seriously, this drama has me in a chokehold, and i'm only three episodes in. THREE! if it’s already this wild, i can’t imagine what’s coming next.

the action uh 🙄 it's off the charts. every fight scene, every move feels like it could break your screen. gamin’s not just throwing punches; he's putting on a full-on performance. the slow-motion shots? chef’s kiss. idc if it’s exaggerated or over the top,it works. and it’s pure adrenaline.😂😭

then there’s the humor. gamin, the guy who’s terrible at studying but won’t stop trying, is just hilarious. he’s got tutors, online lessons, and he’s even taking notes during church sermon and while pooping lmao... like, bro, you’re trying so hard but still failing 🤓i’m wheezing 😭

oh, and the music. "backpackers" is straight-up a bop. gunwook and matthew killed it with the track. it’s just the right vibe for this high-energy show..pumps up every scene 🔥

andd haha the show’s pacing is like a roller coaster. i mean 40 minute episodes should NOT fly by this quickly 🤷🏻‍♀️ one minute, you’re deep in the drama, and the next, the screen is asking if you want to watch the next episode. study group knows how to keep you on edge.

i can’t get enough of the overall vibe of this drama. it’s got everything - a perfect mix of humor, action, and heart. it reminds me of boyhood and whc1 and this drama is more fun, less gritty, and equally satisfying. the characters might be trying to survive school, but they’re also thriving in bringing something new to the screen.

final rating? 1000000/10. no questions, just pure hype. if you haven’t started watching yet, you’re missing out BIG time.

A Show That Brought Endless Laughter & Warmth

I can’t put into words how much happiness this show has brought me. For the past four weeks, this show has been my little escape, something I eagerly waited for every Friday. Kyungsoo and Kwangsoo’s chemistry, their laughter, and their moments of pure chaos made my days so much brighter. I’m truly grateful that this show happened- it gave me some of the best memories of 2025 so far. Thank you to everyone who made it possible. I’ll be patiently waiting for the special behind the scenes episode, and I really, really hope we get a season 2. Until then, thank you for all the laughter and warmth. ✨🥔🥔✨

sold my soul to this drama and bai jingting, no regrets

i am only two episodes in but i am already completely hooked. this drama is everything, comforting, beautifully shot, and so effortlessly captivating. the pacing, the cinematography, the warmth in every scene, it all just pulls you in. i’m watching this at 1x speed, savoring every single moment, not skipping anything because every second is worth it.

the ost feels like a warm hug, so soothing and perfectly woven into the story. the chemistry between the leads is just chef’s kiss. bai jingting is a gem, an absolute scene stealer, and ruonan is so stunning and expressive. their performances feel so natural, so immersive.

this drama carries a different tone from hidden love but in the best way possible. where hidden love felt like sunshine this one has a deeper, more emotional pull, yet both capture love in such a heartfelt, beautiful way. honestly, this might be one of the best novel adaptations i’ve ever seen. everything about it just works, and i already know it’s going to stay with me long after it ends. 🥹🫶🏽

Last few episodes were full of cringe but I liked what the writer wanted to show us through this.

So, before the release of this drama, when I saw the teasers of it, I was really looking forward to watching it.
I enjoyed watching the first half of the drama.
"The story of all the people who clean up artists' messes, without getting tired/having any breaks/having any complaints, they think of nothing but their artists and try their best to protect them", all of them showed it in the show, well done for that .... Also, that rich lady worker (who represented sasaengs, if i am right) she was really scary...i mean her character scared me too much (i am watching her in. "the eve's scandal" currently) she is playing her character well :D
I had watched almost 8 episodes and then I regretted watching it at the end. It's obv not the fault of the cast 🙄 they did their best but after episode 7/8, almost everything was full of cringe especially Gong Tae Sung's lines, his lame expressions and the things he did to her before he used to date her...that was scary dayum...that was creepy and that was sexual assault:| and i hated it there...it became boring to me after episode 7...Hanbyul didn't stand out most of the times....and that's bcs of lazy script writing... I had really high expectations with her character and this one really disappointed me, I started watching the drama bcs of her, alas.

I predicted that Yu-sung and Hoyoung would end up together, that was okay though ,,(hashtagofficeromance), same with Gong's secratary jungyeol ....but what's with kippeum and the lawyer gosh!! Okay...they fell in love but what happened in the ending episode...what wasssss thaaaat omghawddd XD that almost made me want to puke...Imo, Jaehyun and Yuna were the only non-cringey couple in this show + Actor Yu-sung omg I hope he gets more and more and more + good roles in future, he's such a GREAT ACTOR....and i heard he's an idol too, he's handsome, has a great voice and acts really well.

I couldn't help but watch it (not bcs i was curious) but bcs I was halfway there and I have this habit of not leaving the drama once i have started watching it...I HAVE TO WATCH THEM UNTIL THE END...and despite of all that cringe, I kept watching (at 1.5x) to see if they show anything interesting but that didn't happen (the script of the 2nd half was lazily written) ...I definitely wouldn't recommend it to people who haven't watched it or are planning to watch it. I hope more shows like this are made (excluding all the cringe that i saw in this one)... I've been watching dramas for last 7 years now and I really don't want people to waste their time on this...just my opinion, it's upto y'all in the end. Do whatever you like besties . 💟

Feels like I am bidding farewell to my old friends.

Just concluded my journey with Potato Star, and it's hard to encapsulate the myriad of emotions stirred by the final episode on this 29th of January, 2024. This Korean sitcom has been a constant companion in my life for over a year, weaving its narrative threads into moments between exams and becoming a part of my routine.

Over the span of 120 episodes, each lasting 30-35 minutes, I became deeply connected with the characters, making the farewell feel akin to parting ways with cherished friends. Despite my typical struggle with longer series, Potato Star defied expectations, its engaging storyline making every episode a worthwhile investment of time.

The ending, though laden with sadness and heartbreak, left a lasting impact, prompting me to assign the drama a 9 out of 10. The poignant conclusion added a layer of complexity to the narrative, and while it wasn't a perfect resolution, it undeniably contributed to the overall depth of the story.

Acknowledging the exceptional production quality, I find myself at the crossroads of satisfaction and nostalgia as I bid adieu to this captivating chapter. It's been a journey marked by emotions, making the experience of Potato Star a truly immersive and unforgettable ride!

EXCELLENT!!!!

Finished the drama in 3 days. The ending was so heartwarming. I love how everyone on the bus had a good ending. This drama is definitely worth the watch. I initially thought it'd be boring because it's the same scene over and over, but it was actually so well written that it didn't seem that way at all. The suspense was crazy even though I watched it after it all came out.

This drama gave a really big life lesson to the audience that we should never forget the impact of the comments we leave on social media, just because they won't know the identity of the person behind the screen, we should be responsible for whatever comments we leave behind on the internet.Perverts should be reported and moreover it would do a lot of good to have someone help the victim in that situation.

I was hoping we could get to see more happy moments of our Xiao HeYun & Li ShiQing at the ending ಥ⁠_⁠ಥ but we were robbed.
I am currently watching Bai Jingting in one more drama called "You are my hero" and he is slaying his role there as well. Both dramas are highlyyyyuu recommended (10/10). I wish I had the power to erase some of my memories and that way I could watch this drama for the first time again hehe. The female lead was just 19 (her and me are born in same year) and she is such a gem of an actor, I will make sure to check her other works.

NOBODY ASKED BUT-

I am shedding tears right now. I feel as if someone was spying on me and told my story to then world lol. I felt as if I was Won Jun/Doona. I could relate to their story so much that I cried to sleep and I am writing this while crying lmao.


As for the ending, I am not a fan of open endings.

In my mind though they end up together, from the last dialogue of Doona telling him to say sorry and then to tell her that he regrets it. The rest is just montages of them in their lives but the theory is good that they have to keep away from each other as she is an idol.

Obviously the Japan stuff in the beginning of last two episodes shows they at least arrange to meet again in the future multiple times.


Imo, this was Suzy's best performance so far. Sejong did justice to his conflicted, restrained, self conscious, shy character too.
