Drama that makes one SHRIEK with excitement
Picture this- a family of 4 getting together every Wednesday night to watch the newest episodes of Moving. That's what my family did all the way till the final ep. Every ep made us excited for the next and it was just THAT GOOD. The series made us cry, laugh, smile and gasp throughout.
Story: 10/10
AMAZINGLY TOLD. The screenwriter, Kang Full, is the same person who created the webtoon. He not only told the story authentically, followed his source material, but also revamped certain aspects and made the show so much more appealing. To have this much insight and direction of how to tell the story behind SO many characters is remarkable. A 20 ep drama covering a 45 chp webtoon was paced so well. Every ep had aspects to pull you to watch the next. This is a MUST WATCH for everyone.
Acting/Cast: 10/10
Just how did they cast the characters so well!! All the actors and actresses did such a terrific job. Ryu Seung Ryong made my entire family sob with his excellent performance- moved to absolute tears. Of course, everyone did exceptionally but I do have my favourites. Lee Jung Ha will be on my watchlist- he was adorable and such a likeable presence in the show.
Music: 10/10
The sound design and music matched all scenes very well. There were no instances where I felt they were forcing the audience to feel emotions with just music alone. The scenes and acting themselves were so well done that the music truly served to enhance and make everything so much better. Sound design was also great- fight scenes were all the more brutal and realistic with it!
Rewatch: 10/10
Going back, I can appreciate the amount of details added to the show. Everything was just so well thought out, that there are things only to be spotted when you go back to rewatch. The visuals of the show also make it worth to go back to.
Overall: 10/10
It might just be my favourite show of 2023. Recommended to all ages above 15. This season was complete and satisfying alone, but they did start a few more plot strings to get the audience hyped for Season 2. Hence, I still urge for anyone who hasn't watched to WATCH NOW.
