I hated the glowing eyes
Every time I watch bl I try to shut my brain off, watch with no expectations of a decent plot. Unfortunately you can’t really shut your brain off and can’t help but hope that somehow the bl won’t be that bad. This was uh haha let’s say I don’t have words for it.Be warned spoilers ahead….
What I disliked
1.I hate the “Im willing to die for you” kind of love that comes from nowhere. I mean you barely know this person, and even after you just found out he initially wanted to use you and kill you to save his ass you still wanna spend eternity with him?
2.I hate when people go like “my brother is too caring, why he is always checking up on me to be assured that I’m safe.” That to me is being ungrateful.
I would like to believe that after you were kidnapped as a child and even now as an adult your are fond of spending times with hot strangers you barely know, your brother has every reason to be worried.
3.Why the heck did the main lead kill his bff? He could have stopped him from hurting his ka lover without having to kill him. But nooo, his loyalty is to this lover he’s known for two seconds. Also, I thought as someone soon to die he is weaker than his bff who is full of life, how the heck is he stronger than bff?
4.I also recall the vampire main lead hurting some other student in the bathroom. So, main lead is bad person.
5.I was disappointed by the ending, but not because one of them died. If anything I wanted both of them to die. The vampire guy had no problem killing his first human lover for fun and somehow now that his life is at stake he can not bring himself to kill his new lover even if it means he has to die himself? How does this even work? Was his first love not strong enough to give in to the bloodthirst? Also like others have pointed out, he could have found ways to drink his now lover’s blood without having to kill him.

um. okay?
honestly im not sure if im happy that i watched roommates of poongduck 304 before this or not...PRODUCTION:
when i say that the fact that these dramas can be so short is their downfall? this is exactly what i mean. everything is so thrown together and makes little to no sense - the transistions are nonexistent. the camera angles were sometimes werid. flashbacks that made no sense. 10 minutes for a single episode is just not enough for a story like this. music was not memorable.
STORY:
i do honestly get what they were going for but i cant say im happy with the end result. for such a short runtime they really try to jam as much information that makes 0 sense into your brain as possible. the timeline is a mess i have no idea if this is supposed to be a couple days? weeks?? months??? idk. the dialogue is also definitely awkward too (or at least the translations made it seem that way). also the ending sucked.
CHARACTERS / ACTING:
jun ho (kim jiwoong) is fine? jiwoong is really trying his best with what he's got but the dialogue does not help at all. but honestly at the end he really is a fuckin idiot and i really dont like it when characters make stupid choices for the sake of being stupid.
min hyun (yoon seobin) has a similiar issue - but he does play such an innocent character really well. i feel like if the writing was better this could've been pulled off a lot better. seobin is trying his best though as well and really pulls through on emotion.
im so glad we have roommates of poongduck 304 because it proves that the chemistry between jun ho and min hyuk was that good that they deserved a second chance. the parts where they actually got to TALK and INTERACT?? were the best parts of the series. im telling you if you liked the chemistry between seobin and jiwoong you need to check out roommates of poongduck 304. its so much better.
the side characters - there was way too many. again - if you only have 80 minutes to tell your story. you need to cut it down. i got so confused on who the villian was and what the hell was happening. i really just didnt care and wished the focus was on the actual couple.
OVERALL:
i am new to bl and im sad to say this is the worst bl ive ever seen. the production is so awful and the story while it had potential was carried out in the worst way possible. kim jiwoong and yoon seobin carried this series but they could only do so much. if i ever watch this again it will be too soon.

Why did it have to be this short?
I have always loved vampire stories, like I'm obssesed with them, and when I saw there was a BL with this topic I just needed to watch it, but it wasn't a good idea.At first I was shocked when I started watching the first episode, because it was only 10 minutes long, and I thought that maybe it was like a kind of introduction, but no, all the episodes are that long, except the last one, that is 20 minutes long.
Story
The theme was okay, I mean, a typical vampire story that needs a specific human's blood to, in this drama's case, become a human. This is a fantasy story, and in my opinion for it to be explained correctly it NEEDS to be longer. Everything happened really fast and it felt like I was watching a summary of the actual drama. The solution to the problem (or the no solution), which I'm not going to say because is spoiler, is ridiculous, I mean, they wanted a specific ending and that's why they did it like that, but it doesn't make any sense.
I also want to add that it is a vampire story but it didn't actually feel like one, because as something normal in a fantasy story, there are a lot of mysteries and so on,
Acting
Nope I didn't like it, it seemed so forced sometimes and I couldn't feel any type of connection between the two main characters, so meh.
Music
Again, as the drama is really short I couldn't listen to much of the music, but from what I heard it was really good. This maybe is the thing I liked the most about the drama.
So overall I didn't like it and I'm not going to watch it again. I watched it in one go so it didn't hurt that much the fact of having lost my precious and not much time.

Mentally not okay anymore
I was warned that this would break me, and it did. I do get why people tend to give this a lower rate, due to the fact that it felt really rushed. The series is 8 episodes of just about 10 minutes and i watched it all in one sitting. If they gave me an 8 hour long series about this drama, i would still love it with all my heart.Im not really a big fan of sad endings, mostly because i want myself to maintain happy, but i think this story needed a sad ending. It was pretty obvious that one of them had to die. Min Hyun would not survive if Jun Ho decided to drink his blood. Although i think it would have been a beautiful ending if Jun Ho decided to drink Min Hyun's blood and Min Hyun survived, leading to the fact that they were now both human and could live together and have a happy ending, i think it would have been way to cliche. So thanks so much to the writer for me being able to still love a sad ending story.

The ending surprised me
I don’t even know what I liked about it. There was a lot of things I didn’t like, I can tell you that, but I am finding it hard pointing out what I liked. The music was nice. The basic plot was interesting, but the execution was not good. The production value and acting were not the worst I have seen, but they weren’t amazing either. As I said, the plot had potential. But they didn’t really develop the characters enough, both the main two characters and the side characters. There was a lot going on that either didn’t make sense, was not properly addressed or it was just added in without any explanation. The flashback being shown a few times was unnecessary, especially for such a short series.
Kim Jun Ho & Choi Min Hyun: one is a vampire who is dying for killing a human, and the other is a human with pure blood that can turn a vampire into human. Jun Ho is someone we are supposed to feel sympathetic towards, but I found him very unlikeable most of the time. He had some good sides, but he was very hot and cold towards Min Hyun. I also hated how he strung Hae Soo along for hundreds of years. Min Hyun was sweet, but extremely naïve and with no regard for his own safety. Even after knowing the truth, knowing everything, he would still do whatever he felt like doing. I can understand why his brother wanted to know where he is 24/7.
The ending was not what I expected. And I really liked it, it made a lot of sense due to everything that has happened both in the past and present. I do wish it would have been done a bit differently, but I am not going to complain too much about that.

I wasn't prepared..
Normally, I will look at reviews before watching a series, not necessarily to get spoilers but I do want to mentally prepare myself if a show will have a happy or sad ending. And, well, I didn't do that here and I'm kind of regretting it.Overall, it was a beautiful story about the struggle between self preservation and self sacrifice. At first, Jin Ho is all about self preservation and willing to trick Min Hyun into feeling for him in order to turn human. Then, as Jin Ho himself starts to catch feelings, he questions whether his "life" is worth the risk to Min Hyun's life. Meanwhile, Min Hyun struggles with the idea of losing Jin Ho and is willing to take the risk to try and help him with little regard to his own safety.
It may be a short series but it is filled with deep themes and potent emotions that leave the viewer wanting more. That being said, I wish the ending had been a bit different but I sort of see what they were going for. But it doesn't make for a high re-watch value for me, unfortunately.

Decent, for what it has
I was looking for some short series to fill some time and discovered this little show hidden away in the corners of someone’s favourites list. It’s a short show and I feel like the vampire lore/history isn’t very fleshed out, and the effects aren’t very good, but it’s still a nice wee show. The actors were actually really decent, and I didn’t mind the extremely rushed relationships because the actors managed to pull it off. It even has it’s own ‘Goblin’ moment that was devastating.
I think if this show was full length and not just ten minutes per episode (you can binge the whole series in an hour and a half) it would have been so much better; however, I do believe it does its job in being a neat mini series.

Time too short and plot inconsistent and confused!!
I think this series it started bad and it ended worst!! And i tell you why is like this: when first i read the plot on a website, my expectations were high, but then when i started them became low and in the beginning i thought i could give it a chance, probably it's only the first episode and usually it's not very good sometimes; but every time for me it was like a torture!!But the fault it's not for the actors, but the plot's inexistence!!
And whenever i watched the new episode i felt losted because they added random and useless characters and the time per each episode was too short to make a good storyline.
Eleven minutes per episode is too short for explain new things or adding new characters .

This show was hilariously bad
As other people stated, the characters were all dumb. Another thing, this show was just way too melodramatic. It was so cringy. That's the only reason why I would recommend this show so that you can laugh at the theatrics.Because the show was so short, the couple wasn't really something you can ship that much. Like I couldn't believe they "loved" each other, but at least I could feel chemistry.
The worst thing about this show was the ending, lmaoooooooooo it was so bad. Like the plot had potential but they did so bad.
I think the show tried to pull people in with spicy scenes, but it's Korea, those scenes were barely anything. So overall the show wasn't that good and was a waste of time. At least the actors were adorable.

An Unexpected Ending
This series consists of eight 10-minute episodes, totaling only 80 minutes. However, considering it as an 80-minute movie, the screenplay could have been much better.First of all, the screenplay was terrible. We never understand why the two characters fall in love so deeply. What was the reason for abandoning a 500-year life just to protect someone? There are also many gaps and lack of explanations throughout the story. The true identity of the university president is unclear. We don’t understand why the brother immediately recognizes the vampire and why Minhyung tells him, “You are a pure human.” The brother’s existence is puzzling and seems unnecessary. Despite his overprotectiveness, he continues to let his brother attend university even after realizing his life is threatened by a vampire. If I were in his shoes, I would have had him take a leave of absence or drop out of university.
Although I generally prefer happy endings, I liked that this series didn’t end happily. I thought that in the final scene, something miraculous would happen, and Minhyung wouldn’t die, leading to a happy ending for both characters. However, that didn't happen. It was a sad but satisfying ending, and I really appreciated that.

A happy ending would've gotten an 8/10
but here we are. I have a real talent for picking BL's, blindly, that has a main character die in the last episode! The acting is good and the actors are handsome! The plot gets a 7.5 since the ending is sad. Like most K-BL's it suffers from one thing: too much plot and not enough screen time. I'm not sure where this issue originates, but it's so common I don't put all of the blame on the show if they do a good job with what they're given. By all accounts I think this show succeeded given the time allotment.
However, since this ending is sad I'm GLAD I didn't get more time to get attached to the characters since I hate a sad or unclear ending. 😭
I think it's worth watching once. Not the worst thing I've ever watched by far. It was something different and interesting!
