The story is so so, kind of typical. They're all totally clueless but Duen and Bohn are clueless in the, "the writers are only doing this because they need more plot" kind of way. But the chemistry between the actors is ?????. TBH this drama really only gets me going for KingxRam and BossxMek. The OST is also sooooo catchy. What a nice light hearted BL. Very refreshing after some of the more recent ones. If you like BL, definitely add this to your PTW list. I will definitely rewatch this at some point.
Just as a warning, the last episode ended on a bit of a cliff hanger for one of the couples, but THERE IS GOING TO BE A SECOND SEASON!!! so I think that they are setting they up to be the leads for the next season which makes me super excited!.

Hae Soo is one of the few female leads who never rubs me the wrong way. She always effortlessly portrays strong female characters. I'd never seen In Sung in a drama before, but damn *fans self*, now I need to go watch That Winter, The Wind Blows. The supporting roles are all very recognizable and again well cast. Kwang Soo is maybe not as conventionally attractive, but I adore him.
OSTs were catchy, story was entertaining if not a bit cliche (meaning, you can kind of guess the plot twists). I liked that the drama reflected a more mature/realistic relationship. 10/10 would recommend adding to you PTW if you haven't already. This drama was just "My Style", and I'll leave it at that.

Not Purr-fect, but not Claw-ful either...
Interesting concept, but this drama really dragged for me. The acting was just fine, but I really didn't feel any chemistry from the main leads. Also, the female MC was just kind of selfish and a bit obtuse? The most intriguing part was the romance between Ji Eun and Do Shik. I wish this drama stuck to being a romantic comedy like it was marketed as. The melodrama really didn't help with the plot or really showcase any acting talents at all. That being said, I think this was an okay drama. Something to add to the middle or end of your Plan to Watch list. Maybe higher if you like cats :)Esta resenha foi útil para você?

I want Woo Do Hwan to beat me up like he kicked butt in this drama
Story: This concept felt very refreshing, since I don't think there are any other dramas that revolve around quite as much as this one (the only other one I can think of it Memorist maybe?). The writing was great and I never knew what was going to happen next. No cliches and I really liked that. Also very much enjoyed that this did not have a romance. There was way too much to focus on already. It would have just detracted from the story.Acting/Cast: 10/10 across the board. I lovvvve Woo Do Hwan and Seo Ye Ji. Also, Jang Yoo Sang is dramaland's eternal brother. Go Joon as a freaking gangster! Freaking fantastic. Just so good I can't handle it.
Music: No OSTs in particular stood out, but nothing detracted either
Rewatch Value: High! Just for the fight scenes alone. Hardcore Parkour.
TLDR; fresh concept, great writing and acting, might make you lose your faith in humanity.

So I came here after watching Ryan in The Romance of Tiger and Rose. I think if I had seen this first, I might have rated it higher, but in comparison to his performance/role in the other drama, I'm rating it a bit lower. Simply because I think he is such a talented actor and this drama didn't really use him to his full potential. That being said, here is how I would break my rating down. Plot wise, I think this drama is pretty typical and a bit cliche. I didn't like the characters particularly because they are a bit superficial and wishywashy. I love Ryan and Julio and have watched their dramas before. The other cast members were a bit lacking. I personally didn't feel that much chemistry between the main leads (or at least as much as there should be), but sparks were flying with supporting role romances. I found the FL a bit annoying, but it could just be the character. Music was neither here nor there. But I would rewatch just for Ryan's face when she tells him she's pregnant.
TLDR; watch before The Romance of Tiger and Rose?

I kept waiting for it to redeem itself and it just continued to get worse
I watched this drama while it was airing and it was like watching a train wreck in slow motionStory: Just no. Just say no. The writing is honestly trash. I don't know how to explain it any better. First of all, a love pentagon (or freaking net who even knows) is kind of lame in the first place, but it was not well executed either. Way too many story lines. How the female lead attracted all these men is beyond me because she honestly seemed like such a b***h. Even the romance aspect was all hecked up. A total downhill. They should have left the last few episodes for the daughter and the father to get to know each other but instead they added a mafia aspect and also celebrity news intrigue? A messss. Not a satisfying ending either.
Acting/Cast: Son Ho Jun is honestly the highlight of this drama. If you're his fan, it's worth the watch. The child actors were also greatttt. Otherwise, just, they felt very stiff, idk.
Music: A big positives for me were the OSTs. My favorite is Dreams by Lee Ba Do.
Rewatch: lol no way in heck
TLDR; the writing is trash, watch clips of Son Ho Jo and the kids instead on youtube

Plot: I liked this drama a lot. It's kind of cliche but I think it's almost a perfect interweaving of something fantastical with a typical crime drama. Also, I really, really, really appreciated that the second male lead was not whiny and he didn't make the whole romance dynamic weird. And for the male lead to know and be okay with it; I loved that. I don't think I've ever seen that in a KDrama before. I also really liked that there was an open ending for a lot of the characters. They tied everything off nicely. I thought I got spoiled by the comment section, but it was fake news so I ended up being pleasantly surprised.
Acting/Cast: Suzy is one of the few actresses that I've always liked, which is a bit rare for me. Lee Jong Suk has played many similar roles, but I thought the "cutesy" aspect was endearing/hilarious, so there's that. Also Jung Hae In is one of my favorites, just in everything. He really excelled in his role here. To be honest, I've mostly only seen him in melodramas, except for Prison Playbook, so seeing an even greater extent of his comedic exchanges blew me out of the water. Also! he! had! a! scene! with! facial! hair! What a blessing. Thank you KDrama gods.
OSTs: Cute and catchy; I found myself singing along.
Rewatch: Probably at some point, but it's maybe not high on the list for a full rewatch. I'd probably just got to youtube to watch certain clips again.
TLDR; This was just what the drama doctor prescribed. Kind of full of cliches, but well cast and produced gold is still gold no matter how cheesy.

Over all, I really liked this drama. The casting, acting, and overall story line is great. The writing does drag a bit for me personally. It seems like a lot of Jin Joo and Ban Doo's anger stemmed from miss or lack of communication, which I personally think is too dragged out for 12 episodes. I didn't particularly like the FL character, because she seemed a bit self-centered in regards to the woe is me, we're unhappy aspect. Not only did she drag the 2nd male lead along until the very end (even though we and she knew it wasn't going to be a thing), but in comparison to the male lead who gave up his "First Love" episodes prior, she seems like the more problematic one? Then again, people are innately irrational. Otherwise I enjoyed it. The 90s nostalgia is a bit too early for me to remember but I liked it all the same. OSTs fit the era of the song. I probably won't rewatch because I like their performances better in other dramas.
Also, lmao, I thought Lee Yi Kyung was just going to have long hair for one episode as a gag, but then it never ended. He must have been miserable by the end.

Story: Overall I think this a solid historical drama full of intrigue. That being said, I definitely felt like the story dragged in the middle. What ended up happening for me, I think, the first time I watched, was I got bored around episode 10 or so and just dramabeansed(read the recap) the rest of the series. I still felt that way, but this time I stuck with it. So the story looses some points because of that.
Cast: First off, I think that the entire cast for the younger versions of the characters is fantastic. So many of them have gone on to make a place for themselves in Korean media. But in regards to the adult cast, I don't really share the same attitude. Kim Soo Hyun, in my opinion, is the saving grace of this drama. I think that with anyone else cast in the King's role, this drama really would never have gotten the traction it did with him as a lead. He is one of my favorite actors, so I'm likely biased, but the way he conveys emotions feels very raw and always produces an amazing product, not matter how crappy the writing, editing, and supporting cast may be. That being said, I really did not like the actress of the female lead. She perpetually looked confused, which I guess she was lol, but it made her seem like a rather flat and unemotional. Even the Queen did a better job, imo, so that really knocked down the points for me as well.
Music: Not what I would describe as notable, but fit the drama well, so therefore, on point.
Rewatch: I think this is high, just for the younger kids performance (which is about 1/4 of the total show) and for Kim Soo Hyun's performance.
TLDR; Maybe not so notable of a story, but the younger cast's and KSH's performances make this drama a must watch.

This is another drama that I dropped while it was airing and picked back up again months later. Story: New and different. That being said, I wasn't a big fan of the first half of the season, which is why I dropped it in the first place. The second half was pretty great though. Therefore, I think it's better to binge. I loved the soldier bromance, and the RomCom moments between the leads. I loved! Goo Seung Jun's character arc. The ending was a bit cliche in my opinion.
Acting: Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin were great, but neither of them is really 'My Style'. Kim Jung Hyun really stood out to in this drama. I guess I didn't really get SLS because I didn't want him to get the FL, but I was definitely more interested in his scenes than a lot of the others. All of the characters were well cast however, and the acting was pretty great.
Music: Catchy OSTs, a bit melodramatic for my personal taste.
Rewatch: Medium because I only want to rewatch the scenes where the North Korean boys are discovering Seoul.
TLDR; It was good but definitely overhyped imo. I'm just not a Hyun Bin or a Ye Jin gal *shrugging emoji*

Deja Vu???
This is was my second time watching this drama because I thought I hadn't watched it before. I spent the first few episodes wondering where I had seen Kim Young Kwang in a leading or supporting role before... and it was this drama. I feel so stupid, not only because I forgot, but because I was essentially half way done with the drama before I figured it out. So that's kind of my break down. The rom-com abstract of this drama is great. Fantastic casting, good chemistry, and tsundere for dayyys. But the plot is anything but memorable. Highly re-watchable, though. Obviously. Lmao.Esta resenha foi útil para você?
Overall, I actually did think that the premise was interesting. But the editing of the time jumps and the overlap in plots between episodes made the story unnecessarily confusing. The drama is beautifully shot and the CGI is well done. I'm not the biggest fan of Kim Eun Sook's writing, because I feel like she re-uses a lot of tropes, which makes dramas a bit lackluster in my opinion. The only reason I really committed to watching this drama all the way through was because of Lee Min Ho, which is an accomplishment for me because I couldn't finish Goblin (also written by Kim Eun Sook) for the same reasons.
In regards to acting/casting, Lee Min Ho is fantastic as usual. He really excels at portraying the aristocratic wealthy prince type. I just wish that the story was more comedic overall, but especially in regards to his character, because we all know he can pull it off based on his past roles. I also really felt that there was no chemistry between the main leads. I've never been the biggest fan of Kim Go Eun, because it always seems like she doesn't truly vibe/connect with the male leads in her dramas which make her characters seem a bit dull in my opinion. I felt the same way about her roles in Goblin and Cheese in the Trap, because I know that the male leads in all of these dramas have pulled off outstanding performances with other female leads. Overall, Woo Do Hwan pulled off my favorite performance of the season with his outstanding portrayals of two very different characters. I want to see him as a ML in the future FOR SURE.
Otherwise, OSTs were nothing particularly noticeable. I also will not be rewatching because I don't think it's really worth it. If you really enjoy these actors, maybe check out some of their other works first and save this for later.
TLDR; It didn't blow me out of the water like it should have, give Woo Do Hwan a main role!
