Sweet and Sour definitivamente me surpreendeu, de formas que eu não esperava. Se você, tanto quanto eu, adicionou esse filme a sua lista antes mesmo de ser lançando esperando uma doce comédia romântica que nos roubaria algumas risadas e sorrisos. Bem, cara amiga, nos deparamos com a dura realidade.O filme conta a história de um casal, o Jang-hyuk (Jang Ki Yong) e a Da-eun (Chae Soo bin), ela é uma enfermeira temporária que trabalha até altas horas num hospital, e ele é um engenheiro que acabou de ser contratado por uma empresa grande. Com essa contratação, começam a vir problemas para o casal, primeiro apresentado de uma maneira doce e gentil. Até mesmo a história dos tênis, guarde esse detalhe, que nos trará para um plot twist.
Tendo que ir á Seul para seu novo emprego, Jang-hyuk faz algumas mudanças, tanto que decide comprar um carro e alugar um apartamento na cidade. No seu primeiro dia de trabalho conhece a Bo-yeong (Krystal Jung), contratada no mesmo tempo que ele, e consequentemente sua parceira de equipe, consequentemente porque os dois no início se odiaram, logo foi criada uma rixa, já que os dois estavam tentando se sobressair mais que o outro.
Como em todo filme, a rixa não durou muito, já que ele logo começou a sentir pena da personagem e se alinhou com ela, ainda porque os dois faziam um trabalho ótimo juntos e eram parabenizados por isso. Mas ao mesmo tempo que isso acontecia, a relação de Jang hyuk e Da-eun desmoronava, o homem estava cada vez com menos tempo para a namorada passando noites em claro na escritório com Bo-yeong em ordem de terminarem seus projetos rápidos. Ele voltava a casa de Da-eun toda noite mas quando chegava estava exausto do trabalho e não conseguia dar atenção para a namorada.
Da-eun o pediu para trocar a lâmpada, mas Jang kyuk por estar exausto, como sempre, esqueceu e não trocou. Agora, vamos passar para a parte mais polêmica do filme, no filme temos um senhor que trabalha na mesma companhia de Jang hyuk, vamos chamá-lo de "B", já que eu não achei o nome dele no filme. O B sempre apagava as luzes no prédio, enquanto o Jang hyuk e a Bo-yeon estavam lá trabalhando no projeto, no primeiro momento, acho que todos pensamos que ele estava tentando juntar os dois, porém, depois por meio de algumas outras falas vemos, ele desligava as luzes para indicar que o expediente tinha acabado, sinalizando para o Jang hyuk ir para casa, voltar para a Da-eun. Depois ele também diz, "coma arroz, não hambúrguer", e numa das cenas seguintes ele aparece comendo hamburguer com a Bo-yeong. Meu chute é que esse B, representava a consciência de Jang hyuk que sabia que aquilo não era certo e que ele deveria voltar para casa, e trocar a maldita lâmpada.
E então Da-eun nos dá a notícia que está grávida, e o Jang hyuk como a maior parte do filme, não faz nada a respeito e apenas nos dá raiva e vontade de lhe meter um pouco de noção, ele não dá o mínimo de apoio á ela. E fica bravo por levar o lixo para fora, e então a Da-eun fala uma das coisas mais marcantes desse filme e mais condizentes com a realidade "Eu também estou cansada e quero dormir. Mas ainda sim quero passar tempo com você." (essa frase não foi a exata do filme mas esse foi o sentido). Mesmo ela também passando turnos gigantescos no hospital, e mesmo estando cansada e grávida, ela ainda queria passar tempo com o Jang hyuk, uma prova que mesmo com tudo, ela ainda amava ele.
Como um erro miserável, copiado diretamente de Friends, Jang hyuk chama Da-eun de Bo-yeong, ele fala "Minha linda Bo-yeong" para piorar. Seria melhor ter errado no casamento como o Ross, do que falar isso para sua namorada grávida. Claramente, eles tem uma briga enorme com Jang hyuk deixando Da-eun na porta de sua casa sozinha e indo embora, nos próximos takes somos sugeridos que Da-eun sofreu um abortou ou talvez abortou por decisão própria, isso percebemos quando ela volta a fumar.
Bem, para simplificar o resto, Da-yeong devolve o anel que Jang-Hyuk tinha dado a ela, eles ficam longe, ele dorme com a Bo-yeong, e ainda tem uma viagem de fim de ano que eles também tinha realizado no ano passado, e que Da-eun não cancelou, aí Jang hyuk recebe um tapa de realidade e vê que ama mesmo é a Da-eun, de um jeito bem escroto. Mas ela foi na viagem com outro, é aí que vem nosso plot twist.
As primeiras cenas do filme nos foram apresentadas como o passado dos dois, como Da-eun conhecendo Jang kyuk que na época era mais gordinho, eles se conhecem no hospital e acabam se apaixonando, ela o chama para a casa dela e as coisas vão evoluindo aos poucos, e então quase no fim do dito flashback, Da-eun dá um par de tênis a ele e então ele começa a correr e diz que vai emagrecer, então corta e mostra nosso Jang hyuk correndo com o par de tênis velhos e iguais aos dado a Lee Jang kyuk nos flashbacks. Porém descobrimos que ao invés de um par de tênis, existem dois. Enquanto Da-eun estava com Jang kyuk ela conheceu Lee Jang kyuk, internado no hospital com hepatite, do tipo não contagioso, ela estava grávida na época e bem emocional e por isso começou a se apoiar no Lee Jang kyuk como uma muleta, para seu relacionamento que não estava mais funcionando, e talvez pelos nomes parecidos ou pela gentileza que ela sentia falta, Da-young começou a se aproximar mais dele depois do término, e ele trocou a lâmpada.
As realidades de Jang hyuk e Lee jang hyuk batem literalmente de cara, quando os dois se esbarram no aeroporto onde Jang hyuk estava indo encontra a Da-eun e onde Lee Jang hyuk estava COM Da-eun, os dois caem e ela vai ajudá-los. Da-eun acaba indo embora sem falar com o Jang hyuk mas lhe dá um olhar, que deixa claro, que mesmo que ela não tenha o superado ainda, não vai voltar para ele. O que eu acho maravilhoso.
Então Jang hyuk surta, ele começa a se perguntar onde tudo deu errado, e começa a pensar em vários momentos sem conseguir entender, e acho que até o último minuto do filme ele não entende que não foi apenas um daqueles momentos, foram todos deles juntos. Ele volta até a Bo-yeong que está na festa de despedida do trabalho deles (suas ideias foram usadas e depois eles foram descartados) e diz que a ama e tenta dar o anel da Da-eun para ela. Mas ela diz que não pode aceitar, já que nesse momento ficou óbvio, ela só queria se divertir nada mais ela diz "Ainda não" e logo depois o filme acaba. Não sabemos o que aconteceu com esses dois, se eles ficaram juntos depois ou não.
Minha opinião é que não, eles terminaram separados e ele teve relação atrás de relação onde o mesmo acontecia. Agora vamos a frase de título, que foi dito pelo senhor B, é uma frase para se refletir sobre o filme, táxis passam todas as horas, mas pessoas, na hora que você perde uma, acabou.
Reflexões finais e minha opinião:
O filme tem quase duas horas de duração, o que durante vários momentos o torna demorado e entediante, durante vários momentos me peguei olhando quantos minutos demorariam para acabar. Sweet and sour mostra uma situação real, que é extremamente semelhante com os casais modernos da realidade. Conta uma história que já aconteceu muitas vezes, com várias pessoas diferentes. É um filme real, não-fantasioso, sem floreios que representa a realidade na sociedade que vivemos, não é um filme adolescente de romance o que pode decepcionar muitos, mas é um filme que surpreende por não ser o que esperavamos.

Deveria se chamar amor&furia
O drama mostra sem filtro a realidade do relacionamento e suas fases diárias com escala do doce ao amargo. O personagem Jang interpreta sem pudores um namorado dedicado que com tempo apronta tudo que foi possível até enfeitar a relação totalmente com sua até então namorada Daeun, que tem seus dilemas e frustrações no trabalho e no relacionamento.O relacionamento passa pelo período doce com toda a sorte abrasadora de paixão e com tempo aparece faltas de tempo, distância, muito trabalho e muito trabalho até mesmo outras pessoas, nessa fase entram os personagens Boyeong e alguém mais que fará corações frustrados encontrarem conforto momentâneo ou quem sabe para todo sempre!
Realmente em várias partes me vi passando as mesmas coisas ou lembrei de estórias vivenciadas pelas pessoas a minha volta, a forma que foi colocado até parece dar um lapso no tempo a ponto de querer imaginar se algo fosse feito diferente será que o fim seria também?!

Diacho de filme ruim da desgraça...
Sorry Soo Bin, mas não deu pra passar pano pra esse não... E vamos de sinopse pra você entender tudo.SPOILERS ALERT!
O filme começa com uma enfermeira se apaixonando por um paciente que é gordinho sabe. Tudo lindo e fofinho, do nada temos um salto temporal. E, ao que parece, o gordinho fez dieta e virou um galã agora metido que não come nada para não engordar. Ele é engenheiro ou arquiteto, ou sei lá. E consegue uma oferta de emprego bem melhor em uma empresa chiquérrima, porém em uma outra cidade. Ou seja, todos os dias ele teria que sair bem cedo e voltar bem tarde.
Ele chega lá na empresa e tem apenas uma colega de trabalho novata que vai trabalhar juntamente com ele. A jovem é muito bonita porém desajeitada como uma lesma: come e se suja toda. É uma doida sabe, e de cara, todo mundo percebe que ela tá interessada nele e ele se faz de doido desentendido (até o porteiro véi...). O que custava dizer que era comprometido não é?
Então, por causa do "trabalho", o namoro dele com a protagonista esfria, porque ele é um babaca e fica deixando ela de lado pra supostamente trabalhar (com a doida lá que não tem culpa, porque não sabe que ele é comprometido). Com tudo isso, a namorada real dele descobre que tá grávida... e é aí que minha revolta explode e eu explodo a "bagaça" desse dorama:
ELE SIMPLESMENTE DIZ PRA ELA ABORTAR O BEBÊ... ELA VAI E ABORTA PORQUE ELE DEU A ENTENDER QUE IA CUIDAR DELA. MAS NÃO! COM UM TEMPO DEPOIS ELE TERMINA O NAMORO E ELA FICA SOFRENDO PORQUE DESISTIU DO BEBÊ DELA!
O drama termina como... na verdade esse babaca não era o gordinho do hospital lá, porque o gordinho era o novo namorado da menina e o babaca que agora estaria namorando com a colega de trabalho dele, ainda quer voltar com a ex, porém encontra ela indo viajar com o gordinho e volta pra festa com a outra. ENFIM, tá ai o motivo pro diacho do 3,5.

É aquele tipo de filme que ou você gosta ou você odeia. Um filme bem vida real, sem clichês e final conto de fadas.O filme é dividido em três tempos: “Tênis Novos”, “Tênis Velhos” e “Dois Tênis”
Basicamente a história gira em torno de um casal que se conhecem ali no hospital pelo menos é isso que entendemos num primeiro momento, ela enfermeira e ele trabalha num escritório de arquitetura. Ele é transferido para outra cidade e isso faz o relacionamento deles azedar e consequentemente muitas discussões.
Não temos uma definição certa do tempo que é percorrido, mas cuidado, o filme é cheio de pegadinhas interessantes que deram um up no roteiro.
O plot twist pra mim foi ?? (talvez pra mim foi tudo isso porque sou lerda)
Se você ainda não viu o trailer, faça como eu, vai sem ver nada pra surpresa ser maior porque no trailer fica evidente um acontecimento lá.

Esse filme é bom !Mostra como de pouco em pouco você pode fazer com que quem você ama seja deixado de lado , mas eu sinceramente fiquei decepcionada com os personagens . Talvez eu tenha criado uma expectativa de que teria um vilão e um mocinho mas ja te digo o unico coitado da historia hyeok . No final você descobre que se você esta num relacionamento e tudo que doa e não equivalente você nao esta numa relação você está em um amor unilateral e tudo mundi quer ser amado equivalentemente e cuidado com golpe . Cuidado com golpe !

A realistic portrayal of modern day relationships
The last 10 minutes of the movie will leave you mind-blown. That's where the twist is, and you need to watch it again to get a complete grasp of the story. Thank goodness it's on Netflix! We can rewatch the scenes until we fully understand what's going on (lol). This is a well-executed film, with three equally talented stars at the forefront. It has a good balance of seriousness and humor as the characters matter-of-factly tell their story, a characterization of why relationships in this fast-paced world are short-lived. This is rated 13+ by Netflix, but it tackles a more mature topic apt for, perhaps, a more open-minded perspective on dating and relationships. If you are expecting a feel-good happily-ever-after romantic comedy sort of thing, this, without a doubt, will disappoint you. Watch something else.Chae Soo Bin impressively portrayed her role as the lively and cheerful turned lonely and weary nurse, Da Eun. She's one of the younger stars whose acting prowess is commendable. The camera immaculately captures her sweetness. A real beauty who's a class act of her own. Jang Ki Young (Jang Hyuk), nailed his role as the struggling young professional climbing up the ladder. An imperfect guy with a perfect smile. Such a charming young man! I've watched him portray different roles in dramas, he never disappoints, always a pleasure to watch. His scenes with Krystal (Bo Young) were fun and light in contrast to the serious and heavy scenes with CSB (Da Eun), yet he wonderfully delivered. He's got good chemistry with both CSB and Krystal, too. Krystal as Bo Young was exceptional. She playfully and brilliantly brought the character to life.
I love this movie. I like how it ended. I let out a satisfying chuckle at the final scene yet, at the same time, heartbroken for the sweet romance that turned sour in the end. I was left with an afterthought of what could have happened if they had done things differently. The main leads are not bad, they're just young people who still have so much to learn--perfectly flawed humans who are newbies in the real world and still have a lot of growing up to do.

A beautiful well written story with a twist.
Just when you think you know the whole story it morphs in front of your eyes. A twist you will never expect. This story shows us that every encounter we have in life can be a temptation that will change the course of our journey. Relationships can be fragile, only trust and a strong bond can hold them together. Add love to the mix and you have something special. When infidelity intervenes can the normal reaction be overwhelmed by a woman’s instinct to protect her unborn child when she is also abandoned? Watch this entertaining story and find out.I loved Chae Soo Bin’s portrayal of Jeong Da Eun. She never disappoints. She showed so many different emotions in this movie that were critical to the making of this unique story. The other two leads were also great. Jang Ki Yong nailed his performance of Yang Hyuk, a young man climbing the ladder of success and facing all the things that can happen along the way. Krystal was also amazing in her portrayal of Han Bo Yeong a quirky co-worker who is also the other woman. If you want a happy ending then be prepared to understand the nuances of this movie. If you give this movie the attention it deserves it will show you a perfect ending that will leave you with a satisfying feeling. Not many movies with this type of twist at the end can do that.

an underwhelming and confusing result
all i knew before watching this movie was that it had an incredible cast and iffy plot. i had no idea how they were planning to make a man cheating on his girlfriend watchable entertainment.lo and behold, the entire time we were simply watching a guy thats on the borderline of cheating on his girlfriend, with a plot twist that didnt make anything better. the script didnt evoke any emotions, the characters werent well developed, the plot was cliche, and the ending tied this all into a lopsided bow. i dont know who looked at the sweet and sour proposal and said "yes, this is so good it needs to be made into a movie."
it was minimally interesting to see the relationship between ML and FL being paralleled with ML and SML. the only other positive i can think of is the incredible team of actors. they tried to make the plot and characters relatable but i never felt any emotions except annoyance for the ML and the plot never reached peak satisfaction. i think its because they focused too much on building up for the ending, but the ending was the weakest part of the movie and a different ending mightve made it a more watchable, relatable, slowburn romance.
i especially disliked how the directors set the narrative on ML to make him appear more internally conflicted and less of a shitty cheater. i couldnt tell if they wanted us to sympathize with ML or hate him, which was probably done to help the ending flow better. unfortunately, 7 minutes of explaining and backtracking isnt enough time to "fix" or settle anything. the plot twist doesnt help the movie either, it kind of just leaves us off on an unsatisfied note, like "what just happened?". it makes me feel like i should rewatch the movie to understand it, but the movie wasnt good enough for me to want to rewatch it.
all in all, the writing and plot werent strong enough to do what the director/writer intended for it to do. the actors were great but absolutely wasted on this mediocre and confusing movie. even though i had no expectations, im still disappointed.
if you read the description and expect the "refreshing romantic comedy" it claims to be, youll be even more disappointed than i was.

You won’t forget it!
When you watch so many kdramas sometimes they can blur together. So many of the same cliches and story lines. This one will wipe them all from your mind, all in the last 10 minutes and make you think about it for hours afterwards.My review is biased on how I’m feeling after watching it. I love it and hate it, very few dramas leave this kind of taste in my mouth and I remember each one of them. Which is why in the end, I’ll say I love it, because it evoked such strong feelings in me.
Feelings for and against JH then, feelings for and against DE. No one is perfect and it was refreshing to see it in kdrama land, realistic and messy, and, hard and kind.
I really hope you watch it without spoiling it for yourself and feel all the crazy emotions.

Miraculously sugary and realistically acidic!
The movie started off really well with excitement that's addicting, and the pacing follows tightly as the focus of the story shifted chronologically. It may be using a more comical approach at the beginning, but the realism for the second half of the movie is extremely true to life and bizarre to watch. Then when everything's coming to an end, the ultimate reveal catches everyone off guard, by presenting a groundbreaking, mindblowing and earth-shattering closing sequence. Disgusting plot!
What a waste of good actors.The plot is very boring and disgusting. Now,I always look for spoilers that includes the ending,so I will decide if I want to watch it or not.Unfortunately there was none for this ,as it just came out today,so decided to watch it anyway because of the good actors.Big, major disappointment.So,here are major spoilers for people like me who try to decide if the movie/series will be worth their time.

The story is about Da Eun,who exhausted from work and ignored by her boyfriend Jang Hyeok,who started having interest in his colleague Bo Yeong,found refuge in one of her patients who happens to have the same name as her boyfriend (Lee Jang Hyeok).
The boyfriend kept on lying to her to hide the fact that he was already interested in Bo Yeong.After finding out she is 4 weeks pregnant ,she was pretty much forced into terminating the pregnancy.After coming home from the clinic,and him kept getting messages, he decided to leave her broken and crying ( though she did say she was ok with him leaving, but what crazy guy will do that)
Eventually they break up when he calls her by his colleague's name,and she gets out of the car,while he is pissed ar her (have no freaking idea why he is the one pissed).
He not only ends up kissing Bo Yeong,but he also sleeps with her,and end up in a relationship.
After being there for Da Eun when she is sad,lonely,depressed,Lee Jang Hyeok and Da Eun ends up in a relationship.
While Jang Hyeok is going out with his new girlfriend,things around him starts reminding him about Da Eun.At the party, while being sad that he may not be hired as a permanent employee,he is again reminded about Da Eun after finding out that the prize was a 5 days Jeju Island vacation.He takes Da Eun's ring and runs to the airport (they were supposed to go to Jeju Island together) trying to get her back (after sleeping with Bo Yeong ,yeah right) .There he bumps into Lee Jang Hyeok,who so happily was trying his new shoes which Da Eun bought for him.
Da Eun and Jang Hyeok's eyes meet in shock,and she gives Lee Jang Hyeok a hand to help him get up.They both leave for the plane flight,while Jang Hyeok stays there in shock .He then leaves swearing at her (Again,have no freaking idea why he is pissed at her) and goes back to the party where Bo Yeong is waiting happily after she ends up winning the Jeju Island prize.He then tries to figure out where things started to go wrong,ending up blaming his ex boss for everything that happened to him.At this point he puts Da Eun's ring on Bo Yeong's finger,asking her not to leave abroad
and telling he loves her,but she refuses saying she's not there yet.
The movie ends with him saying "Shit! " after a sip of water? (or whatever was inside that glass)

The roller coaster that just goes up
Despite the plot twist, the movie felt like I didn't finish the marathon, did not jump the bunjee and I was on a roller coaster that just goes up. This film is a bitter example of how a realistic approach doesn't guarantee peak emotions. Even though the film is pretty rooted in mundane emotions people might relate to, it somehow stifles the whole point of it.The actors have gotten the point across. But the script fails to evoke any emotion and I was waiting to feel something (anything) till the end. The characters failed to grow (even if they are supposed to fail to 'grow up'). What a waste of good actors. Most stereotypical subplots found in movies are just sewn together in a messy patch that I do not want to buy.
