Slow and typical for a superhero series
The pacing was so slow that it was hard to get through the entire series. The first couple of episodes are a Naruto-style set up, where it feels like we are stuck in the same fight for 30 episodes. By the time time the main story line started I was bored, and the build up to the finale felt predictable.I am only posting a review because I don't understand how it is rated so well on here. 9.1? For a standard superhero story? Sure this drama is absolute genius compared to the garbage Disney releases nowadays, but for a Korean drama it felt a little dry to me. It would be more fair for this to be rated 8.5.

WHAT A DRAAMAAAA
This drama exceeded my expectations in many ways, and having Jo Insung in the cast was a guarantee of quality from the start. His presence added a layer of excellence to the entire show.I must admit that I didn't connect with the children's storyline as much as I had hoped. At times, it felt a bit too cloying and relied on clichés that I've seen before in similar dramas. However, this was a minor setback considering the depth and complexity of the adult characters' stories.
The various narratives involving the adults were emotionally powerful, with Joo Won's story being particularly heart-wrenching. I found myself shedding tears as I watched these characters navigate their challenges and personal growth.
One aspect I didn't appreciate was the open-ended ending. While it might hint at the possibility of a new season(I hope no!), I personally won't be tuning in for it. For me, the magic of this drama lies in the seniors' performances, and I believe that their stories have been beautifully told and don't necessarily need continuation.
Despite some violence and numerous sci-fi elements, this drama truly deserves the praise it has received. It's a solid 10, but it's also one of those shows that I won't rewatch in the future. The first viewing was a truly special experience, and it's one that I believe can't be replicated. Overall, a remarkable drama that tugged at my heartstrings and left a lasting impression

Moving in place
Moving is one of those shows that had all the tools to be a great but failed to meet its full potential because its lack of cohesiveness. It had the Budget, the actors, the music and everything in between. But how does a show that has everything come out to be only a subpar superhero action drama? The show did a great job at establishing its world and introducing its characters in its first act. However just as the show started to flush out what we thought were the main characters, it decides to hit PAUSE, go back in time and show the origin stories of their parents. The whole flash back fiasco lasted 8-11 episodes. It's not that it wasn't interesting, it was hard to follow. You're basically forced to reset and start over mid season.
The main issue with Moving is its cohesiveness, as it wasn't existent. The show said "Here's Plot A, oh shoot we forgot about the parents so here's Plot B-1 and Plot B-2. And oh yeah, we forgot about this guy so here's Plot C....okay now that everything's good lets go back to Plot A." The worse part is that They decided to tell Plot B-1 and B-2 at the same time focusing on two separate couples and their two separate stories. It was hard to stay engaged because you know where those characters end up in modern day. It would have been nice if the way they met each other was interesting and exciting but it was cliche and predictable.
You're basically spending all of act two waiting to get back to the modern day story line. Yeah cool stuff happens but its not enough to make you truly care.
This show was literally MOVING from plot line to plot line and made it hard to follow. YES it had great action scenes, FANTASTIC visual effects, and a soundtrack that will make you root for its characters, but it all means nothing if the story is hard to follow.
I will give the show its credit as the last 2-3 episodes managed to capture some of the excitement had in the beginning and ended things well, all things considered.
It's hard for me to recommend moving. If you wanted a superhero-vibe show just watch Marvel or DC. I can really only recommend moving if you're a fan of the cast as they do a really good job at playing their roles and honestly are the only reason why I managed to finish this 20 episode series.

K-drama of the year
The script is so well written that it doesn't give you a moment to relax, the cast is exceptional at their job. You're most likely to remember the characters for life.A fantasy supernatural drama but touching some of the very real dilemmas in the world. I was most impressed with the way even the supposedly villains have a back story and you'd rather not hate them but feel bad for them.
It's witty, it's emotional, it's romantic, it's very human. Maybe that is the crux of it, super humans are also humans at the end of the day.

Moving Lives Up to Its Title
After putting this on hold for a year, I finally got around to watching it. I regret not completing this sooner!I have so much to say about this drama! First of all, it was so good I just couldn't stop watching. Before I knew it, I had already reached the last episode and was hoping for more. Moving is a rare gem, and I'm glad that I chose to watch it. It's story is unique and the comedy was never off. The plot and sub-plots were great and kept me hooked. Many of the scenes left a big impact on me. Everything is just so perfect.
The way the characters were written is definitely my favorite part about the whole thing. The characters are so well-written and in-depth that you're able to understand each person. The good and the bad, I was able to feel for the characters. I was able to understand how they became who they are because it showed us how each character had a story and had reasons. Bonus: the cast was so perfect for this. Personally, Juwon became my favorite character, and I think Ryu Seungryong was a fantastic match for him. (His "theme song" always had me hyped!)
Despite the silly CGI moments and the insane amount of violence, I really enjoyed it. Just like the title says, moving is very "moving." I read somewhere that Moving was about unconditional love; I couldn't agree more.
I'm so glad they announced a season 2 with the same writer (also glad they were able to get a higher budget!). I hope it'll be just as good or even better. I can't wait for more!

A K-drama that actually K-drama'ed after a long time!!
Every character is written SO well, and I mean so damn well!! You know an author is good when you can't even hate the "bad" guys and root for the greater good for everyone involved.Every character, interaction, arc, just everything made sense. It was all intertwined like life often is: and is it NOT easy create such a remarkable story with loveable characters. Kudos to the author fr.
There was not a minute that was boring, I was glued to the screen the entire time wanting to know what happens next. Even the most mundane things were interesting and when the showed the purpose behind every little details.. WOW!!
And not just the story.. the actors, direction, cinematography, music, EVERYTHING HIT!!
Everyone did so well; I laughed with them, cried for them, cheered them on. And I'm still so invested, I can't to find out what happens next. I noticed many elements that they might play on in the next season and I can't wait to tune in!!

BEST DRAMA 2023...HANDS DOWN!
I went into this with many expectations...a lot...and this drama met all , and then some.I've always liked fast-paced action-packed films...and knowing how Koreans take it to the next level with the fighting and the gore, I was super excited to start this film.
I would have loved some more parent time... especially with Kim Dooshik, but oh well. I'm just happy they didn't kill him.
People who deserved to get hurt got hurt and redemption arcs went to people who really needed them...aka the giant bear from N. Korea...
The last time I was this invested in a couple's story and relationship was with CLoY and now I have new parents...their chemistry was giving, and I hope they get more screen time if there's going to be a season 2.
Lastly...the plot holes
-why didn't Bongseok graduate?????
- Why isn't he with Huisoo..,
-and why the fuck is Ganghoon trying to join the sick organisation?????
-What is the issue with the dude Ganghoon beat up? What really happened to him?
I was thoroughly entertained and got even more thrilled when I saw the announcement about season two cause quite frankly ...the ending wasn't it, not entirely.
The story didn't get a perfect 10, cause of the ending.
I don't even remember the OSTs
Acting was top-tier!
So should you watch this....Absolutely! You can't not watch this!

THE BEST KDRAMA EVER
I still need some time to process everything but I had to jump on the hype train and write this review just to share how amazing Moving was.The storyline, the plot twists, the time transitions were all executed in such a professional and perfect way that mostly no other kdrama has been able to hold from start to finish.
The chemistry between all the cast was off the charts. The main characters grew way too much on me. It was so interesting to see Lee Mi Hyun in this role. Loved how all the parents played as much of an important role as their kids.
The ending clearly leaves an open space for a 2nd Season that I would happily welcome.
I think the reason we connect so much with Korean Dramas is because no matter the genre, the writing and the plot in general gravitates towards a human orientation which makes it easy for the viewer to connect with the characters.
Will for sure write another review later on after I watch it for a 2nd time.
Thank you to each and everyone of the cast, who made this possible! 감사합니다

A Rare Gem Among Korean Dramas – Nothing Else Compares
I don’t have any specific memories tied to this show, but every time I think about giving Korean dramas another try, this one pops into my head—and honestly, nothing ever comes close to it. It’s ruined me for other K-dramas.It’s weird how every other review out there gushes about the chemistry between the main leads—like, I get it, they work well together, but can we talk about the actual story? You’re watching a drama, not a couple’s vacation vlog. And here’s the harsh truth: most K-drama stories are trash, with pacing issues that make you wonder if they lost half the script halfway through production.
But this show nailed every aspect—acting, pacing, depth, relationships, friendships, and of course, the legendary production quality. Every scene, every shot, just feels perfectly crafted. It’s rare to say this, but I think this drama can hold its own against some of the best Western series in terms of overall quality.
If I had one complaint, it’s that I wish there were more episodes. A little more time spent fleshing out the backstory and maybe giving us a glimpse into the characters' future would’ve made it even better. But still, this is as close to flawless as it gets.
If you're looking for K-dramas with substance alongside entertainment for everyone, this is the gold standard. Good luck finding anything else that measures up. I’ve tried—and failed. (A bit of disclaimer I do not like dramas that has random and unnecessary actions and random ups and downs and also I actively avoid sad and emotional dramas so I have definitely missed out on a few. But that does not mean those are bad and also better than this drama)

The Superhero Series We Deserve
Moving is the K-drama and slightly better version of Heroes in terms of writing and characterization. In fact, it is the superhero series we deserve and one that Marvel and DC wish they had concocted themselves. It's one of the best written K-dramas ever made, that's for sure! It boasts of a riveting plot, relatable characters, and visceral action scenes that are downright brutal and reminiscent of Oldboy. It centers around two generations of people born with superhuman abilities. The plot thickens when agents from opposing organizations start hunting down the previous generation of these “gifted” humans and eliminating them one by one. As the story progresses, the secrets and political conspiracies and machinations of those in charge are uncovered, revealing a plot so sinister that goes all the way to the top.
What I like most about this drama is how the characters were written. None of them are insignificant to the plot, each of them play a part in the story and they're all given their day in the sun no matter how small their roles are. Even the villains are humanized, making them more sympathetic and relatable. Come to think of it, there are no real bad guys in this drama. Each of them are given clear motivations so although you may disagree with their choices, you learn to understand them when you put yourselves in their shoes. And of course, the fact that actors were superbly cast to play these characters contributes to their overall appeal.
The production quality of this series is something that I wish to see in all K-dramas. The production team didn't build a “fantastical” world filled with designer-brand-obsessed people, annoying and laughable product placements, and meticulously curated fancy sets that defy logic and realism to create the illusion of luxury and wealth even when the characters are supposed to be poor. This K-drama formula has always bothered me and turned me off, so whenever I find dramas such as this, I thank my lucky stars because they are few and far between. The world of Moving has none of those, it is gritty and grounded despite the fact that the drama is a fantasy. It shows you the good, the bad, and the ugly side of humanity and the imperfect world they live in.
As I've said, all the characters are great. None of them are wasted. None are mere fodder. But I just have to mention Lee Mihyun, Kim Bongseok's mother. She is the epitome of a great female character. She's badass and highly intelligent and she makes smart use of her powers. But she's also undeniably flawed and vulnerable. She's no Mary Sue. She gets hurt, she miscalculates, she makes the wrong decisions. She's a loving and concerned mother who would die for her son and she's also a wife who's longing for her husband. She's proof that you can write a tough and uncompromising female character without giving her masculine qualities and taking away her femininity. Pay attention, Hollywood! This is how you write a true girl boss!
I seriously can't heap enough praises on this series. I would've given it a perfect 10 if I didn't feel like some parts dragged a bit and wish that they could've written certain episodes differently. Also, I found some of the powers kinda dull and repetitive. But that's just me. That is totally subjective so take it with a grain of salt. If you still haven't seen this drama, go watch it now. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a well-written story. If you're a fan of the superhero genre, this is a must-watch.

if you're thinking of watching moving, just do it! the storyline and characterization is WONDERFUL. found myself rooting for all of the characters through every plotline, but i was particularly drawn to the ML's parents'. moving's receiving of the baeksang grand prize in TV is absolutely deserved; truly is one of my favorite kdramas and in general, tv shows of all time.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
