The first time I watched Duelist, I didn't quite know what to make of it. It was beautiful, but I didn't really get it. Kang Dong Won and Ha Ji Won are wonderful, and they have incredible chemistry, but the story puzzled me because I wasn't used to that kind of story telling. I rated it 8/10 because I liked it. I just watched it for a second time, and I totally love it. I guess I approached it as visual poetry this time rather than watching it for the narrative. Viewing it that way, it totally enchanted me.
