Action Action Action
A story about superpowers. At first, I thought it'd be a cheap version of MCU & DC, but it proved me wrong. It has a good plot with a superpower element in it. Parents trying their best to save their children.I loved the fighting sequence.
Lee Mi Hyun had to do everything to protect Kim Bong Seok from guiding him to control his ability to earn money all by herself.
Laughed how Kim Bong Seok was telling Jang Hee Soo to catch him then to leave him while floating.
Lee Mi Hyun reaction to seeing Kim Bong Seok with Jang Hee Soo is epic.
Loved how calculatively Lee Mi Hyun approached Kim Doo Shik.
I wanted to see scenes between Kim Doo Shik & Kim Bong Seok. I'm disappointed that they didn't show any.
I'm surprised that Han Hyo Joo played the mother role of a teenager in her 30s.
Can't wait for S2.

Superpowered or not, good parenting is core
I was in Busan when this show was in second week on air. Saw a lot of ads. First few episodes were less interesting to me but I became invested in episode 5 onwards. What I like:
1) Parenting styles of 3 different families. Lee Mi-hyun is overprotective of her son Kim Bong Seok because of his supernatural powers but she never stops him from experiencing normal adolescence. He goes to public high school and he is allowed to bring friends home. Jang Ju-won becomes a single father after his wife passed away. You can see his dedication in raising his daughter Jang Hee-soo in safe environment. Lee Jae-man is another exemplary father despite his limitations.
2) Espionage - love episodes when Doo-shik, Ju-won & Mi-hyun were completing their missions. Even Frank's missions were thrilling to watch.
3) Acting - great acting by the cast.
4) Ending was just wonderful.
5) Romance stories of two sets of parents.
6) I am intrigued by the mysterious student who was not detected.
7) The battle at school. I love that Bong Seok carried his mum home.
What I dislike:
1) Higher ups at National Intelligence Services especially Director Min Yong-jun. Opening a school to identify and recruit superpowered individuals without being transparent to all parents is just a bad move.
2) I found the earlier episodes were less interesting because too much focus on Bong Seok and Hee-soo. Once the episodes focused on their parents' past, then I became more invested in the series.
Favourite scene
When Doo-shik was captured by NIS at Mi-hyun's residence and the scene at NIS.

Journey worth watching.
It's one of those few shows where one won't just watch it but actually feel the direction where the creator wants to take us. You know when episode feels short then sure short show's a hit. There are some nit picks here and there but won't mind it due to the overall development of main cast and even support roles have done fab. Kudos to creators for putting such efforts as majority of the action sequences feel supernatural and at the same time natural as one would expect.❤❤BONG SEOKAAA!!

Disappointed and Confused.
By now everyone must already know the show is definitely not a superhuman genre or even a thriller. The show for me was very very disappointing, it took me a lot of time to decide on watching a different genre than my usual romance/romcom kdramas.
Suprised why i gave it a rating, me too. How i look at it basically is the shoe the emotion and slight thrill portion very well and basically 3 plot levels made it more of a not only character driven but eccentric to realistic approach to problems of superhumans in a society.
Remember my 9/10 rating is solely for me and highly subjective.
But if i were to objectively rate my whole experience not just plot, 7.5/10 at max.
The 3 plot levels where disjointed and were very loose, some characters were just not fitted well but show made excellent remarks with them and used them to propel more of a eccentric focus on the eotional.flow rather than physical appearances of destruction, revenge , attack or war like most superhero related would .
Yet, even with these hiccups, the show kind of found its own groove by diving deep into emotions. It didn't go the usual superhero route of smashing things up or seeking revenge, which gave it this weird but kind of cool charm. It's this mix of stuff that's got me feeling all sorts of ways, like untangling a messy ball of thoughts that goes way beyond just slapping a number on it.

What Are You Waiting For? JUST WATCH IT!
"The people are innocent,Those who force sacrifices are to blame!"
This line defines the whole drama. And the title itself gives you an idea of what it'll be. I thought it would be the typical action supernatural drama where the good fights against the evil and wins at the end. However, it was more than that. I love how it's shown not only the main characters but also the supporting characters' background story. Not one scene is dulled. And it may be because of the outstanding acting by all the cast members, the chemistry between the leads, flawless cinematography and directing, great soundtrack and top-notch action scenes.
No doubt Moving is on my top drama list and the best drama of 2023!
I wanna fangirl over every character!! Mother Han Hyo Joo was mothering! I didn't know that her chemistry with Zo In Sung was something we NEEDED. T-T Let's not forget about our bear papa Jang Joo Won. His love story was heartbreaking. I broke down so hard while watching how he wailed in the elevator. And finally come my babies Hee Soo, Kang Hoon and my boba ball Bong Seokie! They were the heart of the drama. I think it's time to stop my fangirling.
The only thing I was disappointed with is about having no Kim Doo Shik in the present line. I wanted to see more about his timeline in North Korea. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see it. By the way, the last twist I didn't see coming. I never thought that the girl Hee Soo saved was......! (I leave it here. No more spoilers :D)
So without hesitation, GO and JUST WATCH IT NOW!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

disappointment
Was expecting alot for this show cuz of the high rating. But theres just so much of a flashback and repeated flashback. Theres just too much of a flashback, if its for a main chara its alright but for the villain ? why would u make a flash back scene for a villain that you would kill in just 1 eps like what is that?. Thank god this drama had 40-50 min each if its 60' id be dropping this drama for sure.Act is really good what can i say they are all a professional actors
Music its a good match for each scene

Mixed feelings
Mixed feelings about this drama. It was good but I guess supernatural stuff is not really my cup of tea.I had very high expectations for it, people had been hyping it up so I thought it would be a crazy masterpiece but to be honest it was just a regular superhero story but the production (except those flying scenes) and acting was above average compared to other kdramas. There were certain characters and stories I liked and if you like superhero/action/thriller dramas then I definitely recommend but I am not sure if it was good enough to recommend it to everyone.
It had quite a bit of romance and I even cried because of one story. My favourite was Ryu Seung Ryong and his character as Jang Joo Won. His story was the best in my opinion.
It felt a bit too USA-like and that's the part I dislike about superhero movies. Those cheesy lines between fighting scenes and the background music....
I felt the ending was a bit rushed and they could have showed us more scenes in present time if they had cut down on all those flashbacks. I was binging the show so it felt boring to me since I remembered those past scenes well.
Overall a decent kdrama but the genre is not my cup of tea, I gave it a chance because of those tiktok edits of that office romance. I don't regret watching it but once again I proved to myself that superhero stuff is not for me.

Korean version of the Umbrella Academy but BETTER!
This drama is for those who enjoy something different from the usual romantic and chaebol based stories. The story evolves around a group of children of former NIS agents who were born with superpower. Their abilities were constrained by their parents' desire to protect their children from getting seized by the NIS director.
The drama is divided into three parts: the first focuses on the children; the second part on the lives of their parents; and the third part is about the the children being hunted by the North Korean spies.
I dropped this drama last year but I rewatched on 29 June 2024 after watching a Facebook video about the romance between Kim Doo Shik and Lee My Hun. I love the chmistry between these two actors.
I enjoyed this drama very much which is rare because I dislike scifi dramas. This one stands out.

Great plot
One of the best fiction I've watched. They are like superheroes, but human-like heroes, no one gets an advantage with their powers if they can't wield them properly, making it useless. From the first quarter of the episodes in the drama, there will be plot twists, and that's what hooked me because there's actually a deeper story than what initially appears.Every main character has their own story, and the show dedicates respective episodes to each main character, making each one the protagonist. This somewhat bored me at some points, although the idea and storyline are good, my focus is on the main protagonist, so I searched for a lot of screen time for them.
I'm not entirely satisfied with the ending, it's not what I was hoping for. In my opinion, the ending happened too fast and was boring, considering how the plot started off so well.

A very good drama, so close to being amazing
Is Moving a good drama? For sure.Is it worth watching? Definitely.
Is it a 10/10? Sadly no.
But it could have been.
I only started watching Moving almost a year after its first episode aired. I didn't really know anything about it except for the fact that it was a very popular drama in 2023. That was it. I didn't know anything about the storyline, or even what genre it is.
Still, my expectations were high. Due to all the hype, I was sure I'd probably binge all 20 episodes in a week or so. Instead, the first few episodes felt very slow to me. I just didn't get the appeal. Sure, I liked the characters (it's basically impossible not to to start smiling anytime Bongseok shows up on screen cause he is just too adorable), but the story just didn't pull me in.
At first, I was blaming this to the fact that I haven't been into action dramas in a long time. Sure, I was a big fan of Heroes when they started airing almost 20 years ago (which Moving felt very similar to) and liked other "supernatural" shows like Smallville (yes, I'm *that* old) or LOST.
It wasn't until episode 8 when Dooshik first shows up & we watch him meeting Mihyun that I said to myself "OK, now I get. I love this." Those were two spectacular episodes that were unfortunately followed up by 2 mediocre ones. Don't get me wrong - I liked seeing Joowon's backstory, how he met his wife and became a member of the Black team. It just felt too dragged out.
Soon I realized that the whole drama was like that. It just kept going up and down again and again. There was one episode that was good and you got really into it, but then it was followed by another one that you were itching for it to end. With so many characters it just felt like the writers didn't know how to pace the show and include the details of the side characters in a way that didn't bring the entire drama down a notch.
Fight scenes were another problem. There were just too many of them and they were much too long. When you see Joowon get stabbed, hit or shot at for the 1000th time, it just seems like too much. I constantly found myself skipping ahead.
I like how they humanized "the enemy" by showing how and why the North Korean unit came to be, but it just felt a bit sloppy. They sprinkled in the crumbs of how most of the North Korean soldiers didn't really believe in their mission, but at the same time they were fighting both the adults and the kids to get the files and do what they were told.
To top it all off, the ending felt rushed. Why did Bongseok go in hiding all of a sudden? Why did the North Korean soldier get a nice & heartwarming scene of how he basically got "adopted" by Joowon & Heesoo, but the Doosik, Mihyun & Bongseok family reunion felt so underwhelming?

Heroes in Hiding ; Not Your Average PTA Meeting
'Moving' masterfully blends superpowers with heartfelt storytelling, delivering emotional highs and gripping action. The characters are deeply relatable, each with their unique abilities and personal struggles, making the story both thrilling and touching. The production quality is topnotch, with impressive special effects and a compelling narrative that keeps you hooked from start to finish. It's a must watch for Kdrama fans seeking a unique, engaging experience that goes beyond the typical genre conventions. Lastly I can't wait for season 2.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
