My review is intended as a personal opinion. In no way am I here to sway anyone. If you are looking for a movie (or series) that doesn't take itself too seriously, then this is it for you! This movie brings back the four lovable but idiotic Tootsies; Gus and his squad of queer BFFs, Natty, Golf and Kim. In the drama, we were left with the unresolved story of Gus and Top. Though Gus had moved on with his new partner Win, we (the viewers) were still hopeful that Gus and Top would end up cannon. The movie does a great job in closing their love arc and despite how they end, it was satisfying.
The movie starts with the ever clueless Natty and her intestines's impeccable timing in public situations. If you enjoy a good fart joke or two, you might die of laughter with Natty's issues. Then Kim and is ever need to be "perfect" are the recipe for disaster up in the air.
Don't let their foolishness and idiotic behaviors distract you, because this little gem has a lot of topics that many people deal with on a daily basis. We have Natty and her desperate attempt to get pregnant to secure her mother's inheritance. Then you have Gulf wanting validation for his work, specially from his idol. Gus having no desire for settling into a domestic lifestyle which includes a child--and then Kim....damn Kim always being extra.
I really enjoyed this and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a good rom-com. Also, my mother enjoyed it and she's hard to please.

Well, after the failure second season - which, except the longtime anticipated bed scene they owed us, was unwatchable - the creators (thankfully) decided to come back to the roots. That means bleached hair for Gus (he looked horrendous in natural brown), Top is back, and (less thankfully) so is the gross "toilet humour". So, I had to withstand that, hoping for some romance & good humour (which I found in 1st season AMONG the toilet one). Due to smth in the stupid 2nd season (which I dropped so quickly I don't even know what happened in episode 2x2 and on), Gus has a new boyfriend, who is not Top. So, I also had to wait it out till he loses him. The creators might as well leave him behind beforehand, but no. So, I prayed in that 1 hr. 48 min. there will be something good for me to find... Similar with season 2, which had Davika Hoorne, here we have Chompoo Araya joining the cast. Nothing against her, but I am not watching this for her. Though, it's good that for the first time we have something like "general story" (which, frankly, the series hadn't, it was more like sketches and a little side-stories of the characters) I honestly only started caring when I saw the tension between Gus and Top was back. Cannot help but ship those two:) But then, I couldn't help but to care for the little girl. So, there's no happy ending for Gus & Top. Suxx. There is a last scene where they have a "cheerful" conversation about it, but I wasn't buying it. Personally, I edited all that out. Esta resenha foi útil para você?
I like how altho the plot was so absurd, the journey was never boring. You will be rooting for the friends to overcome the challenges. I loved the chemistry of the 4 and Cathy blended well with them. I'm curious about their character development during the 2 seasons of the series up to the time of the movie.
Kudo to the actress playing Cathy! She was so delightful to watch, you can tell she wasn't afraid to make fun of herself. That shows dedication!
Thai comedies are really a good mixture of humor with heart. And this certainly will be one for keeps.

Completely crazy
I've never heard of the Tootsies, but it looked like it would be fun. There were some over the top camp moments and some ridiculous moments. The first scene was awful - I don't like that sort of humour (I had to fast forward) but I hoped it would get better. It did!
They were some real laugh out loud moments. There were truly silly moments.
What I liked: despite having really silly moments, there were some real life issues in the film: pretending to like your partner's 'daughter', pretending not to notice something is slightly off with your partner, being desperate to have a child (for whatever reason!) and willing to do anything.
What I didn't like: stereotypical camp gay men. I accept there are lots of camp gay men, but at times it felt like too much. It didn't detract from the fun of the film though (because the campiness was part of the fun!)
It won't win any prizes but there was enough to keep me watching without being bored.
