Not only do the shows have similar casts and the same writer, but the structure and quality of the shows are very similar. They're both massively exciting and explore disabilities and mental illness in a nuanced, emotional way. I adore both shows and I think if you enjoyed one, you will absolutely enjoy the other.

Doctor Lawyer, Yihan (a surgeon who becomes a lawyer) and Prosecutor Seokyoung want to reveal the truth of medical malpractices and negligence in Banseok Hospital. And, there's Jayden Lee with hidden agenda.

""Life" is about a medical drama that depicts the power struggles and human stories that take place within a university hospital.

Son Sukku looks like Jo Seung Woo (I had to. But it is more than appearances). Both are Gu 'sajangs' with that kind of personality.
The dramas slow vibe, music, directing, etc.
The romantic relationship in My Liberation Notes, and a similar one in Life only it was very subtle.
Following lives of multiple characters.
Greatly written.

Both are about ordinary people trying to live their life in the work place. You might even call them dramas about (among other things) office politics; it's just that Life took place in a hospital and Incomplete Life in a trading company.

Both are medical dramas that provide a more realistic approach to the medical field and the lives of doctors. While "Hospital Playlist" is more on the comedic side in comparison to "Life," both stories show how rewarding yet challenging the medical field is.

Both are based on medical practice and has a gory feel.... The cross is mainly focused on revenge whilst Life is mainly focused on the business side of hospital. There is little to no romance in both show.

The main character in both series are doctors and their work is a major focus. A lot of the issues that the main characters have to deal with in their interpersonal relationships are similar.

About the people who do business and people who actually love their jobs.
Cho Seung woo character is similar to that of Bae in Hotelier.

Both dramas realistically depict the dark side of hospital politics. They both take a satirical look at malpractice and power plays within a university hospital.

Life focuses more on business and what goes on in the overall hospital, while White Tower focuses primarily on the main character's life.

White Tower is a man's tragic story towards his desire for success, his ideals, and his path from nothing to honor to shame to redemption. Life is more of a murder mystery where doctors clash with a businessman who attempts to make the hospital a profitable business.

White Tower was a critical and ratings megahit in Korea, and the Japanese novel it was based off of was a critical and massive hit in Japan.

Life seems to be headed towards that critical acclaim as well.

Both dramas have similar feels in the hospital setting and both don't have romance. But Life is more about political matters and don't have so much surgeries as Heart Surgeons.

I eerily got reminded how rampant corruption is not only in prison but is related to the medical component in so many different ways as well. This drama is also full of ups and downs.

This isn't a medical drama, but it felt somewhat similar. They both have abuse in the workplace, corruption and growth of characters (especially the male lead in both drama). As well a caring and nice female lead who stands out.
Recomendado por Le Chevalier Violet
Both series have a main male lead who is morally upstanding in an increasingly corrupted work environment. Both of their bosses also dislike them and would like to see them fired.
Recomendado por Lacquered Teeth
Both focus on daily routine of doctors and the politics affair in it: Money versus medicine, the hardships of being a doctor, the family patients affairs etc

Calm and passive male lead and great female doctor in both!
Recomendado por Kapetria
Even though the genre is different (Stove League is about sports drama, while Life is about medical drama), the environment that surrounding the male lead is similar. Both of the male leads show less emotions (NGM & JSW) and not welcomed by their colleagues when they first joined the company/team. Both of them excel in their field, and through conflict that happen within the story, the colleagues starts to help the male leads. Both of the male leads are also supported by female lead with 'humanism' view and have a brother with disability.
