Thomas the Time Engine
First impressions are important and this one didn't have a good one. The drama really needed a better introduction for what they had, the first episode was just plain bad and it didn't serve its purpose. While I appreciate the shorter runtime of 12 episodes that OCN usually offers with their thrillers but even in this case some scenes and episodes were redundant. It didn't help its case repeating that one specific flashback of the night when male lead met Seo Kyung and lost his father about 20-30 times throughout the drama. The story had its usual plot holes just like most thriller/mystery of its kind but at least there wasn't anything outrageous. One more thing, it felt like it was the type of show that would benefit greatly from a custom made good OST.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

I watched several Korean dramas that involved some type of time travel and this was one of them.I couldn't decide what rating to give this after seeing the very last episode.
I love police dramas because of their chemistry but the chemistry in this one wasn't there. It was mainly about the main ML struggling with guilt in what he thought his father had committed. His goal was to make sure the victim whom he saw struggling to get along with life wouldn't get hurt anymore. Yep...it's about a girl...it always is.
I recognized the main ML from Psychopath's Diary. I really didn't care for him in that drama but I liked him in this one.
I just became somewhat disappointed by the last drama. I figured out who the main culprits were by the 5th episode and by the end it turned out that I was right. This was kind of disappointing because I was hoping I was wrong but I wasn't.
The origin of how the 'Train' came to be was never discussed. I wanted to know what it's purpose was. By the last episode to me, it just wasn't no point of why the 'Train' existed. It didn't have a proper ending for me. It just seemed that the way the people's lives were will always be in a loop.
It was a good watch but I kind of felt let down in the end.

Not a bad show but expected more
I started watching this drama cause the summary sounded very interesting, mixing mystery, fantasy anda thirller, genres I specially like. The first four episodes were very good and kept me hooked, though soon after the plot loses strength and gets boring. The world travelling itself is not the main topic till the very last ep, which disappointed me a little. In fact at the end there's a final plot twist I would have enjoyed way before in the show.
Of course the story of the main couple is interesting as well as the crime investigation.
Acting not bad but OST not remarkable.
In summary, not a bad show but I expected more.

What a ride!
I'll start by saying that alternate timelines/parallel universe stories always confuse me and give me a headache. Normally, I rate the dramas I watch strictly based on my enjoyment of them (so I can remember which shows I liked and why). So, for me, I can't say generically that I loved the show, but I HAD to give this rating because of the concept and for the acting. You have to admit, the idea of a serial murderer dumping bodies in an alternate timeline isn't something you see every day! This drama was full of twists and turns, and just when I ventured a guess as to who might be involved, I was proven wrong (multiple times). You know how sometimes you watch a drama, and someone is suspicious from the very beginning, whether they just act shifty, or the looks they give others, etc.? That is not the case in this drama. I continued to be surprised. I also liked how each person was different in the alternate world, sometimes just slightly, sometimes in big ways.
I am not going to single anyone out about their acting, because everyone was excellent, especially the ML. The way they wrote him, upstanding in one world, corrupt in the other, gave him the opportunity to shine as both. Then, the instances of them being together in one frame, in addition to slight physical differences, the mannerisms and behaviors were different. So, that also means that the antagonists did a great job as well.
I don't remember music, per se. I do remember thinking that it was doing a good job of kicking up the tension.
I won't rewatch this, since I know what happened.
For anyone that is curious, there is a slight romance. I'm a romance junkie and don't usually care for romances in any type of thriller, action drama. I thought it was handled excellently. It was VERY understated, and his lines when he was talking to the FL about the FL in the other world, wow, heartbreaking.
There is a happy ending, but I will say I'm confused about there being 2MLs in the same world at the end.
I can't believe it took me this long to watch Train. If you are considering it, I can highly recommend it.

When you think it's over, it's not
I think it is the right tagline for this drama. When you think you got the culprit, it was not the end. This drama is well written, although it involves story of two different world, the transition is clear and not confusing. What i like from kdrama nowadays is no character appearance being wasted. Everything is connected.
It was predictable at some point, but behind the predictable one is another unpredictable plot. That's why i said, when you think it's over, it is actually not. Like other drama, if you think they got the culprit at episode 9/12, there must be somehing unsolved over there.

"What if... we lived different lives with different relationships in another world?"
"Train" (2020) is a suspenseful thriller mystery drama with sci-fi elements. It is about traveling to another/parallel world to find a murderer, but it's much more than just that. The show tricks your mind to think and solve the puzzle of who the real killer is and who is controlling everything behind the scenes. It delves into the idea of consequences and how one can never escape their fate as it's inevitable. The story and cinematography are exceptionally good. Although there were very few soundtracks in the drama, I must say that the two main soundtracks were very mesmerizing. The phenomenal acting and the chemistry between the two leads will absolutely make you fall in love 💖 with this drama. The portrayal of various relationships between the characters in the drama is an essential element that adds depth and meaning to the story, making it more relatable and realistic.
However, there are a few cons to this drama. Firstly, the writing of a few characters and their acting could have been better. The acting of the chief, in particular, wasn't the best. Especially in the last few episodes it is very noticeable, but this is just my opinion, and others may not feel the same way. Additionally, even for a 12-episode drama, it could feel slow-paced at times.
Despite the few cons, this drama is very rewarding in the end. Overall, this show definitely deserves an 8/10, and I would highly recommend it to someone who is interested in suspenseful thriller shows with a hint of sci-fi.

Entertaining but full of plot holes
I literally made an account to post this reviewAlso may contain spoilers so avoid if havent watched already.
The theme of this drama was great. I love my investigation drama with a super natural twist and this had it.
Now for the things that bothered me are
1) How did the MLs father get framed without any investigation such as checking the victims fingernails for DNA. We clearly know the MLs dad is an alcoholic, therefore it doesnt make sense that he would wear gloves while committing murder. Thus his skin cells should be on the victims nails.
2) how did they get the jewelry pictures when it was stolen
3) Ms Oh's involvement was sooooo predictable. I wish k-dramas moved on from always making the higher-up a mastermind. ( i also suspected the dr from the beginning)
4) the Female lead was UTTERLY useless. If she knew she cannot defend herself, maybe dont throw yourself in dangerous situations just so someone jas to save you every single time ffs.
5) Why didnt the check the parallel universe mls mobile phone???
6) once they found out that the murderer has that rare disease (and its hereditary), anyones common sense would be to quickly check every patient living in the city. This would've saved so much time and energy. It would've also prevented the murderer from killing himself.
but nooo for the sake of mystery, we decided to play dumb.

I’m amazed
As expected from OCN it shows us one of the best thriller and mystery dramas. I'd like to praise the screenwriter at first, she did a super great work on this drama! the story, the characters, and the events all were just intriguing and perfect! She didn't get into side stories or putting scenes or information that are not important to fill the drama. The storyline was intense. This drama is just accurate, high-quality and well-executed , all the events are connected and relatively unexpected, the staff and the cast are all creative! Shi Yun, as usual, impressed me with his great acting in action scenes, crying, surprise in short all his scenes were just awesome and I could feel him and the fl Su Jin... I am speechless! It's the first time for me to watch a drama for her, but I'm a fan already.. and the crew....... I mean from the screenwriter to director until the camera man all did an excellent job! and for sure the amazing OST's both of them were very suitable for the scenes. The killing scenes were creepy!
Only one thing that really bothered me every time when some one is with the murder he/she gives his/her back to her/him! do woon did it and su kyung did it twice even Joon young did it I couldn't understand it's their job they're supposed to get used to these events so they're supposed to be more careful but still it's okay.
OCN never disappoint me!

At 12 episodes, this drama did not waste a minute or a scene. I do not understand though why this drama is too underrated. If people would give this a change they will find out how good of an actor is Yoon Shi Yoon and Kyung So Jin together. They depicted a couple who were separated by time and universe. I loved how intense the drama was in terms of plot and how accurate the OST is for each scene. This drama, despite introducing Do Wan's affection for Seo Kyung, wasn't romance centric. Their relationship subtly revolved around their affection for each other and the thought looming that it was doomed from the start.
I hope people get to give this a try because it was really good that with 12 episodes it made me want for more. The ending even hinted of a possible second season if given the chance.

Good storytelling
Series with a parallel global theme are often poorly made, and the path of the subconscious story is lost in the middle of the series. But in this drama, we see a good storytelling that encourages the viewer to look for answers to the questions and watch this series every minute.
There are good flashbacks in this series that gradually explain the story to the viewer, which is the power of storytelling.
Of course, there is a slight weakness in kcsi inspectors, because sometimes we see them incompletely inspected, and in the process of investigation, detectives in the area that has already been thoroughly examined, discover new evidence, which kcsi inspectors should have already noticed.
