Short, Simple & Sweet
I normally love hard-pacing series, even when this wasn't one, I really liked it.It's short, sweet, cute and in a way calming, like most soft-pacing Asian BLs are.
Things that I liked
* Actor's cuteness
* Calming nature of the series
* Background Music
* Story covered up nicely in the mini-series
* Realistic nature of the series in some places
Scope of Improvement
* Showing side characters' story
The best part about the series was that they released all the episodes in a single go.

It was so cute
This is definitely the most beautiful bl I've ever seen, I thought it was good because it was very calm. In itself, the two had a very nice story, how the two dealt with each other was very touching. i liked cha si won's background story very much. Also i found da un's voice very deep and it suited his character and charisma very well. The scenes between the two were incredibly cute, I was blown away all the time.I think the story was a bit confused on the beginning but at the and I understood all and it becomes clear in my mind. The acting was pretty good and the music was perfect and fits too the scenes.

Love can bloom even amidst the most turbulent of times
Blueming is definitely one of the better South Korean BLs I’ve seen.The beauty of Blueming is in how it offers astute observations on the relationship between identity and insecurity. It is an honest glimpse into how someone hopes to be seen, liked and validated by revealing the inner workings of an overthinker’s mind – every interaction and conversation stripped down, replayed and analysed.
Si-Won, as someone who cares way too much about what other people think, is a highly relatable character.
Then there’s Da-Woon, the “perfect” kid who is far more self-assured in comparison. With Da-Woon, Si-Won learns that he does not need to be somebody else. He is loved for who he is. Warts and all.
A tender and heartwarming look into how intimacy is built, Blueming shows how love can bloom even amidst the most turbulent of times. It explores the delicate interplay of friendship, romance, family and personal achievement, without trying to cram too much into 10 episodes.

Deeper than it looks
I binge watched this beautiful drama in one day. It absorbed me very easily. The directing was amazing (what to expect from the same person that was behind "Where your eyes linger" and "To my star"? Nothing but great results. If you haven't watched these two titles, well, do it!)The mood was always accompanied by great music, which helped me immerse emotionally. This last thing was what probably stunned me most. Music and framing are just so good, I can't stress this enough with words. Coming myself from cinema studies I can't help but notice such technical details and I think everyone can feel it anyway. The use of lights and the way it's shot is just very good too and somehow adds a personal point of view in each scene. Like the use of close-ups in the most intimate scenes or the most touching ones.
Anyway, I was just very into the story and the mood in general, like I was totally pulled into their world. And that's great because, honestly, I don't see many dramas/series that are capable of doing this. This is just my personal opinion, of course, but I think that they were able to show us how to give a short series the right feeling and how it's possible to follow the right pacing of a story. It was insane to me how they managed to not rush it at all, even though each episode was quite short (but full of events and emotions). The managing of time and narration was very good.
Another great thing about Blueming is the depth of the characters. From my point of view even the most secondary character, even the ones we see interact with the main leads like only twice, have some sort of aura. You just can tell they are something more, that they're not "empty" and part of the environment, but just by a few interactions and details (even aesthetical) you can clearly feel they're people. They feel real. I also noticed throughout the viewing that, especially the main characters (so the mother and sister too) give the feeling of having a rich personality, of not showing us their whole selves. Especially Da Un: he doesn't speak much, but everything he says has depth and that gives us the feeling that there would be so much more to know about him.
The story was great, finally a serious story that can concentrare both on young love and family issues or traumas, bullying and more. The part where Si Won cries with the mother was just wonderful.
So, finally, my point is that this drama deserves attention. It's very good, maybe even something a bit new that can give us a point of view that, in my opinion, can stand out in the whole drama panorama. I think we all can easily empathize with Si Won and each worry that young people might face.

Surprisingly perfect
I wasn’t expecting much from this drama when I read the synopsis, thinking it would just be a typical college enemies to lovers jealousy trope with no real feelings or plot. I WAS WRONG! The storyline was so much better than I could have imagined. Showcasing real fears and insecurities we all face, especially whilst growing up. The main couple coming together felt raw and authentic, no forced drama or unrealistic sudden feelings. They had their issues but worked to resolve the problems within themselves before thrusting their issues onto each other. The character and relationship development was perfect. I usually would say I wish the drama was longer and whilst I’d love to see more of this couple and their romance I honestly feel like the drama ended at the perfect moment. Hands down one of the best dramas I’ve seen in a long time and all done within 3 hours of content.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

It's such a short story but nothing really falls short
I have to say that I was skeptical at first when I watched the first episode, since it was just about 11 minute long. But turns out that 11 minute was worth every second and I was immediately glued to the series. It was short, but satisfyingly sufficient. Nothing really feels off, although it was not a huge blockbuster.The plot was simple yet complete. The story was there although it didn't even have to dwell so much in the lqbtq+ world. It was just telling a story of how two person eventually fall in love with each other. Unlike other bl series I have seen, this series focuses more in depth on the back story of the main character and the complexity of his family. It didn't really focus on explicit intimacy but oddly enough, I find it very adequate.
The chemistry between the actors, including the supporting actors, were splendid too. Not only Si-Won fell hard for Da-Won's innocent acting, but I too, found that I was caught in the same situation. It feels realistic to the point that I feel like this series must have adapted from a true story (yes, It's that good!).Supporting actors played their roles perfectly without making us viewers feel annoyed; it instead adds more value to the series. The things that were going on in the family feel real, the issues were well addressed too.
All in all, I enjoyed the series in every aspect; it's simplicity, great acting, back story and everything. I'd definitely recommend watching it as I too, would probably rewatch it soon :>

Best BL Hands Down
I thought Semantic Error wouldn't get any competition for my favorite BL, but Blueming has come as an unexpected and pleasant surprise. I loved the pacing of the drama, first time a short 11 episode drama feels complete and like the story was fleshed out in such little time. The ending wasn't rushed as it tends to happen for shorted bls, and the conflict resolution was incredible.I loved the heart of this drama. The main characters come from similar broken homes and find empathy and love in one another, which is rare when most dramas will use people's childhoods for why they act so horrible as adults. But this drama shows accountability, open communication and gives both parties the space to show their humanity. I absolutely love how this drama dealt with these two falling in love, so natural and beautiful.
If you're looking for something wholesome that feels like falling in love for the first time, I recommend this beautiful and heart-warming drama.

Blueming is a such an underated masterpiece
Just finished watching the drama. This drama is definitely going to my Comfort shows list. The actors are phenomenal, the story line is so beautiful and the the cinematography? The cinematography is out if this world. I felt so sad after finishing such a masterpiece that it had no good promotion, releasing all the episodes at once without proper exposure to the public was a big mistake. I wish they can save the last hope of it going viral as it deserves by promoting it so big and releasing it combined as a movie. It's the best KBL until now along with semantic error. I highly recommend it 💙Esta resenha foi útil para você?
HIGHLY SATISFACTORY SERIES! ???
Blueming listened! I'm highly satisfied!1. Because it's 11 episodes. To me the actors were not cut short on their roles and justice was served.
2. The storyline is so realistic and relatable. I don't want to give any spoilers!
3. The series is soooo nostalgic to me... Si-Won is so much like my friend. We are also a tug of war. I can see myself as Dang Won.. haaaays.. not rich though... 😊✌️✌️✌️... Same.thing.. we both love beach and went to a place together... I hope you are reading this Mark... Wherever you are... 🥺🥺🥺...
4. My heart cried a lot. There's a connection... Family, Dream, Love... Just felt really good! I don't mind if the musical scoring is quite okay... I just love it. Hope I can watch this with Mark in the future...
Thank you for this wonderful series...

I hold this movie close to my heart.
I initially started watching it because I was bored and looking for a quick, light hearted BL to watch. Let me tell you watch, I didn’t really vibe with Blueming on the first ep and considered dropping it on the second one, but my gut told me to keep watching it and good lord was it the best cinematic experience I could ever watch.I’m going to be completely honest, my high rating is a little bit biased and I’m aware of that, but if i was going to erase all my memories and watch it again I’d rate it like this.
I don’t think I could ever find a character I can relate to as much as Si-woon in my entire 21 years of breathing. We’re both the oldest in the family, both have divorced parents, both had to sit there and watch their parents fight everyday, both had to watch their moms suffer from their childhood to when they’re adults, both were isolated and bullied by people around them, and both of us also have similar traumas and hardships we’re facing (except my dad’s a billion times worse than his dad), even the relationship Si-woon had with his mom is similar to mine and my mom. Watching him throughout the entire movie felt like I was looking at a mirror, or that Si-woon was just me in another timeline (but as a guy, and instead of having a brother i have a sister).
I absolutely love and applaud how realistic this movie is, and it really really peaked for me when Si-woon’s mom watched his movie. I fully expected a touching scene where his mom would come to him and say “I’m sorry, I didn’t know you felt like this your entire life,” and their family issues would be perfectly fixed. I was confident with my plot predicting skills when I’ve already watched so many movies my entire life, instead it went completely different from what I’d laid out in my head. Episode 10 was truly the most impactful episode for me, absolutely peak. I could feel every word they say with my body, like I was in the room with the characters. It’s scary how the ego could so firmly prevent one from admitting their own mistakes and acknowledge the fact that other people also go through just as much pain and suffering as you do, doesn’t matter if it’s more or less, pain is different for every person. Crazy thing is I also went through the exact same thing with my mom like what happened in this episode recently, which made this episode even more emotional and endearing to me.
And I guess because of how much I could see myself in the main character, I have an even stronger connection with this film, I spent every second of my days analyzing the film, from the scenery, the colors, the micro expressions of the actors, the music, everything. This film doesn’t just tell a generic, typical college love story, it also talks about grown adults still dealing with childhood traumas, how parental issues, living in a problematic home, peer pressure and bullying can deeply affect a person from childhood to adulthood. It shows us how the characters grow, how they learn to be more honest and confident in themselves, how they healed their traumas, comfort their inner child and filled each of their empty spaces with love and compassion. It’s something I’ve been trying to do for myself for a while.
I genuinely just want to give a big big hug to the director and the scrip writers, the original author and everyone who worked so hard on this movie. It’s definitely one of the best few kdramas I’ve watched for the past 5 years, and I don’t even want to call it a BL drama because it’s way more than just “BL”. I’m so glad I watched this show and I’ve finally found a movie that can top Semantic Error. This will forever be my comfort show for the rest of my life and I’m gonna be patiently waiting for season 2 now!!

tasteless, I'm sorry...

A truly diva!!!
