Hidden Agenda so far is actually okay, a typical enemies to lover story. Plot is quite guessable which loses some originality. Hopefully, there will be some fresh takes to the plot and be more enjoyable. JoongDunk are actually very interesting and there are potential to see how they will continue to develop their feelings and chemistry. Dunk’s character, Zo, is a bit shy but he just needs that little push to do it, with the help of Joke (Joong) and a little bit more than that, who knows what will happen between them.
Ahh.. JoongDunk are really cute, there chemistry definitely improved. They are really sweet and gives me butterflies for sure. The relationship is progressing very well so far and I can see that they are enjoying it too.
Mature communication leads to healthy relationships
As the couples continues to develop, it has more realistic touch to it. The quality of the conversation was good as it was more mature and honest. They help each other overcome their insecurities. AouBoom is also very cute during EP 4 and they really deserve to be main leads in a series soon.
It’s better than I thought it would be, but it’s really similar to Star in My Mind. I enjoy JoongDunk chemistry so much, their chemistry just comes out naturally and doesn’t feel cringe. They are just there for a each other, a perfect match. Their conversations help them understand about themselves and each other. JoongDunk continues using sunflower as their symbol of connection, from a sunflower pot in SIMM to a keychain and pillow here in HA was a good choice. “Sunflower: liveliness sprung from despair.” “There may be an equation to a relationship. But romantic feelings are involved, it gets complicated.” The scene where Joke trying to force Zo to try new food is also a good lesson. Setting boundaries and respect other people’s choices is important. Talking about it can help establish a healthy relationship. “Whether we’re friends or something else, it’s always good to communicate when something upsets you.” -ZoNow for Nita part, the stalker part came out of nowhere and it was poorly fit into the plot. I understand the idea but can be better executed. But I like how Joke explains everything to Zo to avoid misunderstanding.(The stalker of Nita was really creepy though, the scene where Joke protects Nita was so satisfying and Joong did a good job with it.)Zo’s decision to talk to Nita was a smart choice. Zo needs to come clear with his feelings before moving on. Nita is so considerate and supports JokeZo, she gives real advice. “I’ve come to realise that the sunflower means more than just sitting around and waiting. It’s about steadiness, patience, loyalty, and a commitment to always be there.“ -ZoAouBoom, I need more screen time of them for sure. They look so matching and cute. They really deserve to be main leads in a series soon. Can’t believe they are already boyfriends in the series! It’s EP 6 right now but JokeZo already look and act like married couple. 6 more episodes to go, can’t wait to see what else the story can be developed more. Hope they explain what the Hidden Agenda is. My guess is that Zo’s friends and others know that Joke likes Zo and help them get together. Hidden Agenda is becoming my comfort zone and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.
JokeZo are so cute or should I say JoongDunk are too cute to handle.
I have a lot of mixed feelings towards this episode. There are many cute little moments which I enjoy and a bunch of teasing from each other!! JoongDunk excels as portraying their chemistry and it’s pleasant to watch. That ending kiss with the tease! Jeng and Pok (AouBoom), their relationship didn’t look as healthy as I thought, Pok wants their relationship to be open but Jeng is concern about it. However, their kiss was so cute! Hopefully, they actually talk about it and work it out. They introduced Zo’s ex-crush Puen, I feel like it’s weird but at the same time needed. I think this is one of the things that Zo need to let go to fully love Joke. Joke being jealous but still letting things sorted out was a good move. “Forgiving and rebuilding friendship are two separate matters.” -ZoLooking at the preview of EP 8, is the stalker back?? Joke got pictures of him and Zo, receiving unknown calls. Zo got a new friend? Will see… Joong and Dunk said EP 8 is their favourite so let’s hope there’s some interesting story going on next week. (Side note: I don’t know why I feel like parts of this week’s episode looks too bright. Is it just me??)
A ton of things happened this episode, and I’ll start with Jeng and Pok first. Sigh.. the more I look, the more I feel bad for their relationship. Jeng gave his Instagram to some girls back in EP 6 and they decided to text him, but he replied with “how could I forget?” He also denied having a boyfriend back then and continues to keep his relationship with Pok secret. Both of them need to have a real talk as I’ve previously mentioned on EP 7’s review and need to be REAL honest to solve this major problem. We can see Pok acting he’s fine but he’s not even a bit.Moving on to the stalker part. It was so unnecessary and they resolved it in just 1 episode. Is it even worth it? Poom, the stalker, did prank calls, send photos of Joke with Nita and Zo to him. Joke didn’t even care himself first and rushed to find Zo. That punch from Joke was so good and satisfying when Poom got caught. Joke is always slightly overprotective but this time I love the way when Zo wants to hang out with Poom and Joke asked is the friend trustworthy. Zo, why are you telling others where your spare keys are when you are not even that close with them. There are cute moments throughout this episodes which I enjoyed. From Joke loving to kiss and hug Zo to Zo trying to bite Joke. Fluffiness overloaded. AJ and Louis! They are so funny, not them imitating the hug to tease Zo. Oh my gosh, the ending of this episode was just stunning. The NC scene was done well. Their chemistry was well delivered. I can feel the intensity and love through their eyes. Can’t believe that it is Zo’s first time. Dunk, who is 185cm and is a big guy but can still be carried by Joong like a tiny baby!! He also got a hickey after he finish filming this episode!!More drama are happening as we can see at the preview of EP 9, and I’m getting more and more confusing with it. Didn’t Zo already know that Joke likes him from the beginning and did everything to get closer to him. Did their relationship started with a lie? Jeng and Pok, their relationship is going downhill, we’ll see what’s the main cause of it soon. (Dunk also accidentally called Joong instead of Joke at 4:30 Part 1 lol)
I decided to put these 2 episodes together because they focus on just one issue, family. They fixed one issue and decided to create another one, I don't mind but why can't they just put it all together, it just feels kind of choppy from episode to episode. As EP 10 begins, I can already feel the tension between Zo and his mom when they talk about Zo's academics and debate club. As a teacher herself, she already suggested training on debate topics to make sure Zo wins. "Zo isn't my student, but he's my son. I am a Thai language teacher. If he lost? How could I face my class? Can't you see?" -Mom. She began putting pressure on Zo which is not a good thing. On the other hand, Zo's father was very kind, talked to him and comforted him. The dad is a safe space for Zo and makes him feel better. Zo's mom uses her students to put more pressure on him to not lose or else she would be embarrassed and disappointed. Joke also sensed the problem of Zo not feeling well and something was bothering him. Zo is scared about her mom and not being able to do well. The childhood trauma that Zo faces as well as the debate topic Zo's mom suggested was heartbreaking. She kept bragging about her students but never said that to Zo, this causes him to have anxiety and "forces" them to be better. (I keep jumping all over the places to write my review, don't mind haha) While Zo didn't win the award to go study in Finland, he is disappointed, he's afraid that his mom wouldn't be proud of him. He won but he doesn't feel happy. It was just painful to see Zo not being proud of himself because of his mom. At least at the end, Zo's mom encouraged him and hugged him. He really needed the encouragement and recognition because of all the past events.Joke's family to me is more of the supportive side, the parents were so sweet and really proud of him. They brought him food to celebrate (even though he was not there). The video his dad sent was touching, grandma was awesome and his mom was too. Proud of his son and supports him no matter what. Happy tears!! There's definitely a contrast between the two families, and it was unfortunate to see that Zo had to go through that.JokeZo, while these 2 episodes focus more on family and the debate competition, there are still some memorable moments from them. The more I watch them, the more I feel like I'm seeing more of JoongDunk rather than JokeZo, they just look real in everything. Joke going to Zo's hometown to find his boyfriend because he can't wait and misses him. With all the cute little kisses, hugs and everything, wow. While staying at the house, Joke knew something wrong with Zo and his mom. Zo talking about all his backstory and childhood trauma with Joke guiding, supporting, and comforting him was so warm. "I've got your back from now on. I'll be by your side, holding your hand through all of this" -Joke. The EP 10 4/4 towards the end part was sweet, Joke encourages Zo and will always be there with him. Zo lying on Joke's lap just like how Kluen lying on Dao in Star in My Mind! Lastly, how can I not remember the spicy kisses at the end and they wake up on the bed naked at the beginning!!! Give me more details!! :) When Zo didn't win the "Best Speaker Award", Joke noticed the sadness on his face, even though Zo acts okay, we all can see it. When Zo finally opened up about his true feelings about the award, Joke already noticed all the concerns and worries Zo was having. The way he cheered up no matter what and was there with him was everything. "Right here, you have someone who's bursting with pride for you. I know it's not the same. But your efforts? They count. They're not worthless." "You can count on me to be here for you in times like these. Remember, I'm your sunshine." -Joke. Can we all agree that we should give the "Best Boyfriend Award" to Joke, thank you for being there with Zo every time something happens. The debate topic for the final round was so good that I gained knowledge from them. "Success is the fruit of hard work.""Although it might not be the only key, hard work is undeniably intrinsic to achieving our aspirations. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make, the better. Each experiment in our lives takes hard work." -Joke"Adopting the right approach is instrumental to success. And success doesn't have to always be monumental achievements." -Zo"The essence of hard work isn't necessarily about grandeur or relentless struggle, as suggested by the opposition. While I concur that various elements contribute to success, hard work remains a crucial ingredient. For example, the Negative is justifying their arguments to defeat my team in order to win a scholarship to study abroad. Skills in debate and knowledge acquisition are commendable, but can you say in all honesty that your effort here is not a product of hard work? In a world rife with challenges, a small victory is what we can achieve every day, and that will fortify our self-esteem." -NitaWhat can I say even, I am just shocked and speechless by Nita's statement. Yes, it was just perfect, she really deserved to win and got the "Best Speaker Award" to go to Finland to study abroad. Others did well too, but I think Nita really stood out to me this time.I have been talking about this nonstop, can I please get more AouBoom screen time and a new series. They just look comforting and have great chemistry. Jeng left the club for Pok and for their future even though it was his favourite sport. It was just full of love and the feelings coming from them were well done. Their 5-10 minutes of screen time already is better than everything. Jeng comforting Pok was so cute during the car scene, their acting was exactly what I wanted. The way Jeng took care of Pok when he was sick, such a careful boyfriend.Did we all escape the EP 11 curse, all of them are safe! They went through the misunderstanding part but the family issue happened. I was relieved that JokeZo was able to deal with this together. Ahh, it's already towards the end with EP 12 coming shortly. Can't wait for everything to wrap up but I'm going to miss my JokeZo and JengPok and Nita!!
An EP 9 that gives me an EP 11 feeling. I’ll continue to start off with Jeng and Pok. Jeng continues to text the girl he gave his Instagram by saying she needs study advice. However, he didn’t realize the problem of him texting her and thinking about how Pok would feel. Jeng kept defending himself but in reality, he was the one who was wrong.“Your boyfriend has an admirer, and she keeps texting him. Should I feel good about that?” -Pok Pok can’t see the future of him and Jeng together anymore if the relationship continues to be hidden. On the other hand, with the help of Joke, Jeng finally noticed his mistake. He kept going around pretending he was single because he was on a soccer team. Pok still decides to trust him no matter what and be a good boyfriend. Jeng definitely needs to listen and understand in order to create a healthy relationship. Pok had to be so secret in order to be with Jeng, this hurts him. Everyone is flirting with Jeng, but he can’t do anything because the relationship isn’t public. “What am I to you, really?” -Pok To resolve the situation, Jeng opened their relationship to the public. Even though it might not be the best at the moment, Jeng is trying to resolve his relationship and be true about it. The JokeZo situation isn’t good either. Even though they look cute together and have fluffy moments, the lack of talk and lies affected their relationship a lot. Joke never talked about his situation, his relationship with Pat (Louis) and how he tried to get closer to Zo from Pat. The so-called “Hidden Agenda” was revealed.“Lying is normal. Sometimes the truth does more harm than good, especially in relationships. A white lie can even save a relationship if it spares someone's pain from learning the truth. But for me, using a white lie, as an excuse to keep someone happy, or to hide something that you do behind someone’s back?” -ZoI understand why Zo was so mad this time though, he lost all his trust, a relationship that was started from a lie. Joke just kept lying and not expressing why he did that or why he felt like that. Finally, Joke expresses his own feelings and talks about the past, and Zo decides to forgive. “At first, I was confused, not sure if he’d like me. And he was into Nita back then. So I figured, knowing him was enough. But as I got to know him, I couldn’t help myself. My heart just wasn’t mine anymore, so I wanted to pursue him for real. There’s nothing untrue about us. My feelings are real. They’ve always been real. Everything I’ve done, it’s because I want to be next to him. I love him.” -Joke Joke, I was waiting you 9 episodes for you to finally say these. You never told anyone about how you feel, not even to Zo. The emotions from Joong were well done. Don’t lie to baby Zo anymore, Joke. This episode was such a roller coaster ride. I got so emotionally attached to Jeng and Pok. AouBoom are really good actors. The scene where Pok was sharing all his pain during the relationship was so brilliant. I can even feel the difficult moments that Pok was going through. I need GMM to give them a solo series in 2024, please. However, I didn’t enjoy JokeZo that much in this episode, maybe the lack of communication threw me off, but I’m glad that Joke finally talks about his true feelings.
