This is certainly a drama that I will never ever forget for my entire life.It was aired in 2005 on a local TV channel in the Philippines, I watched every single day without missing a part of it. I re-watched the series when I had my very first computer. And this drama never cease to amazed me especially Erika Sawajiri's role of Ikeuchi, Aya. She's really good on bring the emotions to life and you will really feel her words deep in your bones. The struggle is real in here, and you will truly struggle not to cry in every scene.
This drama really inspires me, I won't give you spoilers but what I can say is that, before you watch this one, be sure that you will have acartons/boxes of tissues ready. I love the OST & I love the song Ryo Nishikido as Asou Haruto sang with the class in front of the hospital, I even memorized it and still know the lyrics to this day.
I wish you're true Asou. I really wished you for Aya.
OST: Only Human by K ft. Kim Dong Wan
Special Songs: 3 gatsu 9 ka (Sangatsu Kokonoka) & Konayuki by Remioromen

Though I didn't cry while watching this drama it left a mark. The acting of all the cast was amazing. The family's reaction and acting were superb. The expressions of pain and sadness were so realistic!
The music matched everything perfectly especially the song in the trailer.
I would rewatch this drama with friends, it's so touching and the message sent is very inspiring. This drama has actually got me very interested to the point where i want to read the book from this drama was originally based off.The flaw I found was there were sometimes that I skipped since they seemed like fillers. Other then that I have no other negative thing to say.

This drama is bittersweet, its very sad but that is life and to be honest this drama made me appreciate life, love, family, education, equality, hospitals more then I did before.
I found a video on you tube which led me to watch the drama version on gooddrama.net
I hear the movie version is good too haven't watched it yet but the series really captivates the story well.

Don't get me wrong, I loved it! The story is great and moving, the actors are awesome! That is probably why I cried so much, because they did such a great job.
Aya is an example of courage and perseverance, not to talk about the great family she as.
It´s definitly worth watching, it sort of makes you feel thankful for the life you have, for being healthy. But if you are a crybaby like me, go easy on the episodes. You probably should make an hour break between them! XD

Walls Are Comming Toward You!
You're imprisoned in a room. This is not nice, but can be tolerable in some situations, however the real disaster is that the walls are coming toward you gradually, so your body is gonna crushed sooner or later. In other words, time is your main enemy. Then how can you enjoy this situation? How can you do anything meaningful? How can you care about others, especially those who are outside such room?
Aya, her family and the Japanese culture tell you how!

10000 litres of tears
1 Litre of Tears holds an eternal place in my heart. Each rewatch deepens my connection to Aya's courageous journey, reminding me of life's fragility and the strength within. Erika Sawajiri's portrayal is a masterpiece, evoking raw emotions. The story's authenticity and the unwavering support of Aya's loved ones inspire me endlessly. With every viewing, I rediscover the beauty of resilience, making each tear shed a testament to the show's profound impact. A timeless gem that I'll keep revisiting for its touching narrative and the indomitable human spirit it celebrates.Esta resenha foi útil para você?

Get your tissues ready
By far one of the saddest dramas I've ever watched. From episode one I started to cry a river and was sniffing through out the whole thing. Truly moving story that teaches you to be grateful for the little things you take advantage of in life. Warning it's a sad ending, I was hoping the doctor or Aso finds a cure for the disease but sadly not which is the reality in life. I love how its based off a real story which is so inspiring. Sadly in real life Aya did not have a Aso, he was added to the drama :(((Actors did a great job showing what it is like to have the disease. Ost is awesome. I'll definitely rewatch this drama if I need a good cry by myself.

So excuse me in advance but i had to do it, this drama is just a straight uo masterpiece.
I went into this drama with a quite closed mind.
Like 5 minutes in i was already confronted with what drama this will be about.
And i knew instantly that this drama would bring me litres of tears.
This drama thought me so much.
It thought me to embrace life and stop complaining about really silly little things.
It really inspired me to be a better person.
To be the best i can be.
The acting was simply phenomenal, i believed every single word any of the cast spoke.
Everything was shot and filmed so well.
In my opinion there were no flaws other than the fact i had to cry every single episode.
I would encourage all of you to watch this drama.
Not only because of the story but mainly because of the message.
Rest in peace dear aya.. your life has inspired me so much and i hope you are in a better place now <3
Sorry if my grammar wasnt all that well.

This is the show that actually forced me to write a review because it's too good that I don't want others to miss.
It's a story about 15yr old girl Aya. That's all I need to say. But, mark my words you gonna feel the feels each episode. And you gonna cry like baby in some episodes. I never felt this emotional in my entire life. If you are curious, yes I have cried 1 litre.
If you're thinking about should i watch this j-drama or not, Please Watch it but make sure there are tissues by ur side while watching it ^v^
You won't regret watching it.
I finished it by watching it whole day today. . . I cried the whole day that my head n eyes hurts so much...

You'll be forever grateful after experiencing this story.
I'm writing this review just to give my thanks. It's never too late to see this series, as it may be made in 2005 this will be one for generations to learn from.
As we all have heard from everyone and everywhere, value the life you were given, and live it to the fullest.
But sometimes it takes a story like this to take in that fully.
Thanks to Aya for the lessons, thanks to the team and actors who told it, and thanks to everyone that shared it.
--- To break down the points ---
The story is the main selling point of this story, but the actors were so perfectly cast, at first I was a bit unsure of the father and Aso, but the strength jdramas have is character building, which has one come to love them in the roles.
The music felt repetitive, like it forced an emotion, and I'm my opinion, it was not needed at times. The main tracks were good.
Rewatch value? I won't need to, this one like a few others will stick to me for life.
If you can handle another watch, go for it.

Also it's my first drama I finished.
I have never ever cried this much over a show in my life, it's even sadder that's it based on a true story,
It's such of a impactful show I would highly recommend watching it. Why did I put the re-watch value down so low? I don't wanna go through the pain watching it. The music was great, some songs get played over and over but still great, the ending song though is great, the acting felt like real life.
