I think reading the reviews before watching greatly impacted my enjoyment of this season Most of the reviews I read were negative, so I had really low expectations and honestly it was better than I thought it was going to be. But I do think I would have been greatly disappointed if I would have gone into this with normal expectations so I don't know how accurate my own review really is to be honest.

The biggest thing. I loved about season 1 was essentially absent in season 2. Last season, there was so much content where Tharn and Type basically just couldn't keep their hands to themselves, and I really really loved that. But they spent a lot of this season apart for one reason or another, and it didn't leave a lot of room for them to have cute moments together like I was hoping to see more of.

As far as the plot goes, I absolutely find it believable that Tharn and Type would have these kind of problems, but I don't know that it's believable it would happen after being together for 7 years. And while I enjoyed the angst those problems brought along, I don't feel like the problems were handled properly. They kind of just get glossed over when I think there should have been a bigger conversation between the two. And while there were a couple scenes I'm sure I'll want to revisit, I can't see myself rewatching the whole season ever again (unlike season 1 that I've already rewatched a few episodes of).

Despite all those complaints, I did enjoy watching this season. It was just much different than what I thought it was going to be.

Better than season 1 in a few aspects, except there’s no plot

I find it hard to review and evaluate this series, because, if in one hand it did not drive me crazy like Tharntype, on the other it’s almost clickbait to call it Tharntype 2. Yes, we get Tharn and Type together, but it’s not like they really had something to do for most of the show, specially Tharn. This show almost feels like a series made just to introduce new couples that can get their own series later on, like it happened with LeoFiat and Don’t Say No.

I think it’s VERY unlikely that Than and Type haven’t fought because of jealousy over their years between the Season 1 Special and Season 2. But the fact that both of them jump to “he’s cheating” in a heartbeat show that there’re older but not necessarily more mature. I expected this a bit more from Type, if I’m being honest. But this is a BL season 2, so it’s obvious that the one messing up would be the “good guy” from the original season (see TWM 2 and IPYTM).

It’s interesting because when Type saw Tharn kissing two of his exes it was as if he was being unreasonable for getting furious. But when Tharn see’s Type kissing and then pushing someone they’ve known had a crush on Type, it’s a huge problem and there’s definitely cheating. Yes, there were a few weird things (the pics, the pen, the kissing), but Tharn really did not trust Type not did he wait to hear the explanation. I also don’t think Tharn’s apology was sufficient. He half apologized half blamed Type for letting his guard down and getting kissed. Are we blaming the victim for being harassed and stalked now?!

I liked Khunpol and older Thanya because both had things to do and helped the TharnType plot. No was a bit same note throughout the season, but he’s the comic relief, so I didn’t expect more. Thorn is there just to get married and create the marriage conflict between TharnType and Klui serves not purpose at all. Champ unfortunately was a let down for me, since he was one of my favorites in season 1, but so dull here.

I didn’t love any of the side characters, but if I had to choose a favorite it would be Phu and Cirrus. Phu annoyed me a bit at first, since his the classic stereotype of the Disney pjs wearing BL character. I expected a bit more development on the Doc and No story, but they were cute together. LeoFiat has potential, since they got their own series, but I didn’t particularly like or root for them.

Overall, this was a WAY less problematic season, but the story was lacking essence.

PS: The special makeup for monk Type looked really bad.

Episodic Review

Don't ask me why I'm putting myself through another season of this show because I don't know either.

Ep 1: 8/10, pretty good start for Tharntype. I have no idea who the random highschoolers are (correction after watching ep 2: they're college guys actually)
Ep 2: 8/10, TECHNO HAS A MAN?!?! Techno, the straightest straight guy in that group, has a man?! Σ (゚□゚) I cannot believe, they can't just drop this bomb on me and dip, I need to know who!!!
Also am I the only one who feels the introductions of the side couples is awkward in this show? It's like they jump to the couple first, then do the introductions after. Half the time I don't even know who I'm watching and it's really confusing
Ep 3: 5/10, Fiat is absolutely insufferable. I also don't like how this show creates conflicts out of thin air like that misunderstanding scene was so unnecessary and could've easily been prevented
Ep 4: 7/10 I truly cannot stand Fiat, don't know what Leo sees in him. Also, does anyone else think Fiat has an uncanny resemblance with NCT's Mark? Every time he comes up I just see Mark so that's his only saving grace lol
I still love Techno!! We need to know who his partner is, why're they keeping us in the dark T^T
I love Doc x Champ, healthiest relationship in the show, but the secondhand embarrassment is so real with doc >~<
Ep 5: 8/10 Tankhun is iconic in whatever series he's in
I might just have to take the most wholesome relationship title from Champxdoc to CirxPhugun they're so lovable T^T
Ep 6: 7/10 With each episode I somehow dislike Fiat even more, Leo deserves so much better
Ep 7: 8/10, Techno is so obnoxious and annoying but I still love him lol
Ep 8: 9/10 That scene with Type feeling for the baby's kick is the most precious thing oml made my whole day T^T That was so important, thank you for your service <3
I'm so disappointed that Leo enables Fiat :( :/
Ep 9: 7/10, Fiat is bad but Leo is no better tbh, they're both terrible and deserve each other. How could they abandon Type in that situation?! So irresponsible and selfish ong
Ep 10: 2/10, Fiat's character is absolutely maddening and Leo is just as bad. I don't blame him for having feeling for Type, no one can control their emotions. But what he can control is whether or not he acts on those feelings, and he made the choice to be a homewrecker and terrible person. I will never pity him even if everyone in the show does.
If only they invested the screen time they wasted on LeoxFiat on actually worthwhile & healthy couples like CirxPhugun and ChampxKhunpol instead :( Would've been so much better. I will unapologetically skip every scene that focuses on LeoxFiat lol
Ep 11: 6/10, Tharn & Type teaming up to make fun of Type's dad was the highlight of this episode xD
Ep 12: 9/10, Not them using Thanya as a strategy to gaslight Type's father into accepting Tharn XD Genius plan tbh
I never thought I'd witness monkhood in a bl but I'm here for it
Type in the beanie was so cute T^T
I love that Thorn's story also gets appreciation, one thing I appreciate about this series is that the side characters have actual importance <3 Congrats Thorn you deserve it!!

Sequells and Explaining

I think this was a good series and for the people complaining the lack of Leos and Fiats story and backround showed here its because they were going to get a sequell called "the secret love" and "dont say no (DSN)" i personally love that so many series are connected here and have their own sequell.
People complaining about TharnTypes relationship and lack of matureness is kinda correct. Types character is a person who boils easily, but remember how he snapped at everyone at s1 and it was well done for him to endure the work. Tharn is good at his work and doesnt have much problems with work. Tharn sulks a little more than needed but gives up after Type talks some sense into him. While i agree that the first 9 episodes were pretty much empty i still enjoyed it. Even after 7 years relationships can have ups and down and tharntypes is really a rollercoaster of emotions. CirPhu couple is the most cringy, Cir gets upset and sulks too much but the gives up after Phu uses some of his "cuteness". Champ and Khunpols story needs a sequell!

Cute moments of grown up TT

If you ignore the flaming pile of hot mess that was Leo and Fiat, the first 10 episodes of this show are good. I still dont know why they chose to pretend seven years had passed, it would have been the exact same story if it was their first year out of college, but whatever. The job problems and non-school settings mixed with coming home and cuddling with each other for ten episodes was adorable.

Then the end just... was weird. The monk thing came completely out of nowhere. Then I was so looking forward to their post-monk reunion but it was a giant flop. Thorn met Tharn and gave him a hint that Type was back early, so I was all excited that Type was going to propose back with all of Tharn's family there and it would be this huge surprise... but then he was just standing there. In the kitchen. And was all, "why are you so surprised I'm here???" Because you came back a week early?! Why did you even bother? Why did Thorn know bit not Tharn? What was the point?

The Champ and Doc side plot was cute, but Techno was robbed of having a romantic relationship with someone. Anyone. I would have loved that. But Champ is an Aro/Ace king and it would have been cute to see him explain more than just standing there like a dummy when Doc confessed.

I completely forgot that the cousin and his boyfriend across the hall were in the show. They were boring and a little creepy. Maybe don't wear children's pajamas while having sex?

And what about Klui and Seo?? They were there for a second and then very much gone. Imagine if there was no Leo and Fiat, cousin and boyfriend, and instead we had ChampDoc, TechnoAnyone and a more developed KluiSeo side story. That would be so much better.

Also, this comoetely doesn’t matter but I hate Tharn's hair in season one, but liked Type's. And I hated Type's hair in season two, but liked Tharn's. Seriously, though, what was Type's hair doing this entire season? It never moved. It was so weirdly voluminous. It looked like he was hiding a bowling ball in it.

That's it. That's the review.

Let's start from season one. I have come across an abundance of comments saying that their relationship was very toxic. How does it feel for a man, who liked women for his whole life to generate feelings for another man? On the one hand Type really cared about what people would think of him if they knew about it, but on the other hand he couldn't hide his feelings anymore, especially when he tried to hook up with a woman and understood that it was already impossible for him to get Tharn out of his head. When their relationship started he became very possessive of Tharn, and I think that it would be the same way if his partner was not a man, cause that ownership syndrome was in his blood...The only way out was just going public and letting everybody know that Tharn was taken but he was not ready for it. I think, that he needed time for it, although we come across the same thing in the second season. But the case was different.

We can notice his character development especially when he punches Tharn's ex and tells him that Tharn is HIS man. And in the last episode when he holds Tharns hand in public. Imagine yourself being a man with the conviction that you hate gays and experiencing feelings for a man, who doesn't see anything bad in introducing his lover to his family, going public and living together as a normal couple. Tharn gave time to Type and he realized how intricate it was.

I have seen comments about Tharn being addicted to sex and that was the only thing he cared about...I don't think so. I can't forget the scene when he told Type to eat..."I don't care if you hate me or not, just eat"...He was not careless. I consider it not as an addiction, but a love language. It's just my opinion, I loved the series.

Btw, there are plenty of contradictions in my head concerning the second season. They have been together for 7 years. Type still doesn't want to go public, although their close friends know about them, meanwhile Tharn already thinks about marriage. But we can notice some real changes in Types atitude. In the first season when he knew about his best friend being gay he was confused and couldn't admit it, but now (to be honest, it was really unexpectable to see all of them being gay, in all of a sudden No has got a boyfriend!). Type is a hair-trigger and hot-headed by nature, but he is trying to cope with his anger issues. He contends with them every time his shit-head superior taunts him for no reason at all (I don't think that he was so in love with the nurse though, it was personal, he didn't like Type). The thing is that some of us really like talking out on our beloved ones, and thats what happened to Type (don't tell me you havnen't done that). These things don't strike me as plot holes, I see them as parts of our lives, cause that's what happens when you're overwhelmed and have no time for simmering down. He didn't want to bother Tharn with his problems seeing him being happy with his friends and was looking for someone to talk to. But deep down he wanted Tharn to be that one, because he was the closest to him. He didn't want to upset Tharn with his problems, and it's important to understand that our parntners are not there only when we are happy. Sorrow and anxiety are also to be shared with them.

Some of the commentators say, that Tharn insisted on getting marriend iexorably, but I saw him doing that 2 times only. I pity him, because he noticed the hardships Type was going through and tried to hold himself back and the story with that repulsive girl pestering Tharn, then Fiat who thought that if they were not married so he could make Type want him...Everything was for Type to realize the importance of marriage, and I don't think that Tharn made him agree by being so relentless. I reckon that he came to that conclusion himself.

About the side couples...They were not irrelevant to me. Cin and Phu were the ones who looked up to TharnType, Fiat and Leo were getting on my nerves in the begining, but now I am determined to watch "Don't say no" which is about them. Also, after Champ rejected one of his friends in the first season, I really wondered what would happen to him, so his storyline with Doc was really germane.

The lack of communication and mistrust between the couple was unbearable to me: the latter resulted in the former. They are the most common hindrances that can stand on our way, and fortunately they found the way to deal with it and didn't give up on their love. And what really got me is Type saying "it's only 7 years", while other people kept saying that 7 years are really a lot. He had not had enough of Tharn and I don't think he ever will.

The series is worth watching to understand the nature of impediments that may appear on our ways in adulthood. 8.5/10 for the cringy moments I had to go through, haha.

After 7 years together...

Let's be honest, the review I see on here is just not it...

So here we see what couples struggle with after being together so long. They were always in a toxic type of love, but this showed how misunderstandings, lack of communication and trust, and insecurities can get in the way of relationships. I don't know what anyone else expected, but based on the Prequel, I loved this more. It was raw and showed how messy relationships can be, and how others' opinions can dissuade you from being selfish about your happiness. I would have loved it more if the character development was there, but there was none, and that's okay too. We shouldn't change something that's working well for no reason.

How to understand each other in their relationship.

The story was super and acting of main couple was awesome. I loved this series, it tell that how to understand each other in fresh or long relationship, when the misunderstanding occurs and don't forget the time they spent each other.
Actually I loved the scene between type and his boss who criticize his boyfriend tharn and type give him big punch for criticizing tharn.
Their possessiveness also picks. When tharn get a message from girl, type went to get down the girl feelings on tharn. He tells her "HE IS MY MAN" wow it was awesome.
Overall it was a great series and also techno acting super.

still beefing 7 years later

My episode average was an 8.1, so I rounded down because this was mid, so very mid. Nothing really happened. This was light work and easy watching, so I will give them that, but nothing actually happened. They were still doing the same stuff they were doing at the start of their relationship. Nothing special. Okay, I am going to just talk about the couples because I didn't really post anything about this on my close friend's story, because the show sucked lol.

Starting off with Tharn and Type because the show is named after them and they are the first actors that come up on the cast and credits, Nothing special. They are still getting into the same nasty fights they got into when they first got together. No one has any character development whatsoever. They had a few banging sex scenes, so they still have their chemistry, or whatever it is. Tharn was a lot more clingy in this. Like he would pout and sulk when he didn't get his way. I noticed that; that was his character development, I guess. Type was really getting into his wife's era. Tharn was just talking about how he could quit his job and he would take care of him. and Type was like say less bro. He cooks, cleans, does laundry, irons the clothes, basically does everything for Tharn. That was his character development. He sucks at showing his emotions, so he shows his love with chores and stuff like that. So I guess that's sort of cute. And I thought I was done with this stupid show, but nope, I have to watch them get married in a separate episode. My lord, okay, next couple.

Leo and Fiat Their presence in this makes me miss dont say no. It was my first BL drama in my most recent era of boys love dramas. It really got me back into it, and seeing them in this made me miss it so much. Fuck, I forgot how much of a homewrecking little whore Fiat used to be. He got on my fucking nerves with this. Poor Leo, bro. He's always loved him; I remember that, and that really stuck with me. He just watched his crush be with every single man in the world before he even looked at him. I don't remember (probably because I watched Don't Say No on Billi Billi back when it was still available in America, lol) Leo being this aggressive and dominating. I just love it so much. He was very handsy, and most of the time he stepped back from Fiat's love life, but his getting pissed off and yelling at Fiat was, my god, very sexy. I miss them for real for real. They are so fucking cute, and I love them so much. Besides Fiat's little homewrecker era, that was gross.

Next up are Champ and Dr. Khunpol, or Doc or Khunpol in the streets. They were cute, and I liked them. This show was collecting tropes like they were Pokemon with these couples. Doc had liked Champ since freshman year but had to keep his feelings to himself because he didn't want to end their friendship, which was cute. Doc is actually such a cutie; my god, he was adorable. I'm kind of mad at their ending, but whatever. They could have had so much more potential, but that was never reached, sadly. They were still really cute, and Champ's willingness to understand love just for Doc was really cute. Loved them.

And our last actually relevant couple is Phugun and Cirrus, or Cir, in the streets and the sheets. They were my favorite couple, and I still don't know why. I just loved their dynamic so much and fell in love with them instantly. Phugun was the cousin that they never talked about in tharn type or probably did, and I just was not listening at all because I am really bad at that. Phugun was the cousin of the Th family (th because all of the kids names start with th, lol). He was so adorable, my god. so innocent and just wants to love everyone. Their sex scene was good, bro. The way Phugun was talking to Cir was crazy, bro. That scene kind of told me that appearance is a front to get what he wants, and I really respect that. Cir was your average jealous boyfriend, who just kind of stood back and loved his boyfriend in the midst of the chaos that was unfolding next door. They were cute. My favorite couple If I was going to watch back, it would be their sex scene, lol. That was good. The sexuality of the whole thing was just amazing and lovely. I am actually going to go find it right now lol.

Yeah, that's about it. This is skippable because nothing actually happened. It didn't ruin the ship per se; it was just not necessary at all because nothing happened. The creators just tried to milk a really popular ship, and it didn't work. Now I have to watch another episode just to see these bozos get married. After that, I am done with Tharntype for good. I don't know what the goofy ass parent story is, but fuck that. This was a light watch, and it's still the same Tharn and type. Okay bye!

It’s not bad?..it could’ve been better

I don’t normally write reviews but there’s a few things I want to say. The show isn’t bad but neither is it good, though I hardly remember what happens in most of the episodes even after I just finished watching them. (Imma include stuff from BOTH seasons as everything was a blur and I don’t really remember what stuff happened in which season. Also the events of stuff I’ll be talking about aren’t in order so keep in mind. imma just say stuff that I first think of)

I liked the obviously flawed characters
Tharn, jealousy possessiveness,
Type, jealousy, possessiveness, impulsive, self centered
Minor/side characters: Techno(nosy),Champ(dense), Type’s father and boss, Tar, Lhong , that dude that was roommates with the one K-pop dude, Fiat, and Leo. (Got lazy writing the reasons lol)

Me rambling :) :
I LOVE TECHNO, quite literally all I can say.
Champ and the doc (Kinda forgot his name) They were honestly so cute together and individually.
Champs desire for food (so real) and the doc helping Type with his boss THANKK YOUUU FOR HELPING MY SANITY, I could not with that boss.
The other couple that was neighbors with the main couple AAAAA they were so cute

The story:

The plot and storyline was lowkey going no where but hey it was a ride.
If you like to watch toxic couples fighting and not doing anything about it this is for you Ig

—- I really just disliked the random sexual assault in the beginning of Tharntype while Type was sleeping, and how Types trauma was shown and then just forgotten?… I also disliked how he just suddenly wanted to sleep with Tharn, and at some moments it was too slow paced and fast paced so I don’t even know if there was a time skip or what.

Also the random ass kidnapping of Fiat???? LMAO what was that about, also when Tharn OBVIOUSLY saw Fiat be the one to kiss Type and Type pushed him away and when he was talking his response to it is “Well the Type I know never puts his guard down”???? Like I agree with type when he said something along the lines of why would I wait to cheat seven years later, but at the same time there’s many relationships where even after 20 years people can fall out of love.

The lack of trust in this relationship is insane and while I was reading other peoples reviews I didnt even realize how toxic there relationship truly was (their relationship is similar to my parents (fighting and arguing over stupid shit)? ) so I only picked up on some of the toxic traits without realizing there’s far more.
Lhong pissed me off so much after figuring out what he was doing but honestly thats the only real emotion I felt throughout this entire show
Also why was Lhong arrested when they LITERALLY have evidence of his doing??

Also are they in college or highschool I was never able to tell until Tar was said to be a FRESHMAN IN HIGHSCHOOL????? So I was so confused because I was thinking it was college

Homestly theyre both toxic but type is more toxic in a direct way while tharn is indirectly

The way type knew Tharn is literally GAY and instead of type being mature and leaving the message be (or even checking his phone in general) he confronted her and instead of Tharn getting mad with the lack of trust he thought it was cute???

and the amount of misogynistic comments that were made that also somewhat gave off “he cant be 100% gay” “he must still like women”
Also with types commenting about how he hates gays still but not Tharn like then doesn’t that mean you just hate people that just happened to be gay and not the actual gay people themselves? Unlesss he still has prejudice against gay people but it’s not as intense

I understood why type may not have wanted to get married, as Tharn said he looks tough on the outside but actually overthinks about what other people might or are saying, type also mentioned he doesnt like being in the center of attention (aka the gossip that was happening in the hospital), it shows his hotheadedness and his tendency to runnaway as well.
But Tharn seemed to get married because he wanted to show people that Tyle is in his possession and is his only, like calm your tits nobody is gonna steal your man lmao also when type said they could easily break up if something happened unlike if they were married shows the lack of commitment. Like it’s fine if you care about other people talking about you and boyfriend because both of y’all are men.

Honestly it was understandable why Type wanted to breakup with him because of the stress coming from Tharn exes but type calm yourself

Also maybe I have a tolerance for toxic bitches or something but it kinda makes sense when you see something that aligns with your insecurities and negative mindset you kind of blame everything on everyone else and lose hope for anything thats positive especially when youre hotheaded and/or have anger issues and youre with other people. All the logic in your head kinds disappears and you just act solely with emotions and say implusive shit.
Though this does not AT ALL justify acting like immature man children, step away for a moment and actually DEAL with the problem, I cannot comprehend how even after 7 years they cannot sit down and talk like acrual adults. They just forgive and have sex. Like wtf?
Forgiving each other for the same actions that keep on repeating itself instead of putting an end to the problem itself is so infuriating They seen to bottle things up instead of talking it out, which is understandable as there are relatonship problems and individual problems. Its understandable of you dont want to tell your problem to your psrtner because youre sure you can handle it without it affecting anything else. but in Type’s situation, he doesnt know how to maintain his emotions and handle them properly which leads him to have outbursts and throws tantrums. And you know who has to deal with it? Tharn for no reason at all, though, sometimes he does deserve to get yelled at. But Type obviously is not able to handle stress well, Im not saying you always need to have a straight face and a strong front, but this is when communcation comes in. I hate it when people ignore the issue or are like “oh well this is just how I am” no shit? But not everyone can endure your bullshit nor is it an excuse to keep living with the problem without trying to fix it because “thats just how you are”

And thank you for listening to my random compilation that I don’t think anyone understands neither do I can Idk what this turned into :D ? ???
