The only non-adult drama I’ve seen since Heirs (which I hated) and it is my absolute favorite from all of those. The story touched on subjects like corruption, power abuse, bullying, teenage suicide, parents-kids pressure, first love and friendship. It’s a high school dorama, but it’s not silly and the acting is supreme. The main actors are all great (no one has any right to doubt Eunji ever, but I didn't know she was an idol at the time and I was so surprised), and Kim Yeol’s smile was my ruin for the whole thing. It is a coming of age tale, and it's sweet, fun and adorable. I cried in a lot of episodes, I laughed a lot and had my heart melted the same amount of times. I wasn’t expecting such quality in a high school drama, to be honest, and I was delighted with the result. This show has a very strong Hearstrings vibe (my all time school drama favorite), but it doesn’t have plotholes nor a slow and then rushed storyline. The pace is great, the storyline makes sense and the feelings are all (bitter)sweet. Even the antagonist is relatable, even though she can be cruel. They are just kids, after all. I finished this so fast, and then got sad because I had nothing similar to watch, but I’ll probably watch it again soon, same way I did with heartstrings. It’s worth it.
