I thought Gong Hyo Jin played her role well too, and loved the chemistry between Na Bori & Tae In, but I didn't exactly love her character. Na Bori was frustrating to watch at times, often silly, and towards the end I found her actions to be almost mean. I also wasn't impressed by the chemistry between her and Ji Hyun Woo. Kim Da Hyun was so passive that he was boring, and they never had any great romantic moments together. There's one scene that I think was supposed to be touching, but I think he came across more as a creepy stalker.
Another thing that I didn't particularly like were all the class subplots. Their stories were sometimes sweet, but usually corny, and often felt like time fillers. I can't say that I honestly cared about any of those characters except for Choi Yeo Jin, who was a more interesting rival than Kim Da Hyun.
In spite of the slightly taboo topic, this is a very basic romance, with family disapproval, and love squares that you've very likely have seen before. There are many Tae in scenes that I could see myself watching again, but not much else. Gong Yoo is the main reason I would ever recommend this drama. His transformation from a troubled and rebellious teen to a maturing young man, and his struggle to deal with his forbidden love, was truly an impressive performance.

The drama has it's share of absurdities and annoying people. At times during the first half, you have to throw away logic and reason. At other times, you become intensely frustrated with some people. But,none of it is a reason to not like the drama. And those people do redeem themselves in the end.
Gong Yoo and Gong Hyo Jin are reason enough to enjoy this drama. And the ending makes it worth the while.

This drama made me become a fan of Gong Hyo Jin and it also proved to me how much of great actor Gong Yoo is. Also, I really liked the idea of this drama. This is what made me want to watch it. I like the whole "I'm a teacher and I'm going to change these kids life" story they used. And I liked the dynamic of the older woman younger male relationship (I don't know why but they tend to be my favorites like Dal Ja's Spring and Queen of Reversals. I must be a cougar at heart. Lol)
I loved the relationship that Gong Hyo Jin's character Na Bo Ri grew with her students. I think it was one of the best things about the drama. This drama is not just about her babysitting Park Tae In. This drama focuses on the other students as well and you get a new story each episode. This was something that I looked forward too the most. Expect to laugh and cry while watching this.
You have a great story and great cast with this drama and you'll truly enjoy it. I have re-watched this drama a couple of times and I really think the re-watch value is good. Biscuit Teacher and Star Candy isn't one of those overly emotional dramas where you feel like it was too much to watch again. BTSC is really funny majority of times.
Also I want to mention that Gong Yoo once again does a great job portraying his feelings. It's another reason why I loved him so much in Coffee Prince. His feelings showed throughout this whole drama and I truly felt like I saw him fall in love with Na Bo Ri. So if you like to see a drama where the guy falls helplessly in love with this girl then this is the drama for you.

The main reason I watched this show was to watch the relationship between Gong Yoo and Gong Hyo Jin. Gong Yoo is easily one of my favorite actors, especially because of his acting in Coffee Prince, one of my ultimate fave kdramas . Gong Hyo Jin has become one of my favorite actresses, after I watched The Greatest Love and masters sun. When I found out that they had a drama together, I HAD to watch it.The only reason why I continued to watch this show was because of them. I had the hardest time liking the second lead, hyun woo. As much as I thought it was cute that she really loved her teacher, and the teacher shared the same feelings, it got REALLY WEIRD. What teacher (SPOILER ALERT) keeps albums and paintings of their students for six years? He was really obsessive, and controlling. The step mom of Tae-in was just as annoying.
The side stories with the students were nice. While some seemed ridiculous and corny ( as someone mentioned) some was nice to see Bo Ri grow as a teacher. She had heart, and cared for her students so much, as if she was their friend.
All in all, all the scenes with Tae in and Bo Ri is the only reason why I gave this show an 8. They has so much chemistry , especially in the end. If you took them away as the main lead, but kept the rest of the story/cast, I would have given it a 6.

wtf
Park Tae In doesn’t deserve to be called a man. He’s a spineless, lying, abusive, and toxic little piece of shit and the worst male lead to ever exist. Okay, now that I’ve gotten that off my chest, I can talk about everything else. This drama just sucked. Like plain sucked. Both male leads were rather pathetic (although I do admit that Tae In did grow on me at some point and I kind of cheered for him at the end. The first sentence of this review was written when I was in the middle of the episode where he outright lied to Na Bo Ri about Ji Hyun Woo’s fiancee) and especially Ji Hyun Woo completely pissed me off at the end where he basically started hating Na Bo Ri for no reason? Idk what happened to them I was barely paying attention. The entire dynamic of the relationship just made no sense and made me feel kind of icky because the age difference was just a little bit too obvious for them to the point where it felt inappropriate for Na Bo Ri to be romancing a literal teenager. Eugh. Besides that, I was incredibly annoyed at the love triangle in the drama and how Park Tae In did everything in his power to break up Na Bo Ri and JHW. Like how much more toxic can you get as an ML? Of course besides the fact that he literally bullied and assaulted her in the beginning and continued to act super bipolar around her before “falling in love” with her out of nowhere. The entire drama was just a complete mess and I cannot fathom how people ever enjoyed it. There was a ton of unnecessary angst and wayyyy too many side stories about characters I gave zero shits about. It felt like every episode was focusing on a whole different student and his or her oddly intense life problems, such as suicide or loan sharks/gang violence. And I only just met those characters! How much do they expect me to actually care about them? Anyhow, I could probably go on for ages but this review makes no sense and is just a very long rant in which I’m essentially trying to say that this drama is 100% a waste of time and shouldn’t be watched.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Acting very good by all parties -you could feel the frustration and confusion Bo Ri felt, the brokenheartedness and love of Tae In, and the sympathy and bittersweet feelings Teacher Hyun woo had for Bo Ri. Hyun Woo's sister and Tae In's mother was kind of a B at times, but I thought her role was appropriate since she prevented what wouldn't have worked out. Tae-In's father seemed like a level headed individual except at the beginning when he had a bit of a cold shell.
Music was fine with nothing exceptional nor terrible. Rewatch value is low because although I loved the first half of the drama, the latter half was just so so.

In Short: Worth it just for Gong Yoo’s smiles. A very cute drama, though it has some slightly unnecessary “filler” story lines and a very passive male second lead.
Pros: Excellent leads, sizzling chemistry
Cons: Passive second lead, some unnecessary “filler” story lines
