a surprise xianxia!

I started this without knowing anything about it, had no clue who the actors were...and wow! easily became one of my top favs. it has all the elements of true love storyline, lots of sweet and romantic scenes of the main leads, and best of all, the CGI/action scenes were well done, nothing cringey or cheesy...! the overall arc was interesting, the pace of the series was perfect and the side characters were not wasteful/forgetful. the awesome OST was the cherry on top. i've rewatched this series 3 times now- it has been a long time since a series got me this addicted. i am a happy viewer.

not great- but good and entertaining

I thought the series started out slow- i wasn't on "binge mode" with this series and was just watching it as my time were available during the 1st half of the series- it wasn't until the second half of the series when the story pace picked up and it became really interesting. The ending gave me a lasting impression on this series- i did memorized about it for a few more days after finishing it.

i enjoyed the ML and FL chemistry and i was rooting for them both. the overall storyline was ok- there were loopholes and many things weren't clarified well enough- maybe lazy writers or bad story editing/maybe budget issues- overall, i didn't mind it since the ML and FL didn't become annoying or ridiculous.

didn't really enjoyed it-

i was hoping to like this series- but it fell flat for me. I ended up dropping this series and couldn't finish. I couldn't get attached to the FL and her journey. each time she's tries to solve a case, she's captured or passed out and when she wakes up...she's in a a diff outfit/female clothing...like the bad guys changed her everytimes she blacked out...?! huh?

The ML is good but as he continues to grow his relationship with the FL...i can't help but see the comparison of his head size next to the FL. with each new episode goes by..his head seems to be bigger and bigger next to her and it became a visual problem for me. They didn't seem to match well or look compatible to me. I got disconnected with their chemistry and didn't feel it.

This series is definitely lighthearted and not as realistic- if you want a drama to fill in a gap while you're waiting on a completion or another drama- or a hangover drama (one you want to watch while you're trying to get over another one) i would say give it a try- it wasn't my cup of tea but i didn't feel like i wasted my time to give it a shot.
