Acting was fine, but a little over the top at some points. Music was fine. I don't think I'll purposely rewatch this unless I'm desperate for something with shorter lengthed episodes to watch.

The acting I can't necessarily give a fair value on since I actually "watched" this via recaps, but from what I know of the actors and actresses they generally are able to perform very well. Music was fine, and I will definately rewatch this drama after I break down my to watch list.

A man who doesn't feel anything and is not afraid of anything falls in love with a girl who feels everything too strongly and is afraid of everything... Both have a trauma, but the trauma is not that simple as it may seem when you read the plot.
First of all Nam-Soon (by the way, this is a girl's name and it's the name of the male lead in the movie, I'll explain why), a man who lost his family in an accident and blames himself for spilling the cola in the car and causing his parents and noona to die, after the accident he hasn't felt anything physically: no pain, no taste, no touch... empty being... but from the fist minutes I could see, that this man was not only frozen physically, but also emotionally. I sometimes thought he had been brought up by wolves, as he had no idea how to feel grateful, love, think about something else besides his empty everyday routine (which was not the most beautiful scene to watch, by the way...) but this is until he meets HER...She is his reflection, his perfect reflection, actually I think she's all the things he would like to be, but has never been able to... She's hemophiliac, so every little cut can be her last one... And suddenly he wants to feel, to taste, to touch... his opening up to her was so beautiful, I couldn't look away from the screen.
There lines at the end of the movie and you hear Nam-Soon praying to the God 'Dear God, I've never wanted to cry as I don't feel pain, but you know, when I see her crying my heart feels like bursting into thousands of pieces, please, make her not cry, even if I have to give my life for that'... These lines reflect her lines in the middle of the movie, when they lie near and she tells him 'When you want to cry next time, tell me, I'll cry for you'... Isn't this genius? They make each other complete and perfect... two broken souls come together as one...

The story might not seem particularly notable, and actually rather cliche, but Yamada Taro Monogatari turned out to have a very interesting final conflict and ending. It was a touching story about friendship, family, and making it past financial troubles. It's cliche, but you'll just have to trust me when I say it's worth a try if you're looking for laughs AND tears.
I will disclaim that I did not like the first few episodes that focus on the leading actress AT ALL. I didn't like the actress to begin with, and her acting gave me creeper goosebumps. Blech! She gets better later, I suppose. This brings me to the acting/cast...not much to say. This drama was meant to be an idol drama, so I didn't expect much of the acting, and I was right to do so. Nino's acting throughout, though, pulled together the drama for me. His parents [in the drama] were the strangest...people...ever.
I have no comments on the music...I don't remember any of it except the opening theme that made me really energized after hearing it. xD
Rewatch? I don't usually rewatch anyway, but I'll probably rewatch a few episodes that were particularly funny. ;)
Overall, you'll have your share of laughs and of tears. I recommend watching this to loosen up after a long day--it's nothing too serious, but still has some integrity to its plot.
PS: +1 point in "Overall" for the kids at the ending. ; A ;

The movie is completely disappointing. The "storyline" was like when you are reading a book and you accidentally skip a few pages and then feel lost, but this was like it skipped full chapters. The acting was sort of like a very bad makjang drama. I've seen some of the actors in dramas and this is not they usually act. So, maybe it was asked of them to do it this way. The housemaid, what did she do? What did she gain? I wish she would have done more, but I think she forgot and skipped right to the ending of her plan. The music was mediocre and forgettable. The ending... I can't even describe the scene since the only thing that comes up to my mind, for some reason, is that the "Addams Family" is normal in comparison to this family. This is a movie that shouldn't be watched once much less twice.
This won awards? Why?

Story Line:
It started out as a horror movie for me with the weird parents, scary daughter and them eating the red soup, etc. But towards the end, it turned out to be something that is warm and touching, which wasn't exactly expected of. :)
I love what's hidden behind the story too. Like about how the kids are actually yearning for parents and also someone to play with. They didn't wanted to hurt anybody actually, they were just abandoned by their parents and they were lonely.
Cast:
I love the cast too. The kids are perfect, and I came to love Chun Jung Myung after this. He has this baby/playful face that matches really well with the kids. However when he gets serious about something, he becomes such a charming man.
Rewatch Value:
I have watched it a few times as I was doing a review of the movie for my class. But of course after rewatching it continuously, I got bored of it. But I would say everytime I rewatch it, I would get something new out of it. I have just watched it again after one year now, and it was really enjoyable for me :)
Overall:
This is really really worth watching. I love it! :D

The story was suspenseful, but never slow. The tension was always high, and I was on the edge of my seat the entire nearly-11 hours. I relished in every second of it. I had predicted something else for the ending, but somehow I'm very happy with the real one. One word: INTENSE. If you pick a side to support, it gets even more exciting. xD
I must really, really commend Ohno Satoshi for his performance. Nothing to say--I was rooting for him the entire time. I cried when he cried, raged when he raged...I got my heart broken twice. The entire cast, though, was amazing as well, just that Ohno blew me away. I must say, not all idols can act, let alone act as well as Ohno.
The soundtrack had one track that played a bit often (perhaps because I marathon'd the series, but I love it so much I didn't care at all. If I listen to it now I'm sure I'll cry. The track is called "LiVE/EViL". Plus, Arashi's "truth" (the opening theme song) is one of my favorites even now.
Rewatch? I'LL REWATCH IT 5EVERS (it's one more than 4ever, you see).
There's suspense, there's romance, there's intensity...If you haven't watched it yet...Do it now! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
PS: Cry easily? Have a box of tissues ready!

The World of Silence is an aptly named movie packed with suspense, action, a bit of comedy and a lot of emotional, heartwarming moments. At first, I was a bit sceptical to watch this movie because I mostly love the romance genre but somehow, I just brought myself to watch it and I couldn't stop.
The movie centers itself around a detective trying to solve a case of a serial killer who targets orphaned girls about 12 years of age. There are many suspects including a photographer who recently became the guardian of a young girl.
As the story progresses, the audience is taken on a roller-coaster ride of emotions as there are many twists and turns in the plot. I believe that there could have been more character development and I wish that the plot didn't seem so rushed (hence my score of 8).
Regardless, this is a superb movie and I recommend it to anyone who loves intrigue and mind-boggling plots.

the question is simple but the answer is heartbreaking, the truth is harder than expected...
moving story about an actual case that never been resolved...the movie is based on a true case which makes the story even more painful to watch in addition the victims were only young and innocent boys
the movie represents well the family bonds between parents and their children, the hope to find the lost ones, the desperate state the parents are in, the opinion of the outside world, etc etc
it also represents well of what hardship this case brought to the different people that are involved in it
the actors did a great job throughout the movie... you could feel the emotions so sincerely and also could imagine the parents' state during that time very well
the characters were well portrayed and the story was well set out
IMPORTANT NOTE: the movie has some fictional scene in it around the ending (don't want to spoil it)
if you are interested about the case you can always google 'frog boys' / or even '1991 Deagu case'
there was another movie made in 1992 as well called 'come back, frog boys'

I knew Keiko Kitagawa from sailor moon and fast and furious. Osamu Mukai made an outstanding job in mei-chan no shitsuji.
Well i always happens in movies they change the plot a little bit or cut scenes.I think there was no need to that.In manga and anime the ending was different-actually the movie ending was pretty good too but i prefer ai yazawa's endings:)
Back grounds and places in movie are absolutely excellent!Music was nice so i would like to rewatch the movie again^_^
