The first 6 episodes were really slow, even compared to "A Love so Beautiful". I'm not into watching the ugliness of society (be that Korean, or American) for extended periods of time, I was ready to drop the drama multiple times for that reason, but the entire plastic surgery thing kept me interested just long enough to reach episode 7 and then things turned for the better. I realized that I really started liking the cast & the romance was getting more and more interesting. There was no humor at all in the first half, but there were quite a few funny moments later on too. As usual in a drama like this I expected the worst from the love triangle, but that never happened, that's always a giant plus. I don't really care about bromances, but this one here was not much worse than in Goblin. I also like how it ended. Yes others have commented on how many secondary plotlines are unfinished & how great a second season would be, but I disagree. I'm genuinely afraid of what the plotline in that hypothetical second season could be. I feel that they followed the still ongoing webcomic too closely up until the ending, that's why we had all that melodramatic setup in the beginning that couldn't really lead anywhere in 16 episodes and honestly I'm not that curious about their resolution, feeling that it's better not to know, I'm content that I got the happy ending that I wanted & the topic of plastic surgery & the psychology of plastic surgery were sufficiently explored.The OST was just there, here I am writing this 8 hours after finishing the series & I don't recall a single song, or track. Not memorable at all.

That was such an amazing drama (I literally finished watching it 2 minutes ago) 'My ID Is Gangnam Beauty' made me laugh out loud so many times, kept me on the edge of my seat and ship the two main characters so much! At the end of every episode it made me eager to watch the next- it was that interesting! I'm so happy I watched this when all the episodes were already out because I don't know if I would've been able to survive a whole week waiting for the next one! I've never written a review but I am for this one which shows how much I really love this drama. The storyline was creative and so cute! I loved the chemistry between the two main characters. All the supporting roles did a fantastic job as well. Not to mention, the soundtrack is absolutely wonderful and fits perfectly with the show. I LOVE college romance dramas and haven't been able to find another one as good as 'Cheese In The Trap' but now I can happily say I have with 'My ID Is Gangnam Beauty.' FINALLY the message portrayed in this drama is so beautiful and relevant in today's world where everyone places so much significance on beauty and physical appearances. YOU, whoever is reading this, I want you to know that you are beautiful and strong and smart and should not worry about what other people think about you. Because at the end of the day, true beauty lies within each individual. That's all I wanted to say, feel free to add me as a friend! Now, my quest continues to find another drama that I can fall in love with, preferably romance >.<

OPINIONS
This drama is all about the love story of KMR and DKS. More of a romance drama. There's school bullying, high-school stuff, and others. I don't think I saw any more genre other than romance but this was a very interesting drama to watch. (It was in fact my first K-Drama I watched!)The plot was unique, but it's more of a "friends to lovers" or "classmates to lovers" story... But the plot was kind of interesting.
The characters also had unique personalities. For example, KMR. She's one of the beautiful people in her batch but doesn't seek attention nor brag about anything.
The ending was as expected, KMR and DKS will fall in love and "live happily ever after". Since it is a love story, I kind of expected "Happily Ever After". And after all, it's a "friends to lovers".
The casts' acting was very good. They all played the characters greatly.

En cuanto a los personajes, la protagonista tiene muchas veces una actitud muy infantil, lo cual hizo que no pudiera conectar con ella, creo que es fácil conectar con ella en el sentido de los complejos o la timidez pero su actitud muchas veces te dejaba fuera de la historia. Por otro lado, el personaje masculino interpretado por Cha Eun-woo tampoco terminó por gustarme debido a su actitud fría y despreocupada. Me gusta Cha Eun-woo y he visto varios dramas protagonizados por él y creo que es un actor al que le pega más papeles más alegres y no un papel en el que tenga que mantener una cara tan seria, he echado de menos su sonrisa…Y, por último, el personaje de Soo Ah ha sido la cosa más odiosa y más manipuladora del mundo. Hace tiempo que no había visto un drama con una antagonista tan odiosa y cada vez que salía en pantalla...deseaba que pasara rápido, aunque después podemos entender un poco el motivo de su actitud.

Do Kyung Suk está guapo...más allá de eso,éste es un drama normal.
Este drama me gustó, aunque lo sentí algo aburrido al principio me terminó gustando. Los primeros capítulos son un poco flojos y chimbos (bueno...más de un poco), pero ya habiéndolo terminado de ver puedo decir que me gustó, pues, aunque el drama no es la gran cosa el protagonista si lo es, de hecho, él fue el motivo por el que vi este drama, pues quedé enamorada de él después de ver True Beauty.A partir del capítulo 4 o 5 la cosa mejora, o sea, no es que el drama se ponga buenísimo, no, este drama nunca es buenísimo, solo el aburrimiento disminuye a un nivel agradable.
Yo creía que Lee Su Ho era serio (personaje de Cha Eun Woo en True Beauty) pero Do Kyung Suk (personaje de Eun Woo en My ID is Gagnam Beauty) va más allá de lo serio, supera la máxima seriedad, y su personalidad distante, asocial y seca, creó situaciones que me causaron mucha gracia, a pesar de no ser un drama cómico la rara personalidad del protagonista, su falta de expresión y las cosas que decía fueron capaz de hacerme reír un par de veces.
Este drama lo volvería a ver sólo por el protagonista, el verlo es más que suficiente para mi, y te lo recomiendo si quieres ver a alguien super guapo. Pero en caso de que no te guste Cha Eun Woo (lo cual es imposible), probablemente no disfrutes este drama, al menos que seas paciente y te gusten los dramas ligeros con un romance muy lento sin tanto acercamiento ni contacto entre los protagonistas.
Leí un comentario que decía que hicieron parecer a los protagonistas como unos tontos y que la prota se ve como vieja...estoy de acuerdo. Se veían tontos porque ambos personajes (cuestión de los personajes y no de actuación) eran muy pegados y lentos, por eso su relación también fue lenta, pero sinceramente eso no me molestó.
Yo quería que Yeon Wao Young quedara con Oh Hyun Jun (la amiga de Kang Mi Rae) y la villana Hyun Soo Ha es sinceramente una de las que más he odiado, no le gustaba nadie pero quería que todos gustaran de ella, que chica loca.
Creo que en todos los dramas es normal que el protagonista sea alagado por su apariencia física, pero aquí lo hacen mucho y también hay varias frases y diálogos de este drama que me gustaron mucho.

I enjoyed watching this drama despite some clichés, flaws are easily overshadowed by the message. The actors are not particularly bad (I've seen worse, come on), and it was very enjoyable to see female characters getting bolder on their positions in society. I feel like this kind of drama was necessary in Korean society, as their beauty standards are extremely unrealistic, particularly for women. The only thing that didn't make me give a full mark was the ending. A little too much of a cliché festival for me, but overall really nice! Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Cha Eunwoo's acting never fails
the best drama about lectures. walaupun pick me girl di drakor ini emang paling ngeselin, tapi konflik teringan dalam drakor-drakor lainnya sih. untuk saat ini, drakor ini berada di no 1 dalam drakor terbaik yang pernah di tonton. mungkin karakter eunwoo disini memang paling bagus, karna terlihat tidak bodoh sama sekali dalam menghadapi sifat pick me girl, patut di apresiasi. juga disini ternyata sama kaya pemeran true beauty. juga disini karakter ibu dan bapak si pemeran cewenya memang sangat menyentuh hati ya.., dari sangat mengerti apa yang dibutuhkan anaknya dan selalu mendukung apapun yang diinginkan anaknya, jaman sekarang sangat sedikit orang tua yang sangat mengerti apa yang diinginkan anaknyaEsta resenha foi útil para você?

this is my first review of a kdrama! i’m not sure anyone would read this at all, but oh well!so.. i just finished watching it and it was absolutely amazing!! honestly, the drama got me hooked at the first episode. however at first, i watched it because of cha eunwoo but didn’t know it would get me intrigued this much.
to be real, i thought mirae’s character was sort of boring. omg sorry xkdisjd i’m a very energetic person overall, so i thought mirae was too mature and calm for my liking. but she was super kind.
at around 8 episodes into the drama, i started REALLY hating soo ah. i hated the fact that she was always around kyungseok and ughhhhh. and then she started to talk shit about mirae !! she also basically only cared about appearance which pissed me off the most.
i was also very impatient about when kyungseok and mirae would get together, lol. it was a long wait, but in the end, they’re so cute together!
i mainly love how the drama ended off with everything resolved (well idk about kyungseok’s parents but yeah LOL). and kyungseok and mirae’s kiss.. (pls give me a kyungseok.) i believe this drama gives a nice message. of how you shouldn’t judge someone from the outside, as well as a bit of self love. i know that’s like how EVERY message in almost all movies are like, but uhh yeah! i’m not going to go into too much details^^
edit: it’s been the next day since i’ve watched this drama and i literally can’t move on from it!

This drama addresses the very real societal pressures directed toward beauty and how it influences our daily lives and thoughts. While the acting definitely isn't groundbreaking, the actors/actresses did a good job conveying the message and relationships throughout the drama. This drama also shows the uncertainties of growing up. Many think that once you reach of certain age, you have to have reached certain milestones. In reality, everyone is different. All in all, a good noncommittal drama about loving yourself for who you are and to just enjoy yourself instead of worrying what other people might think.

why? its a charming rom com with a very likable cast, good story, good ost, both leads attractive and fun to watch (i finished it in two days)Story: 10.0 - Kept me interested and actually caring what happens
To be honest i wasn't expecting much from the story, but i was wrong, the story moved in a very good pace, i can say i was never bored, i enjoyed every scene between the leads, it could be slow for some people but hey, if you're watching dramas, 16 episodes, 16 hrs, i dont think you care about the time invested. What i really liked is how it show kang mi rae dealt with bullying, sexual harassment, and detecting lies, fending off guys who are just in it for action, fending off guys who are just attracted to your looks and not liking you for you, you also get to witness her growth as the episodes goes on, people may think she is dimwitted and ditzy but she is actually very smart
Cast: 10/10 - Very likable
It was surprisingly enjoyable to watch, both leads are attractive, kang mi rae is gorgeous, most guys ideal gf type, pretty, cute, elegant, can dress hot and great personality, her personality so good you wished everyone on earth was like her, how nice would that be, do kyeung seok looks are just unfair, straight from japanese anime comic book look, but...contrary to what people say about his acting, i think he is pretty good, he is good to his sister, mom, people who he cares about and he does it in an affectionate way, he shows off different emotions, angry, happy, sad, crying, and cetera, i honestly think he did a good job on his part
woo young and kyung seoks interactions are just funny, i enjoyed watching them bickering at each other lol (and between him and his best friend that owns the bar)
soo a played her role great to the very end, i guess what the author wanted to show was looks is not the most important thing, inner beauty is, you may look hot on the outside but rotten on the inside and vice versa, beauty outside but rotten inside
do kyeung seok is like an heavenly being, how can you hate this woman, beautiful outside and inside
Music 10/10 - The melodies were perfect for this drama hence the high ratings, the best ive heard this year was from bloody romance, that ost was killer, but this one is no slouch either
Rewatch value 10.0 - I usually go back and watch the best parts (rain scene was pretty good) and a lot of the stuff they said in the drama got me literally laugh out loud in my room lol, surprisingly on my rewatches... i enjoyed watching it again
kang mi rae grows on you, you like her personality more and more as the drama goes on, she is a pure sweetheart, a good person to everyone, very considerate and honest, you enjoy watching her grow from episode 1 to 16, to be honest i felt the drama could go up to 20 episodes, when i was up to 15, i dreaded the idea i had one episode left, whats wrong with secretary kim gave me that feeling as well but this one was you wished their story keeps going (i believe the webtoon goes further than where the drama stopped), so i think if they did season 2 with same cast it would be an instant hit, i watched whats wrong with secretary kim and bloody romance before this, both excellent dramas and worth watching, this is definitely worth watching, it may be a little slow for some in some parts but i enjoyed the tempo that was set, the subtle hints, facial expressions, made this drama definitely worth watching, it is cute and charming and i am sincerely hoping for season 2
