This had a lot of potential, but the execution didn't come through here.Apparently, serial killer guy is in love with the MC. But I don't see how. She's beautiful, intelligent and straight-forward -- sure, but they only met once before he falls in love with her. Their communication is super short - only a few lines of dialogue. They needed to spend some more time making his love believable. Like him being interested in the person who made this app he uses to find his victims, learns about her and then finally meets and falls in love with her. But nope. No build-up whatsoever.
There's nothing deep here. Sometimes it doesn't make sense who he chooses to kill and who he chooses to let go. Why some of the women would meet up with some random person they only talked to once online in some SUPER secluded place, out in the boonies or a building at night.
Almost every woman in this story happens to be a horndog, including the MC. Nothing wrong with that but ALMOST EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM throwing caution to the wind for it? Makes absolutely no sense.
The shaman is also random, and I feel is out of left field for the story. Nice having a LGBT character and all, but the shaman thing is still random.
I'm generally a fan of Netflix Kdramas, but I didn't vibe with this one at all.

Get you a girl who looks at you the way Miyuki looks at Ai.
Give the girls a gold medal for facial expressions. My god the way they look each other deserve a 10/10. I rarely ever see actors look at each other the way that they do especially Ai. Ai will switch between looking at Miyuki like “this girl is so pure and genuine” to “I’m not supposed to like this girl”. It’s great, sweet and also kinda funny because Ai’s subconscience and body were always at least 10 steps ahead of her realizing her own feelings. With that said, I am dinging this 1.5 points. Cheating is so rampant in Asian GL dramas. I don’t know why that is, and I don’t think I will ever come to accept or understand it (sans only a few reasons) especially when the guy is nice and has done nothing to deserve it. If the guy was a girl, I don’t think anyone else in the GL crowd would either. But for some reason, when it’s a guy getting cheated on, that doesn’t seem to bother anyone.
1 point for the cheating and 0.5 points for intending to play with someone’s feelings, because they are dating your crush. I didn’t go off a full point and will attritube it to Ai still growing and maturing. Perhaps at her age, she’s still self-absorbed and not really thinking about others yet. But this is fiction, so I guess it makes for a good plot device and angle for character development? In real life, I hope no one justifies playing with other people’s feelings with age. Emotional scars, while unseen, can lasts a lifetime just like physical ones.
Big ups to Japan for coming back to the GL scene after so long. I wasn’t expecting much from Hiraite especially given the plot synopsis, but I’m pleasantly surprised. Wish they could have joined hands with Netflix or similar for more international exposure though. I’m sure many of us have been waiting for something like this from Japan for a while now. Almost on par with OG Transit Girls imho. They were really close. Looking forward to more from Japan.

If Thai dramas continue to be more progressive, I’m probably going to be watching a lot more. Couple 1 – Probably one of the more healthier lakorn couples. TRUST, open communication, not keeping secrets without telling the other why, patience, understanding, respecting each other’s choices. It was refreshing and a joy watching them maintain and grow their relationship through all the obstacles. Plus, they’re super sweet.
Couple 2 – I lived for their character development. Fah is my favorite character by far. I usually only watch dramas when there’s at least one prominent strong and intelligent female in the story, and Fah fit that bill perfectly and MORE. An intelligent and hard working character, who is not without her faults, but is open to learning from her mistakes and others, establishes boundaries and doesn’t take shit from anyone including the person she loves. Hiran, boy, I did not expect the way his story arc went, and it’s the greatest thing ever.
For me, I did not like this drama in the beginning. I wanted to bitch slap practically everyone especially the main leads for their irrationality, stupidity and or weakness. But then there would be really promising scenes that made me stick it through, and damn, I’m so glad I stuck with this. From episode 7 on, it was worth it. They really needed the first half of the drama to set things up for the last half, because that last half went all out. In a good way.

The story is about two generation of gay females – specifically the aunt and niece. Where the aunt grew up in a generation that is less accepting, the niece grew up in a more accepting environment. I really like and appreciate the way the drama explores how that affected each of them and how one was able to help the other gradually be herself and pursue what made her happy.
All the main characters got their spotlight. Had their own personalities and charms. They made me smile and giggle a hell of a lot. I love all the couples.
For a drama that runs for a little over an hour, they did a really great job tying the three couples together into the main story.
The ending is one of the best.

There were so many things they did right here. Acting – the best all across the board including and ESPECIALLY the supporting characters. All the characters are so outrageous and ridiculous. I love them. They really put the characters into good use here. Each had a purpose and an opportunity to shine in their own ways. The way the story unfolded with just enough drama and mystery to keep you hooked wondering who did it and why.
Everything wrapped up really well by the end.

I can’t rate this higher though, because I wasn’t really into the rest of the episodes leading up to it.
The het romance didn’t really work for me until the very end. She was 16/17 and the guy is mid to late 20s. At the time, she really had a kiddish, innocent to the world, vibe, and him an uncle vibe. Their chemistry most of the time really was that of a kind adult and the kid next door dynamic. In the end, we’re fast forward 3 years. She’s almost 20 and in university. So it’s kinda more doable then. Their bickering is cute and hilarious.
The second BL couple is cute. I think the BL crowd will be fairly happy with them. They’re both great guys who grew together through the things that were happening in their life and families.
Pepo did a really amazing job as the antagonist here.
As with the previous stories in the My Sassy Princess series, this one also carries its own message in the importance of family. Our family may set rules that may seem unreasonable to us sometimes, but most of the time, it’s because they care and worry about us.
Really great series from One31 and looking forward to their future ones. They’re really bringing it in 2023.

Story centers around Punpun. She wants to be an idol, but her dad wants her to be a doctor. Her family is super sweet and supportive. They try to hide her competing to be an idol from her dad. And so she's struggling to balance her time between studying for exams to enter med school, competing and having a girlfriend. It's not easy at all.
Punpun and Itim are the cutest ever. Their relationship feels so sweet and natural. I like how they both had their own lives and dreams that they were pursuing while balancing being in each other's life. I feel like what happens with them is very realistic, and the way they handled things was quite healthy and mature given their circumstances.
Itim means "ice cream". So that's why you see that ice cream icon next to her name.
The story itself is about 80 minutes long, so the length of a movie split into two episodes. Tbh I like the split in that it gave me enough time to digest the set up in the first episode in order to fully appreciate what happens in the second. There is enough story in this to have been a series, but we take what we can get. 80 minutes is pretty great, too. I was totally immersed with Punpun's struggles, her cute family and GIRLFRIEND.
The OST totally has me hugging my pillow from the cuteness. It fits the story so well.
"Just the way you are.
Just that.
Just follow your heart.
You'll always have me.
Ready to be by your side."
I'm DYINGGGGGGG.
ENDING
If anyone is confused about the ending, don't be. What Gramma says about her relationship with Gramps is meant to foreshadow Punpun and Itim's relationship.

Fun watch that didn’t really drag much. It follows your typical revenge drama formula with some focus on acupuncture and herbal medicine used as the MC's weapons of choice. The main character, Phing, is very likeable and you feel the pain and anguish she goes through from being conned and then left for dead with her loved ones. I was totally absorbed in her quest for revenge. For me, the best part was watching the baddies eventually back stab each other as Phing set up her traps for them. Watching them suffer is satisfying, ok lol. Some characters I felt like got off way too easy for what they did, but in 12 episodes, the writers did their best with them.
Loved the ending. It’s like finally being able to exhale after watching Phing go through so much shit and being patronized along the way. A story can’t be good without having an MC I can be invested in, and Phing is a fantastic MC.
Doesn’t hurt that the supporting characters and especially the actors playing the bad guys brought their A-game, too. Art, Bee N, Victor and Duangta all slayed in their roles.

Truly a modernized retelling of Cinderella. What a pleasant surprise.
From the beginning and almost all the way to the end, I thought this was the typical Thai drama toned down to fit a younger demographic and with the formulaic Cinderella story. Rich guy falls for poor girl, and his mom is disapproving b/c she's poor. You know the drill. Nothing new. But I stuck with it, because I wanted something light to watch.Let me tell you they MISLED me, and that makes me happy lol.
The ending totally surprised me. Never would I have thought a Thai drama would go with the ending Glass Slippers did and especially for a teen drama. What a wonderful message they are sending to today's youth. I won't say what that message is. You'll have to watch this to find out.
Although the ending is different from the typical Thai romance dramas, I think most people will still approve and be fairly happy with it.
Looking forward to seeing what they do with the rest of the stories.
Bravo to One31. They are on a roll with how much more progressive their dramas are.

Right in time for Mother’s Day. If you’re looking for something to watch that will pull at your heartstrings, this is it. It might be a little difficult to watch Mai and Rin’s struggles at times, but you’ll want to stay and watch just how far their determination and perseverance takes them. Also, they are not without the kindness of others in their journey. While these people stay in both mom and daughter’s life for varying lengths of time, they leave lasting impressions that would help them through, even long after they’re gone.
I can’t express how much I appreciate the time and effort that went into this. The direction, storyline, instrumentals, the cast, etc. It’s like they went through every aspect of this story with a fine tooth comb until they were satisfied with the results.

I feel like the story was mostly about a mentally unstable woman who throughout the story, became increasingly more so. In bits and pieces, we get glimpses into what’s happened in her past to make her this way. And in her mental instability, she hurts the person she cares about the most, thinking she is doing what is best for that person.
I think if the story was better presented than her being an obsessive, crazy woman going on a rampage against everyone who dares to help Sai escape from her, the story would have been more palatable. I think they tried, but the delivery just wasn’t quite there for me personally.
The last two episodes tie in everything pretty well. I originally gave this a 5 rating due to the earlier ending spoiler, but I’m changing that, because I’m ok with the end they eventually go with. I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it either.
Cris nailed this role.
Zani slays the OST as always. The lyrics to the OST does an exceptional job of embodying Rungrong.
The cast did a wonderful job.

“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.” - Toon“You didn’t do anything wrong. Since you were a kid, I’ve always known you weren’t a girl. You don’t have to apologize for being who you are. From now on, I just want you to be happy.” – Toon’s aunt
This is a very emotional watch, but it’s worth it.
What I like most about this story is the way Toon talks about the important people in his life. The way that although their beliefs, misunderstandings and choices hurt him, he always tries to understand them. This really speaks volumes about the type of person he is. It’s probably why I cried so much watching the things he had to go through. The rude and insensitive questions he answered to in a calm and patient manner no matter how much they hurt him.
I also like the asexual story arc. Since I didn’t watch the trailer for this and the synopsis doesn’t mention it, I totally was not expecting it and was pleasantly surprised. Their story is similar to the one in Friend Zone with the difference that there’s a generational gap I think? The one in this story are still in school whereas the one in Friend Zone are already working.
There’s also another couple here. Not in the synopsis and again, I don’t know if they are in the trailer. Their confidence, maturity and especially sass are particularly refreshing and super cute.
I really like this story, and I feel like I learned a lot from it. And now that I know what to expect, I can watch it again sans the crying. For 15 mins or so, I could only hear what was happening and couldn’t really see. So it would be nice to actually see those scenes now.

Promising storyline with some loopholes. Phenomenal supporting cast.
The supporting characters actually outshined the main characters here, and the actors who played them did a phenomenal job. You will HATE and be DISGUSTED with them, but there’s no denying the actors who brought them to life especially the actor who plays Nawin. Watch it through to the end, and you’ll know what I mean. This drama could have easily been a 10/10. The storyline was there with a fairly liked cast, but there was just so many inconsistent loopholes and things that just didn’t make sense that turned me off especially when it comes to Prae. She was such a big part of the story, but the way her character reacted to what happened to her is like the writers didn’t do their research to what psychologically happens to people who have gone through the things Prae has.
I honestly stuck through this, because I wanted to know what happens to the bad guys, and they delivered on that in the most satisfying way. Had they not, I would have felt like watching this drama was a complete waste of my time. Somewhere along the way, I couldn't be bothered with the main leads anymore. It was like watching a love story between 2 rocks. The male lead being dumb for a good majority of it. The female lead falling for him made zero sense to me. I found the second couple much more interesting and whose story arc should have been a bit longer.
Unfortunately, they saved every good thing about the drama for the big reveal in the end while not doing well executing the path along the way.

“I was scared of the backlash that would follow until one day, I was more afraid that I wouldn’t be able to pursue my dream. It’s been 3 years since I decided to have a family in the way that I want, and I’m still fighting, learning and growing. For everyone who’s still afraid, I hope it will soon turn into courage.” – NoonSo much of our lives are lived in a way that we were taught to believe would lead to a morally acceptable and happy life. Even when we do exactly those things and are unhappy, instead of thinking maybe there is something wrong with what we were taught, we instead think there is something wrong with us. This is what Thongkwao’s story is about and how she begins to break out of that mold to be herself and find her true happiness.
Definitely consider watching this if you’re LGBT+. If you’re not, still consider watching if you’re up for opening your heart and mind to see and understand the stories of people who don’t fit into society’s mold but are still good people who aren’t hurting anyone by being themselves and who want to be happy just like everyone else.

This was a hard watch. In this story, the MC goes through three unhealthy relationships.
In the first part of the story, we are introduced to her parents and get a glimpse into possibly why Luktan stays in unhealthy relationships. One reason possibly being that she's never known what a healthy relationship should look like in the first place. Her parents, the people who should love and want what's best for her? They think two people of the same gender being in love is wrong and disgusting. Most importantly, what would people say or think of them, if they find out their child was gay? They would rather their only child marry the guy who tried to rape her, because hey, at least he is a guy.
Never, not once, did they ask what made their child happy. What was more important to them was how others would perceive them. That is the "love" that Luktan grew up with. So is it any surprise that when someone shows Luktan kindness and affection that she's unable to leave them, when they repeatedly show her reasons why she shouldn't stay? No, not at all. It was even sadly predictable.
Luktan's only lifeline to any semblance of genuine love is her childhood friend. The person who is always there to support and catch her when she falls. And she falls a hell of a lot, too. The friendship is what made this story shine. They are the epitome of soulmates, albeit not in a romantic sense.
In the end, I wish the message was different. I might be wrong but to me, the message I got was "to not lose hope and the right person will come one day". I think it's far more important for Luktan to love herself first and not feel like a "jigsaw" puzzle with a missing piece. Because when she truly loves herself, she will be able to walk away from people who aren't good for her sooner. Because then, she would know that she deserves better.
