of the beetle or orchid powder thing that when is thrown to yo, you will be poisoned and some kind of mushroom will grow to your body. Many part of the drama run through Dong the worker knowing the secret of Tian , it is disgusting that they even ate the mushroom that has grown to Dongs body when he was killed by Lin and Jia. I really felt the situation they have, and the best tandem is Lin and Jia in killing and Hiding lol. it is kind of amazes me .. specially Jia , I liked her facial expression in every situation, she is a good actress !
2. Ms. Chan
I don't know why but Ms. Chan the second wife is my favorite character here, I understand her why she is always suspicious and angry , it is really hard to be always second in your life , it is really hard to be always not heard .. but maybe because Ms. Chan wants to end it, she does everything .. she is funny in some ways also her slave I'm gonna miss them plus ! she is so beautiful !
3. 3 wives
When the household is always on chaos because Mr. Song Have three wives who always fights is funny, I pity Mr. Song to receives all their complaints and being stressed when he found out one of them did evil thing and then later blame each other .. this is the reason why we should only have one wives lol . I admired Mr, Song here he indeed did a great job being a head and a father !
4. Yang and Pin
Yang is the best brother ! I think he is just a fantasy like not real ! coz no one is as good as that .. in the end He did his promise to Tian to be in His side forever .. I never saw hIm angry to Tian here inspite that his mother wants him to Hate Tiam , He never did , I love his character and he is so manly having such a fair pinkish skin , and Pin such a lovely woman the are fit together I hope they would have their own drama one day.
5. They made clear the curse of Mr. Zhang
Along the story I kind of hated the part where Tian being Gay seems because of Zhang's Curse to Mr, Song , that them believing the reason why Tian is Gay. at first it looks like Being gay is just a curse , but thankfully when Mr. Song Had a dream of Mr. Zhang saying what he said is not to curse Tian and what he said is not a curse at all, but he wants only a respect as a human being , not being humiliated for who he is .. gays can be a good leaders also , sometimes they are even more excellent , and Tian is one of the example
6. Tian and Jiu
OMG this is the main main reason and main event I am always looking and waiting for ! OMG the chemistry they have I love it, they did an excellent job here, i liked the jealousy part they have .. the part that Jiu always saves Tian , and how they develop their love to each other .. I like every thing about it . !
I kind of asking myself.. when everyone is questioning Tian as a gay .. and when everyone knew that Jiu is Tian's lover no one asked if Jiu is gay also .. Is he a bisexual anyways , not really important , I just love Him for Tian , in Tians gentleness He is the protector !
7. Acceptance
Since this is a Historical Drama, Tian had a dream there where he hopes that every kind of love is accepted , no gender, no color and everything is accepted for who or what they are ! The portrayal of this drama has a part of like this is what will happen when a parent cannot accept their child for who they are , as Lin pushes to get Tian marry a woman and hides everything until the end and until there is chaos. Maybe it is indeed the time for us to accept what we cannot change ..
I can really relate to Tian that He thinks he is different that's why there is chaos, if he is straight it would be easier and everything will be easier , which is I feel sometimes .. but as you accept who you are , you will be accepted too, maybe not by everyone but as you are true to yourself there will always be a door for you and people who will embrace you
I just love this drama, this is a complete one, The story is direct, easy to understand and every situation made sense and contributed to the story .. very very good character, very convincing very nice plot, very nice acting , simple props and effects but is convincing enough . no dull moment. definitely a Memorable one and a highly recommended !
One of 2023's best Thai BL !

*cue dramatic violin and drums intro*
Ahh, soap operas... who doesn’t love them once in a while? This is my very first Thai Lakorn which, I confess, I only watched for queer romance in a historical setting (with a bonus NOT tragic ending). As soap operas go, this is one of the most bearable ones - no temporary amnesia, love triangles or 100 episodes worth of meandering plot. That is not to say it’s without the signature genre traits: there’s an overabundance of scheming family members and misunderstandings and crying and repetitive conversations but it’s worth it for the gorgeous love story and the unfading bond between two brothers. When Thailand is offering a gay romance and a soap opera all in one, it would seem a moot point to hope for fleshed-out female characters, right? WRONG. I was pleasantly surprised that women not only dominate the cast (the only men of importance are the three leads) but they are overall, besides glitter and romance, the best part of the drama. The actresses are by far the better performers, each given at least a couple scenes to really shine; the women are different and complex, and every single one is given more depth by the end. Rightfully, it seems that all the budget went into their costumes, while the city this takes place in was relegated to the same three (3) streets. I cannot tell how accurate the dresses were to the time period but they were certainly beautiful and eye-catching.
I only have a few other things to say to convince you to watch this: glitter poison fights, a straight romance that is as adorable as it is watchable, Tian's secret, scissors, women murdering men.

From To Sir, With Love to To Them, I love.
I like the flow and concept of the story. The setting and all really fits it's parts. All the characters shows important role.
The loyalty of the personal servant of all the characters is promising that they are willing to risk their lives for their madam/master and I commend the supporting role of aunt Jia here.
Everything was perfect and there's an unexpected twist, very unpredictable.
Though the story doesn't focus on the main couple but they stay in the subject which is the secret of Tian for being a homosexual.
It also shows how hard it is to be a homosexual in the past because everyone will judge you, no matter how good you are if you are homosexual you are being degraded.
The series is full of message, the love for mother and child, brotherhood, loyalty, it also shows how they protect their image, greed for power, and many more.
This is one of the series that I wish doesn't end.
One of the best BL series I have watched.

Great start culminates in drama overkill
i really loved the first few episodes of this drama. The period setting, the ostracizing of gay people and the harm this causes to entire families, the family status that must be upheld at all times, the falling in love, the plotting, the shame, the secrecy... It was done so well! The disappointment could not have been bigger when halfway all this gets pushed to the background to deal with just the war between the former business partners. The emphasis on this particular story line makes that everything else is in service of it. Characters are molded to fit the narrative, dramatic fight scenes and battles are dragged on to infinity... it's a mess.
The last 2 episodes were just me hoping somebody would die already to make this end. The final scenes are so sweet it made my teeth hurt. Everyone who was ready to drink each others blood in the beginning is now lovey dovey with the world and it's just not it. I wish they had stuck to the line from the first 5 or 6 episodes. If they had done that, this would have been a fantastic drama. I call for a do-over!

I loved it, but not as a BL.
This is a true lakorn with scenery chewing performances, especially from the mother characters. It is a Thai tellenovella + Gone With the Wind but gay.
I loved it: A glorious central brother relationship (the best, made me cry), het romances, class divide + gay *gasp* main romance, the campy drama of it all. Arranged marriage, rebellion, cut sleeves, dramatic death with curses and regrets, beautiful if inaccurate costumes, secrets unraveling, cover ups, sparkle murder, sex herbs, coils within coils including snakes and death by glitter (is anything gayer on this earth?). It’s a WILD ride.
It’s not BL. It’s not a romance, it’s a family drama Thorn Birds style but it does end happy for our gay boys.

Brilliant production, brilliant story, brilliant actors
I didn't expect this series to be this good. At first, I was hesitant to watch it because it had more episodes than other Thai series, and the running time was even longer than other series. I thought it would be boring, but I was wrong because I really enjoyed every episode. From the first episode, the source of the main conflict in this series is perfectly depicted. From the first episode alone it was already full of tension, and I couldn't stop watching after finishing one episode. That's because the cliffhanger tempted me to watch more.
Every actor in this series left a deep impression on me. Their acting is pitch perfect, and each character stands out in their own way. Even though it is a historical series, it is not boring at all, in fact there are many things we can learn from this series. I will definitely rewatch it. I can say this is the best BL series I have ever watched.

To Sir, Tian’s Secret
Despite my low rating I didn’t hate this series. But I didn’t like it either. I fast forwarded 75% of it from ep5. I got tired of the repetitive dialogue between Tian and his Mom & Yang and his Mom.Almost the whole cast had the same exact face and expression in very scene for every situation. Yang’s mom was the worst of them followed by Jia. I would have put 1/10 for the acting but Yang, Pin and Jiu’s siblings were the only bright spots in terms of acting and giving different facial expressions to match the scene in an otherwise one face for every scenario acting so I added 2 extra for a 3/10.
I don’t know what Jia is doing as a servant if she is this all knowing orchid and different animal species concocting badass murdering queen. She should be the leader of the clans.
Someone just happens to always be listening in on other peoples conversations. I can excuse some of the eavesdropping as they made sense, but some were unplanned conversations but somehow someone was magically just there eavesdropping. The one that did it for me was when Jia overheard Bua and Yang talking in ep12. Jia has never gone to Bua’s place before that but all of a sudden she just happens to go over to Bua’s place and overhears that convo. Puh-lease.
The overall plot premise sounded interesting that’s why I decided to watch this but after watching the product, I can say it’s not my cup of tea.
Although I finished this it was a struggle and the fast forward button was maximumly utilized.
I changed my rating from 2/10 to 5/10 because of the last 3 eps. Although I still fast forwarded most of it the last 3eps were the best eps of the whole series, IMO.
5/10 overall rating.
