Story: The producers call this drama a remake of the Korean ‘Full House’ but with the media playing a bigger role.

I found this story to be rather enjoyable and lighthearted. It starts off right in the middle of things. With Xiao Shi going off to meet her boyfriend and He Qun bailing from a press conference and running into each other. You get to know more about the characters as the story progresses. Of course the main female character is an innocent, upbeat girl. She’s pretty much ‘Mary Sue.’ While I found that annoying a lot of the time, it didn’t really stop me from enjoying everything. At times it did seem a bit boring and over played, as if the producers were just throwing random drama in the couples direction. But it all worked out in the end and while I was a little relieved that it was over, I was also a bit sad. It is a good drama to watch when you’re in the mood for something a little more upbeat.

Music: The music is wonderful. Cyndi Wang sings the main theme and it is one of the most played songs on my ipod. I have a couple other songs from this drama as well, including a very special song from He Qun (I won’t spoil it, just watch the drama :D )

Cast/Acting: Cyndi Wang did a wonderful job. She looks the innocent part. Nicolas Teo, who plays He Qun, was okay. I thought a lot of his acting looked forced. Except for when he was ‘preforming’ his musical acts in the show. He acted as a big shot pretty well, I think, mostly because he is one.

Gino and Joyce Zhao did a great job complimenting the drama as the younger brother and ‘the other woman.’ They added great drama and

Story: The whole story was brilliantly written and scripted. I loved every second, from the violence and drama to the slightly humorous scenes. I only wish the drama was longer, as the episodes don’t even hit 30 minutes long. It is a very short drama, one you could watch in a couple of hours. But it is good none-the-less. Everything was so interesting, with the Japanese and Chinese mixed together. It is definitely worth watching.

Music: The music set the mood of the scenes really well, but it isn’t anything memorable in my opinion.

Cast/Acting: Fukuda Saki, who plays Shun, was just as amazing as she was in IS: Otoko Demo Onna Demo Nai Sei. I think she was even better in this drama, with all that angst and violence. There are several scenes where she has to speak Chinese and does it really well. I loved Takeru’s character. Matsushita Yuya did a great job being the comedy of the drama. There were a few moments where I didn’t really believe him, but he still was amazing.

Story: I stumbled upon OHSHC a couple years ago, read the manga (several times over) and watched the anime. I eagerly awaited the episodes to be aired and was not disappointed. The directors and producers stuck very close to the manga and even kept the exaggerated feel, such as when Tamaki’s feelings are hurt, he is plastered to the wall in shock. You can tell that they put a lot of effort into this drama and the script.

I was a bit disappointed at how short the episodes were, and that there were only 11. However, a movie was announced during a fan meeting on August 25, 2011 and will continue off from the conclusion of the television series. The film is set to be released in March 2012.

Music: The classical inputs that they have really have that ‘royalty’ sound to it whenever it’s played. I would have liked to have seen the original theme from the anime but the new theme fit perfectly as well.

Cast/Acting: It’s not just the content of the drama that stuck close to the manga, the actors did too. Not only did they all look the part, they even acted it. When the cast was first announced I remember there was a lot of talk that Yamamoto Yusuke wasn’t fit for the role of the Prince. I believe he is the Prince. He did a wonderful job getting into his role and staying with the character, especially with all the weird expressions and voices.

I could go on and on about how each and every actor suited their roles perfectly. But that would make this review way too long. Honestly, they were all so brilliant that I’m rewatching it again.

Story: The plot sounds like a great story. It’s unique and interesting, at first.

I was thrilled that Lee Hongki was in a Japanese drama. His performance in “You’re Beautiful” was so cute and funny. I thought this drama would be similar in the sense that he plays such a cute character in both dramas and thought a funny sort of romance would blossom between the two main characters. If you are expecting that like I did, don’t. Even though there isn’t any romance in the drama. But don’t be discouraged, with the flaws there is an okay drama. It is hard to overlook the Mary Sue/Gary Stue leads (I don’t blame the actors for having bad characters). At least once, sometimes twice, an episode Ji Hoo gives this huge and inspiring speech that just lifts everyone’s spirits into the air and revives all hope that was lost. His character is just so perfect it is unbelievable. I found myself skipping past those speeches because I knew that, afterwards, that everything would be perfect again.

Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate the drama. I rather enjoyed watching the struggles of the Shiratori Wrestling Gym as they tried to overcome their debt, win the Muscle Girl Cup and help Ji Hoo find his mother, who abandoned him in Korea. There are heartfelt moments that are nice and sweet as well as moments that had me itching in anticipation and holding me in suspense. Those moments were few, but they were great.

I guess it is because this is such a happy drama, that I was kind of put off. This is a good drama to watch when you are down and looking for something cute.

Music: Only one song made an impression on me and it’s the beginning and ending theme that is sung by Lee Hong Ki himself. It’s got a nice tone to it and even though they use the song so often in the drama, I never got tired of it.

Cast/Acting: Lee Hong Ki was the best actor there. He IS the show. His emotional and facial expressions were perfect and I found myself laughing every time he was on. Despite having such a Gary Stue character. It’s because of his acting that I didn’t drop the drama. If he was not the male lead, I wouldn’t have watched it. To be honest, I don’t think Ichikawa Yui, who plays Azusa, can act at all in this drama. She did alright but everything felt forced to me. There are times where Aya Vanessa, who plays Mai a female wrestler, forced her acting as well. Most of the time she seemed so sincere it looked fake. Akai Saki, who plays Himawari, a female wrestler, was the best actress. She seemed to know how to play upset and happy without forcing it or over doing it.

Story: I rather liked this drama. At first I really hated Mei Le because of her complete Mary Sue character, but after a few episodes you come to understand she isn’t that perfect at all. She’s still all too innocent and pleasant but I came to like her later on. The drama had me going from the start, I would eagerly wait for the next episode to be subbed. The twists and turns kept me wondering what would happen next, how would they all be pushed to their limits? Until the last few episodes all the drama seemed realistic and was presented in a smooth way. Unfortunately, the last few episodes, though played out so nicely I cried several times just watching the pain Mei Le was in, was overdone. It felt like they just wanted a few more episodes to make it longer so they added something they didn’t really need. Despite that I rather liked the ending. It wasn’t one of the best endings, but was still played out nicely.

Music: The soundtrack is one of the best I’ve ever heard. Cyndi Wang is a singer so it’s no wonder they had her sing. I was really surprised to hear Mike He in the soundtrack. It’s no doubt he’s a good actor but he’s also a pretty goody singer as well.

Cast/Acting: Honestly, I think Mike had much better chemistry with Cyndi than he did with Rainie. They looked like they were a real couple with the way they would play around with each other and even when they got into fights. The relationship seemed so real between them, that when they were both in pain, it would make me want to cry. They did such a great job, it’s some of the best acting I’ve seen in a romantic comedy.

As for the supporting cast, they were alright. Not as great actors as the leads, but half way decent.

Story: The bar was set pretty high with the Korean version but this is still amazing. Personally, I think the only good looking character was Ren. I had no problem with the usual ‘Second Guy Syndrome’ in this drama because I didn’t find him attractive, at all. That doesn’t mean that they weren’t good actors, because they were. I love that they changed some things around as well. For example, in the K-version Mi Nam is trapped on the top of a moving truck. In this version Mi Nam is stuck on some construction equipment. And that there are three reporters investigating and creating disturbances instead of just one. They’re both similar but different at the same time. That might not make sense reading this, but once you watch it you’ll understand.

There wasn’t much to hate about this but there are a few things. Like how this is only eleven episodes long when the original is sixteen. This means it’s a little faster paced so sometimes it felt a little rushed.

Music: Another good OST to listen to. They recorded a Japanese version of ‘Promise’ the signature song from the Korean version which I liked because Tamamori Yuta has a great voice. There are some original songs as well that I listen to a lot.

Cast/Acting: I didn’t have many problems with the cast nor the acting. My only concern was Yaotome Hikaru, who plays Yuki, the Japanese equivalent of Jeremy. I understand they played the same part but I felt like hetried to hard to be the cutesy and childish role instead of putting himself in the role and trying to make it original. He did okay at times but I felt like he wasn’t really made for the role. As for Takimoto Miori (Mio/Miko) and Tamamori Yuta (Ren) I really fell in love with them and believed in their romance. I play the ending of the show so many times because they have undeniably good chemistry and should act in another drama together.

Story: When Park Shin Hye and Jung Yong Hwa first acted together in You’re Beautiful my heart was broken. It’s because of how sweet Yonghwa is that you want the girl to end up with him. In this drama he finally gets the girl.

It was very nice to watch him go from being cold and rude to warm and open hearted. The transformations within this drama are beautiful and heart warming. It was lovely watching old romances being rekindled and unlikely romances happening. It is all about deciding your own path and finding happiness. However, it’s not all love and sunshine. There is death, tragedy and plot twists that make you want to yell at your screen. At one point I had to stop watching for a few hours because of how intense it is.

While the story was amazing and flowed beautifully, it ended really weird. I don’t even know how to explain it. One moment everything seems messed up and then the next you’re like, “what just happened?” because you don’t even know how to explain what you saw. I don’t even know how to tell you.

Music: Probably the best music I’ve ever heard, seriously. Because this takes place at an art school everyone has musical talent and there is always some type of music playing. The singing was great but I think the best music was all the traditional music that was played. They put a slightly modern spin on it, not to mention there are times when it is played with guitars and it sounds breath taking. I own the OST not to mention I found a bunch of songs ripped directly from the show because they were that good.

Cast/Acting: I know most people ship the two main characters together first. And I do ship Park with Jung, but they weren’t my favorite couple. I liked Yeo Joon-Hee (who is played by the drummer of C.N.Blue) with Han Hee-Joo, who was an attention seeking whore determined to be in the spot light no matter what. I hated her so much at times but Joon-Hee was so sweet with her and romantic. The way he was with her, it was so sincere.

Every one did such a good job with their characters. So much that at times you literally hate them or cry.

I thought Rich Man, Poor Woman was a terrible title but I was interested in watching it as a fan of most of Oguri Shun's work and the audience feedback seemed very positive. For me, Rich Man is one of those rare Jdramas that I fall in love with and that can really make me addicted to them.

Many show and Kdramas have plots about chaebols who tend to have the same characteristics of rich and snotty, or childish and selfish. Hyuga Toru does have some of these points but he has a more fresh personality. He built the company himself, is eccentric, and has the problem of remembering faces, which all combine to make a funny, interesting, and new character. His eccentric personality truly adds a lot to his character! Oguri acts the role amazingly and has great chemistry with the female lead.

Each episode has me begging for more, which sucks cause only one ep comes out per week. The only thing I could ask more of is the plot because since the series is so short with ten eps, it lacks some "meatier" conflicts I guess. As i've seen so far, the show mainly focuses around the main leads and there's really just this one big conflict the driving the rest of the show, which is why i give a 9 for the story. But even then, the story itself is still a great one and interactions and romance between the leads are fantastic.

You should definitely watch this show because it's sure to be a good one, and it's definitely going on my list of favorites.

[edit] so the number of eps have increased from when I first reviewed this, so finger crossed for more story to the show!

If you're a swimmer then you'll definitely want to watch this movie because the pool features so predominantly it's almost another character. What I liked about this movie mainly was the music. The story is interesting but I feel that I wasn't as much into it as I should have been because I found the actors a bit too reserved and lacking in passion.
Overall it wasn't a bad movie and I don't regret watching it, but I don't think I'll feel inspired enough to re-watch it for a while.

I really liked this drama although it wasn't the best it was still touching and cute.
So I'll start with the good points: The acting was amazingly good, it was perfect, Lee Min Jung and Gong Yoo was a completely perfect couple! They all played their roles so well and I was crying in every scene they cried in :'( The character developments were really good too :)
I liked the way you would find out things slowly and not just all at once and getting to know the connections between all the characters.
Another amazing thing was the music, it fitted perfectly for every scene it played in, I loved it and once again.. I cried by the sorrowful music playing at the sad parts (gosh I think my eyes are completely dried out after all the crying.. oh and be aware, I'm a complete cry baby..) Aaah aaah! The drama is not all that sad! Its comedy after all! They always had a scene in every episode that made me laugh (well not every but most) and the beginning was hilarious ;)
Now for the bad points: Although the story was very interesting I think it was too long to keep it up for 16 episodes (well they could've made it more interesting and slower through the end..) I think it was all too rushed and a bit confusing.. :/ I think the only problem really with this drama is the script, if the scrip would've been a bit different it could all have turned into an outstanding drama!
Overall, the story was interesting but could've been scripted better, the misunderstandings, cast, music and the cute & touching parts were all good. Its not a bad drama but its not perfect either considering from all hundred other dramas I've watched I think this one is pretty decent ;)

I downloaded RP some weeks ago, after that I decided to watch it. I was a little bit sceptical about watching RP, after I read some of the reviews and comments on it. But I found some comments about the romance -- which was definitely worth it. I've read the synopsis over and over again, I've practically lost count.

The acting is nothing spectacular, is simply cute and funny. The strong point of RP is the romance. The romance is really cute, that you would wish to have such a romance ---- I'm still a little dreamy about the romance between Angela Chang and Wu Zhun. Some characters were well developed.

The OSTs were great also... After I finish writing this review, I'm off to download the OSTs. It's worth it. The only issue I have with RP is the ending, the ending wasn't satisfactory enough, some few mins would have done the trick.

In other words, it's a drama coupled with comedy, comical acting and romance and you will surely have a good laugh, that I'm 100% sure of.

It is with deep regret that I write this review. The Hong Sister's are awesome at dramas, and when I found out about Big I could barely contain myself. The cast set up was fantastic - The chemistry between Gong Yoo & Lee Min Jung is too hot for words. The supporting cast was just as enticing. The acting was on point and that's not what I have an issue with. The problem is the sloppy writing here. The story started off great, I couldn't get enough of it. Then I was left dumbfounded, confused and excuse me, pissed off. It was too rushed. We didn't get any answers, we were left hanging. By the end, I was forcing myself to sit there. To the very last moment, I was looking for something to happen that could make up for all the flaws this drama had. Left, let down. I'd recommend something that shows just how awesome the Hong Sister's are: Greatest Love, You're Beautiful, My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, among others. Skip.

This is a great drama with very strong characters.

To be honest I only started watching it because I read that the story would revolve a lot around the eldest son, who is in a gay relationship. I found this fascinating, seeing as it's a korean drama. The writers did a great job on that part, depicting the family's perspective and the couples perspective and how they each deal with this issue.

It was also interesting to see the interactions between the different generations of this huge family who all live together in one house.

What kept me watching was the great acting (especially song chang ui who plays the eldest son and kim hae sook who plays his stepmom)the amazing story, and also the amazing surroundings (jeju island).
Because it's quite a long drama you get to know each of the family members very well and you really feel the amazing bond that's between them.

I cried a lot, but I laughed too and watching it was an overall heartwarming experience!

I believe that the cast really needed to improve their acting skills or rather should I say, they should of put more feelings into someone of the senses they played that needed that powerful emotional expression. I mean I've read the manga and when I compare someone of the senses I would definitely say that he manga gave out more emotions (if the mades sense lol). But anyways I still really like this drama a lot, it was cute and had two hot guys lol oh and I gotta say I cried a lot in this drama.
