I’m surprised that this doesn’t have a much higher rating. It is a 15 minute, 20 episode simple story, that’s like a breeze to watch. No overly complicated plots, no annoying antagonists, just a story about two clueless people whose lives couldn’t be any more different find themselves in a blossoming love story. Choi Se Hoon is portrayed here as a narcissist, and Jung Il Woo played him so well. His narcissistic character was very consistent throughout the story, unlike Park Seo Joon’s Lee Young Joon in What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim in which his narcissistic character was poorly written. I do not agree with the nay sayers who complain that the story is chiche, I say, the way the story played out, the acting, their lines and the interactions were far from it.
JIW is a very good comedic actor, he has good comedic timing, he especially plays eccentric/looney characters so well. He doesn’t look like he’s trying too hard and he isn’t over acting it. However, I cannot say the same for the female lead, she wasn’t stand out at all. But this drama is worth the watch even if it’s just for the character Choi Se Hoon and his scenes with Section Chief Heo and his psychiatrist, Jong Hyun. Heo is so loveable. He badmouths Choi Se Hoon so much, but takes care of him so much more. Such a loyal sidekick. Their interactions are so fun to watch.
