Second lead syndrome
The show started off promising although how promising can a show be about a girl who essentially feels that falling in love with a hot guy instead of an ‘ugly’ guy will solve all of her relationship issues.Hwan Jae Yeol (the ml) is honestly toxic yet we are meant to ship him and Bunny together. This dude bullies her, is overly possessive of her even by K drama standards, runs to his ex constantly, kisses her for the first time in front of his ex just to desperately latch onto her, lacks communication skills whenever Bunny asks him a question, barely makes any effort with her friends unlike Ji Won and genuinely has 0 personality.
I know she clearly doesn’t end up with Ji Won from Lee Chae Min being presented as the ml but he is a much better guy for Bunny. Dude is actually wholesome, kind, cares for his sister, interacts with Bunny’s friends, drives her around everywhere and always cheers her up.
I’m honestly done with the toxic ML always getting the girl.
The story essentially has no substance after a while. Would not recommend. Tbh Lee Chae Min and Roh Jeong Eui really need to start choosing better dramas cause their acting isn’t awful it’s the scripts that suck.

Come for the Pretty Faces, Stay Because You Forgot Where the Remote Is
Crushology 101 kicks off with a dazzling premise: a young woman, freshly humiliated, decides that from now on, only gorgeous men are worthy of her time. Truly groundbreaking. If you ever wanted a show that promises emotional growth and then immediately forgets about it in favor of pretty faces, congratulations... you’ve found it.-> Story and Pacing:
The opening scandal is genuinely hilarious. But after that, the plot politely packs its bags and leaves. Bunny’s "handsome-only" rule is less about emotional healing and more about assembling the Korean drama version of a boy band. Growth is "teased" (if by teased you mean "mentioned and ignored"), and episodes start blending together into one long montage of Bunny blushing at different men.
-> Characterization:
Ban Hee-jin (Bunny) begins as someone you root for, until you realize she’s stuck on a hamster wheel of terrible decisions, and the script is too scared to let her get off.
The male leads (Ji-won, Jae-yeol, A-rang)? Icons of originality. We’ve got the brooding quiet guy, the smug flirt, and the sensitive artist - almost as if someone checked off a bingo card titled "Standard K-Drama Love Interests."
Their instant fascination with Bunny is truly touching, considering none of them know her beyond her tendency to trip over her own feet and stare dramatically into space.
-> Tone and Execution:
The show fully commits to its webtoon look, which is adorable until it’s supposed to get serious. Emotional scenes flash by so fast you’d think the editors had a hot dinner waiting. Any heartfelt moment is immediately buried under a mountain of cartoonish antics. Emotional stakes? Never heard of them.
-> Highlights (Such As They Are):
Bunny’s internal monologues are gold if you enjoy secondhand embarrassment.
Jae-yeol and Bunny actually have chemistry (an endangered species here).
Every once in a while, the show remembers it could be about self-esteem and body image... before getting distracted by another "accidental fall into a guy’s arms" scene.
-> Verdict:
Crushology 101 is colorful, chaotic, and as deep as a puddle. It’s the perfect background noise for folding laundry or wondering what more interesting dramas you could be watching. It’s just another webtoon adaptation you forgot you watched.

As a filler drama? works but is forgettable
Started off like a solid rom-com felt fun and had me a little hooked. The actors have chemistry for sure, and I can totally see them shining in better-written roles. But this script? Meh. Way too dragged, could’ve easily wrapped in like 8 episodes max.I liked the light vibe and it does look pretty on screen, but even as a filler drama, it got boring. The clichés weren’t even the fun kind. It just kept floating without hitting any emotional high.
Watch it if you're bored and need something chill but don’t expect anything fresh

A CURRENT MUST WATCH IF YOU LOVE COLLEGE ROMANCE!!
the duo (Roh Jeong Eui and Lee Chae-Min) are back again as main leads after the terrible drama "hierarchy" which they released earlier this year. Though the drama had no plot and their chemistry in that drama was marvellous, So after I get to know they been casted together in a romance drama as main leads I was super excited to see how it would turn out and the drama just amazed me more their chemistry gets better every episode their scenes together make me giggle and blush. The story about her failed relationships is also a fun and new concept. Episode 4 is just left me craving for more!!! Can't wait for more episodes <3 IF YOU ARE INTO COLLEGE ROMANCE DO WATCH IT FS!!Esta resenha foi útil para você?
A lighthearted show that should not be taken too seriously and a thoroughly enjoyable watch
I had very low expectations for this show, so I was pleasantly surprised when I found myself counting down the days for the next episode every week ever since I binged the first 4 eps.This show is not very complex (although it definitely gains more depth as the episodes progress), but it is entertaining and interesting nonetheless, especially if you like romcoms and don't require an in-depth plot in order to enjoy a show. I really enjoyed the pacing and how quickly story arcs resolve and new arcs begin.
In my opinion casting was done extremely well and the actors were believable as their characters. I absolutely love the soundtrack and immediately downloaded the OST after finishing the first 4 eps.
This show reminded me of Business Proposal (something about the use of comedy brought it to mind, it is definitely romcom comedy not just slapstick comedy which I detest seeing in romcoms since it just kills the romance) as well as Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo (if they attended an arts university instead of a sports university, also the male lead still having a soft spot for his ex when she is in trouble and said ex wanting to get back together after abandoning him)
I will definitely be rewatching this show in the future since it does not heavily rely on plot twists and reveals so the joy from watching is mainly from seeing the characters interact. While this is not a particularly layered or deep show, and I have seen shows that were much higher rated and more complex, I have to say that I found this show more entertaining than the vast majority of those shows. I'm all for high stakes, compelling themes and complex narratives but in my opinion a show falls flat if it can't entertain me.
Lastly, I feel the need to point out that it is a bit misleading that this show is presented on MDL as having 5 main characters when in reality the main characters of the show consist of the 3 characters that make up the main love triangle (they're the only ones on the poster for a reason). I do like him as an actor but I wasn't specifically watching the show to see him and yet I was still caught offguard by how briefly Kim Hyunjin actually features in the show (I think it's roughly 2 and a half episodes and I don't foresee him reappearing in the 2nd half) and I think this will also apply to the 4th Male lead who has only just been soft launched half way through the show.
I will update this review when I have finished the last third, but I have seen 8/12 episodes so far.

Incómoda, superficial y decepcionante Uncomfortable, superficial and disappointing
Aunque eran guapos, no pude soportarlo.
I had to stop watching Crushology 101 right at the moment when three guys literally surrounded the female lead to fight over her. That scene was the last straw. They looked ridiculous, as if they had no dignity or personality of their own — just existing to win her over. Even if they were handsome, I couldn’t take it. Just imagining this happening in real life makes me uncomfortable. What on earth were the writers thinking? Do they really believe that’s attractive or entertaining?
What also bothered me a lot was how the series constantly focuses on physical appearance. Every time a new guy shows up, the girls swarm him, harass him with comments like “he’s so hot,” and don’t even let him walk. That’s not funny — it’s disturbing. Reverse the genders in those scenes and you’ll see how wrong it feels. I don’t understand why this behavior is being normalized, and worse, romanticized.
The whole show talks about who’s more handsome or popular, completely ignoring personal value, intelligence, or empathy. It makes me angry to think that teenagers might watch this and believe it’s okay to judge people only by their looks, or that being wanted by multiple people is the greatest achievement you can have.
I had hopes for this story, but all I felt in the end was frustration. What a wasted opportunity.

It is a decent show, really. Extremely silly with the sort of romantic problems that mostly make me want to tear my hair out, but in this show they are firmly backed up by character development.
These are good actors too: Lee Chae Min is very magnetic and has good skills, Roh Jeong Eui has been in the industry long enough to be called a trouper, Cho Jun Young will be a useful second lead for some time to come. They are young, but that is why God made silly rom-coms, to give young actors a place to start out.
I wasnt going to write a review, but I have been thinking -- if the usual tropes are tiresome but showwriters cannot stray from the genre bec they get harshly criticized for that too, we should look for any renovations.
I have got one. The happy smile when out with your boyfriend. Not timid, not bashful, full and easy. In Heesu the straight couple at one point are so relaxed and happy it seemed like a renovation of the romance vision. Heesu and his love cannot be so relaxed, which was a realistic nod to dating gay in highschool. Here in C101 Ji Won (Cho Jun Young )so far loses in love, but Bunny (Park Ji Hun) just wants to have a summery easy love with her pick, Jae Yeol (Lee Chae Min) .
Displaying happiness as a couple in public. Not very kdrama is it? So a renovation. Here is my question then. How will the obligatory scenes of the-family-accepting-the-new member be affected? Here Bunny's somewhat unusual parents made quick work of acceptance, and it wasnt at the end of the show....

JUSTICE FOR JI WON!!!
At the beginning, I was excited to watch this drama, afterall the actors, actress, their acting & visuals are perfect. But as I continued, I dislike the plot now.Ji Won is the perfect guy; he loves Banni deeply, cares for her immensely. He declined her sister's request to visit exhibition, just to spend time with banni. Whenever she felt depressed, he stayed with her, cared for her. He always made her feel deserving. Despite his efforts, she always left him. She choose Jae Yeol over him 😭, I feel bad for him. He's literally so kind, sweet, and truly deserving to be with Banni more than Jae Yeol, who took her for granted.
Jae Yeol, he no clarity about his own feelings, he's quite selfish. In the beginning I loved him till Yeo Rum appeared, he changed, he started being anxious in case both Yeo Reum and Banni were around, as if he was afraid to hurt and lose both of them, ain't this a Playboy act?!! He got stuck between past and present, he ended up hurting not only Banni but also Yeo Reum. Why did he give hope to Yeo Rum, if he was he asked to break up with her for real!!
I struggle to understand Jae Yeol's actions and the plot's direction, especially why Banni would choose someone who made her feel worse. According to me, this drama ain't worth watching, it was a waste of my time and tears 🙂.

“Promising Start, But Fails to Deliver"
*Crushology 101* starts off with some promising aspects, especially its beautiful soundtrack, with the intro OST being particularly captivating and well-suited to the atmosphere of the drama. The settings are also visually appealing, with well-chosen locations that create a pleasant and cozy vibe, perfect for a romantic K-Drama.However, despite these strengths, *Crushology 101* ultimately falls short. The plot quickly becomes predictable, filled with clichés and unoriginal twists, and the characters lack depth. The performances, while not disastrous, feel shallow and lack sincerity, making it hard to form a connection with the characters. The emotional moments fall flat, which detracts from the drama's impact.
*Crushology 101* offers a beautiful soundtrack and pleasant visuals, but its predictable story and lackluster performances make it hard to fully enjoy. It ends up being a disappointing experience, leaving you wishing for more.

Crushes? Just annoyance.
ML with his attitude and arrogant behavior was the most annoying thing bout this drama.Honestly thought this drama was gonna be bout fl having crushes left and right because it's like so many ml's?.. But one guy didn't even get a chance in the story lol. 9 episodes in and only just seconds of him, (or episodes without him.) Like still no sign of his character being around fl completely. So lost my patience.
Don't really have anything else to say about this drama because every episode felt like a filter.
Nothing happening but the same nonsense with the 3 lead characters.
