I am so glad that I took the time to watch this. I am incredibly thankful for so many things that I had taken for granted before watching this. This story is moving, heartbreaking, and humbling. Yes, you will cry - a lot. But don't let that scare you away. The acting was phenomenal. By the time I got to the last episode, I actually had to remind myself that the lead actress wasn't really experiencing the disease. I think stories like this are really hard to do without overacting in some way. I don't have any prior knowledge of what Aya had, but the portrayal was so well done that I never even though to question it. The rest of the family did a great job to in that they dealt with their grief in a realistic way. The music really kept the tone. It fit so well with the story and never once took away from a scene. I think if I ever hear any of these songs again I'll probably start to cry. I don't know if I could re-watch this. Maybe in a couple years or so? The story is so powerful and so incredibly heart wrenching that I don't think I could handle it again any time soon. I'm sure that the show is quickly loosing appeal do to all this mentioning of crying (not just my review, but everyone else's too). So if you're looking for a lighthearted, feel-good romcom, this is not for you. Watch it when you're ready, and looking for some perspective, courage, or strength.
