ML is on my list of fave character!
Ghad! ML was so so so mwah! His character was so interesting. Like how he treats the situations and that phrase "I have a plan" shep! He has both sides which is why I freakin love his character. FL was not annoying. She understood the ML but still did not agree that he was right. Maybe not everyone likes that. That's why, some may not like it. Her resourcefulness and wit were underrated because of how she approached the situations but we can't deny that her wit saved them in things that were trivial and essential. I kinda like how compatible her attitude to the ML. AND DEFINITELY, how they handle each other! I was satisfied with how fast the pace was and it elaborated the topic like "After they fall in love, what's next?". The fast pace gave way to that plot and the confession was smooth... not much annoyance. For a light plot, I love this one. Smooth ride yet there's still a twist or thrill here and there.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
adorable bickering couple
i have watched many romance cdramas and this is one of the best. ML and FL are both gorgeous with great chemistry. the plot also has some mystery in it which i liked. the love between these two is very strong. There are some misunderstandings going on but nothing too heartbreaking. General is the epitomy of the perfect husband and Jin knows this very well. She is not a clueless FL and she goes for what she wants. i enjoyed Ceasar Wu 's acting the most, especially in the last episode. The begin and end soundtracks are both in my playlist, very sweet songs.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Cute Storyline
I've been waiting for this drama for a long time since last year, and it didn't disappoint me! I liked this drama since episode 1 started!I've seen storylines like in this drama many times, but because of the acting of the two main characters, as well as all the supporting cast members, I find this drama adorable! Before, I had never seen another drama by Caesar Wu and Tang Min, so I didn't expect much. They don't disappoint me, btw. Even though I've only watched episode 7, I already like this drama. I hope that as the number of episodes increases, the drama will get better.

I took a wrong turn..
From the first episode, I thought I was gonna watch a combination of a heroic actions of the ‘demonic’ general and his wife fighting whatever they will have to fight including internal intrigues in the royal family. Having that in mind, I was hooked up until episode 10, when I realized that the story has not yet gone very far. With all the characters, acting and the likely storyline going forward, I decided to drop it.For those seeking for a plain romance drama, this might be good one to watch. For an old timer wuxia fans like me, it’s a big no no.
Credit is for the theme song - it reminds me of those from the Legend of Yunxi and the Princess Agent. I also like Tang Min’s portrayal of her character - witty but elegant at the same time. The 10 scores are for the song writer and Tang Min.

Weak storyline with never-ending attempts to be funny.
MDL has always been my reference for C-Drama, I always visit to check the rating & reviews of the dramas which I plan to watch and most of the time the overall ratings are in-line with the reality.. Well, except for this one, which made me decide to create an account in MDL only for writing a review. The problem of this drama is not on the FL, she's just playing the role she's assigned to. There's no significance in the story, only unnecessary misunderstandings (without significant motives) which have been forced into the acts, the acting itself shows almost no emotions. There are a never-ending attempts to be funny but fail every time, they use these annoying background musics a lot trying to make the situation funny, for me that's really annoying these music keeps popping up in every casual scenes (non-serious) that makes it difficult to properly hear what they say.
If it's not funny, don't put those music to force it to look/feel funny, if it's really funny then it will be funny even better without those musics. If this mediocre story is served without those funny attempts maybe it still deserves 6 as the overall score.
The reason I didn't make an account for years while using MDL was because I believe the members here are better and more experienced in writing reviews, but thinking about it, that's very wrong because some people just put 10/10 for everything even when it's obvious not everything is 10/10 even if they liked the drama, that's the reason this one can receive 8.1 score when it's actually unbearable.
I won't drop it, not even skip it, because that's not how I watch movies. I'll finish this drama without even one sec skip, I promise I will change the score if it gets better to be fair, but I doubt it will.. Let's see then. If it stays the same then it means it only gets worse or it stays bad til the end.

Partially funny story with manipulative child women!
A woman writes this drama, and of course then a woman is always the better half in a story. Surprise! That's why I would like to see more dramas written by men, or mixed teams.Let's take an example: In F7 and F8, the FL provokes the ML with her flirting with Xiao Su, the emperor's spy. This Xiao puts himself over military orders in the military camp. Later he thinks he has uncovered a crime of the ML. Then he fights against ML's soldiers. All gripes in the toilet.
But FL defends Xiao and says to the horrified ML: "He (Xiao) is my man", nobody should touch him. This was almost a marriage vow in ancient China. The crowning glory was then the thing with the precious token. She looks like a lover and behaves like one at that moment. She doesn't need explanations.
Nevertheless, the ML has the ass card. He's stupid and of course got it all wrong. He has to take reproaches not only from the troublemaker Xiao Su. It needs an apology to the FL. And the tough soldier, this one-man slaughterhouse, has to give an embarrassing whimpering, screaming and crying performance. It sucks and is unbelievable! The following "resolution" then lacks any romance, one does not find redemption, but a formal explanatory text.
I cannot follow this: Why didn't FL have to justify her misunderstanding behavior to ML? Did she have a thing with Xiao? Didn't Xiao have to explain why he was spying? What is he doing in the camp anyway?
Overall, the story is riddled with little annoyances like this. But much of the rest is also very funny. And entertaining. Maybe just leave out the annoyances?
But the author sits at the longer writing instrument! And whether in China, or with us in the west, a woman writes of course annoyingly biased. Therefore: Goodbye and thanks for the fish!
