How did everyone think this was ok to put out lmao
I have very mixed reactions about this show partly because it has my favorite cast of all time but now i wonder what made me like them in the first place. When i watched the first 2 eps i was already a bit shocked because there was fruit fly and mice p*rn and i was confused as to whether this even was a korean high budget show and not some deranged low budget web series.
PROS:
1. OSTs were amazing
2. Loved santi he was the only sanctuary from the mess
3. Did send a pretty hopeful message in the beginning atleast, to parents who want to have children but are suffering from infertility (though it later went wrong)
CONS:
1. Hated the characters: Gong ryung cheated on his fiancee go-eun no matter how much you try to sugar coat it and eve slept with him despite knowing he was engaged. All the space ship residents were annoying af and they did not deserve any screen time. The moms were the worst of it all, bad acting, bad storyline and bad execution.
2. No chemistry: None of the couples have any chemistry and I mean NONE. Gong ryung and eve just "fell" for each other because she was rude and he stitched her toe like wtf, the side couples also had no chemistry and they were unnecessary.
3. Zero logic: They literally explain themselves that it is IMPOSSIBLE for ppl to have s*x up there because of zero gravity, freezing temps etc. yet they magically manage to do it and also have a successfully implantation, despite the probability of both being extremely extremely low. Now i can get past the whole pregnancy stuff but like honestly how did her fetus withstand the force of 4G when she went up to space? like correct me if i'm wrong (i am not a doctor) but isn't the fetus more unstable in early stages of pregnancy? so logically shouldn't she have lost it when she went up to space and her environment suddenly changed?
4. Very bad pacing: slow paced in the beginning, fast in the end
5. No real ending: I'm confused as to whether this is birth propaganda or birth control propaganda lmfao. Like she gets pregnant and she decided to give birth but dies after labour which literally discourages women from giving birth. Like myb they might want to send out the msg that "look some women out here literally die to give birth in space then why can't you just give birth on earth with ob-gyns like gong ryung who will help you and let you have a perfectly safe birth and a happy family?" and the monologue in the end where they play a shit ton of baby videos felt morbid like idk why but it felt eerie af.
6. very bad way to deal with a lot of topics like fertility, adoption and birth: Imo this drama makes woman seem like nothing more than just birthing machines...Its so painfully obvious that they are pro-life and not pro-choice that i'm genuinely afraid for women in sk because its literally selling the idea that giving birth at the risk of your own life is motherly and "normal", like i am pro life on some instances but not when the mother would literally DIE if she gave birth like that is not okay, and nobody is even telling her that an abortion is ok because her giving birth is a death sentence for both the kid and her because a motherless child in space is not better of period! and why does the mother always die is the real question in these dramas.
7. No payback for the "evil": eve's mother doesn't get payback she is forgiven just because she adopted another kid and tried to donate her blood, the chairman of mz group does not get payback and he just continues to be successful professionally and he is forgiven solely because his love for his grandchild drove his actions.
8. Acting: My two favorite actors Lee Minho and Gong hyojin made me forget what i liked about their acting in the first place. this show was genuinely so bad that i forgot about their past projects. They had zero chemistry and the acting felt too casual like i felt like they weren't even trying..;
My theory: My personal conspiracy theory is that they killed eve in the end because she "killed" the morulas, maybe its a message that abortion is bad and that "murderers" get payback? like they want to send the message that those who choose abortion are just murderers who don't deserve to live happily. I also feel like they want to make babies the answer to everything like "a shitty relationship can be fixed with babies (Gonng ryung and eve ) and (goeun and other guy)"..." Your sad and traumatic past can be overcome with pregnancy!".....
Overall I think that the actors were compensated very very well to want to partake in this mess of a show, despite thinking it was a horrible show I will give it a 6 for santi, the filmography and the budget.

A good drama gone terribly wrong
This drama is something i had pretty good expectations for but unfortunately it failed to deliver. I don't know how i can possibly rate the show when the second lead couple was much more interesting than the main couple. When i started this show i thought it was so cute, Academic rivals are definitely something you are likely to experience in school and the idea of meeting your academic rival after many years , as well as the fact that they were both facing struggles of different kinds were also quite amusing to me. I personally really resonated with the fl because a lot of parents tell you to work hard and "everything will work out" but that is not always the case. The ml (although not as relatable) also received very less attention and the only time his parents paid any attention to him was when he got into trouble. Now ill go in depth about the pros and the cons.
Cons:
1) the drama started out strong but i don't know exactly when but i started getting bored of the romance between the leads, I feel like it would have made much more sense if they both just remained friends because the romance was so unnecessary
2) the mystery behind the issue with the ml's medical mishap was way too complicated, i would have preferred if they just kept one suspect from the beginning and limited the mystery to max 8 episodes
3) the comedy was at most times - just cringe, I dont know if it was the acting, the writing or the directing but the comedy was extremely cringe at certain moments
4) I like park hung sik's acting but for this show it was a bit much, I feel like if the actor looks fake while doing a scene it prevents viewers from immersing themself into the show
5) The misunderstandings were drawn out, i feel like the characters did not age a day (mentally) after high school, i feel like they honestly retain the same level of maturity which shows no character development over time
Pros:
1) First and foremost my high rating for the acting goes mostly for the second leads, their acting was so much more realistic and their situations were also much more relatable, The idea of being single parents to kids of the opposite gender (single mom with son and single dad with daughter) while having hectic jobs as medical professionals and having to navigate life with teenagers was also executed well. After a certain point i was watching the show for them.
2) I feel like the mental health aspect was demonstrated pretty well, the idea of parents always pushing you to be successful and how success does not equal happiness was a strong message.
3) Park shin hye definitely improved her kissing skills, she looked like she was being assaulted in majority of the dramas but she definitely fixed it this time round

Definitely deserves the title of one of the best k-dramas of 2024!!
I had pretty high hopes for this one because of the cast and the unique storyline and I am happy to say it didn't disappoint me till the end!!Pros:
1) Little to no lagging
2) No overused cliches regarding the backgrounds of the leads
3) real life issues depicted in a comical manner
4) perfect amount of episodes
5) great osts and songs throughout
6) great casting choices
7) morally grey characters finding their place in life
8) teens finding love in a cute way
Cons:
1) the biggest con I had was the superpower with time every little change you make should have huge domino effects but here they pretty much ignore those aspect ig? but we have to understand that a 12eps drama can't cover all the semantics
Overall a great show, its a breath of fresh air as compared to your everyday rom com and it was definitely a great watch, but I have to say that if you are a huge fan of romance and not the angst then you may struggle till around ep 8-9 after that I'm sure all types of viewers will be satisfied

Dramas like these should not be made anymore!!
this drama contains everything but nothing at the same time, I watched the show but i don't really know what i watchedCons:
1) The drama was so messy and i ended up skipping alot of the scenes
2) Every storyline was so predictable and basic that i literally felt deja vu at every scene
3) the last few episodes were exhausting to watch because of how basic everything turned out
Pros:
The only thing i liked about this drama is the visuals, i honestly don't know why they make these overused teen romance plots anymore...Everything was 2 dimensional and i could not find any reason to like the characters. I will say though that i laughed a lot in the beginning because of how ridiculous the situation was but afterwards it just became exhausting to watch.
This is the type of drama you watch when you have nothing else to watch or if you don't feel like watching a plot heavy show. The show ended the moment they started dating(in fact even earlier). Nothing memorable happens and i feel like i watched falling into your smile, love scenery and love me love my voice all together. After watching so many of these type of dramas i'm honestly too scared to start a show that has sweet romance because of the disappointment that always follows. The only thing that is going to save my drama slump (hopefully if done well, fingers crossed) is Legend of shen li which is coming out tomorrow.

Not sure?
The first few episodes were really REALLY good. And then it starts going downhill, tbh i was a bit generous in my ratings purely due to the first few eps and it comes up to a 6. I remember being super excited for this show to the point of watching it without good subs. The sci-fi aspect of the show literally made zero sense and towards the end i was so bored i wanted to get it over with.
another infuriating aspect is how we had very basic characters, i can literally describe all of them in less than 1 sentence and you would know everything there is to know about them in the show
ml and fl -> smart and solve every issue and instantly in love but they actually met as kids
the gang of three guys -> seem like bad guys but good and loyal at heart
shy girl-> jealous of fl (bestie) having a life but gets over it eventually
streamer girl -> seems like self-absorbed but has a past
bully+rich girl -> crush on ml and ofc hates fl for no apparent reason
fencer girl -> strong but has trauma
coward boy -> funny side kick who likes fencer girl
driver -> seems like a nice man but secretly the game creator ( and MAJOR spoiler : related to dad of fl)
Now something that absolutely pissed me of was how gullible the leads were, i understand all the side characters being dumb but how can the leads act that way too? They literally keep going to the HQ of a technology company and break in without knowing there are cctvs? also they sign contracts without fully reading through them and dont learn fro their mistakes after getting cheated on again and again.
The ending was honestly SOO boring idk how i got through it, especially with bad subs.I purely watched this for miles wei and saw hope in the beginning but all of it was lost unfortunately. Its almost like the writers are trying to throw us off by making the most random explainations to these sci-fi shows and they are so random that they make no sense

Extremely good plot twists and engaging plot
When this show came out i purely watched it because the cover page looked cool but from the second episode onwards i was hooked!! the plot was so good that i was at the edge of my seat till the next dayActing/Cast:
Jing Boran has done a great job in demonstrating the various sides to "fei-ke" he made me hate, love, pity and empathize with this fictional character that had lived a very pitiful life....The supporting cast also did well and they did their parts especially the actress who played Xuan-er, i felt enraged on her behalf and she did a very convincing job at switching personalities...The female lead was pretty good but her acting wasn't a show stealer for sure, what i mean by this is that although she does her part very well her role itself isnt that impactful in the actual show
Plot:
The plot was done so well!!! I read a comment saying that this is a special type of drama where all crimes are punished at the end regardless of the reasoning and I think that I would have liked this drama regardless of whether it had a happy/sad ending...The parallels drawn between the "victims" and "the fraud" were very well done and by the end you can't really hate anyone....I also felt like it aptly shows how even the most intelligent people can be affected by their past and how important a good upbringing is for a person.....One thing i will point out though is that you will enjoy this drama way more if you wait for the next episode rather than binging (in my case i spent a lot of time theorizing which made it a more exciting experience)
Conclusion:
If you are looking for a short drama that has a pretty conclusive ending (an extra season is not required but i read some comments on the speculation of its possibility)
there is no textbook good or evil, and every character is a person rather than a plot device for the protagonist
DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT A ROMANCE SHOW, although there are meaningful gazes between leads and hinted feelings, and skinship between the supporting role with ml there is no actual romance as a plot in the story
( I tried to avoid saying anything close to a spoiler but if you want to know anymore details feel free to dm :) !)

Had potential but turned out - boring
I remember reading the description for this particular drama and thinking that the storyline had a lot of potential but i was truly disappointed after the first few episodes of this show.Pros:
1) the relationship was very unproblematic with little to no drama, there were no exaggerated fights or arguments and everything got solved quickly
2) majority of it was filmed at an overseas location so it was a change of pace from your usual dramas
3) the osts were pretty good
Cons
1) the biggest issue of this show is the lack of plot besides the romance, im sure the writers wanted to take the "mature" romance with no problems route but there should have been something besides the romance to intrigue the viewers. The sports part of this show was quite boring in the sense that there was no real competition, you always know that either yin guo or lin yiyang will win the match AND even if they lose they lose to another Chinese member so at the end of the day they are all winners
2) all the scenes were forgettable - I don't know if i'm the only one that experienced this but i literally can't remember anything truly memorable from this show and that is imo a major flaw.
3) No struggle for the main leads, all though we see lin yiyang's troubled past, we dont get to see his struggle in getting better at the game nor do we see him lose when he has a comeback after more than a decade, same goes for yin guo. Also the only time ml loses is when he has an injury which made it seem like he was "undefeated".
To conclude, this is the kind of show that i purely watched to see if it could get better and unfortunately it didn't for me. The acting was pretty good but their potential was limited, after having watched the fl in reset and the ml in love like the galaxy, I feel like their talents were limited with such a lackluster script. The romance scenes were good but they weren't memorable, you could find it in literally every other drama but this one just had much more famous cast. They should have also made lin yiyang's comeback one with more setbacks because it is impossible that he still retains same level of skills after 10+ years of not competing professionally. Yin guo's skill should have been backed up with evidence of her struggle as none of the leads were shown to have truly struggled in order to get better. The rewatch value for me is close to 0 because there is no scene that i particular find unique. I definitely want to see the two leads in a more plot heavy show (myb historical?).

Cute but Boring
I think its a trend for modern cdramas to be lackluster because since the start of 2025 I can't recall any truly good cdramas that come in the same league as go ahead and other top tier modern dramas. Either way i think that this drama was pretty much what I expected but it has a lot of scope for improvement which I have listed below.PROS:
1. Parallels: I loved the parallels we get between shan shan and shan chong and in a way between wei zhi and nan feng, I thought it was great at showing how circumstances can impact a person and how there's more than one "right" path in life.
2. Visuals: Although we don't get the same visuals as the poster, it is undeniable that lin yi and esther have great visuals.
3. Motivational: I think its inspiring to see almost everyone overcome their struggles and move forward from the past
4. Maturity: the relationship is very mature, breakup is also justified and I think all in all the characters have genuine concerns and thoughts
5. Yan: His character was actually my favorite in the show, I loved the small details (him colouring his hair to stand out, social media to grab attention, etc, ) his character was so well thought of and i think the actor did a great job in the portrayal because I could sense his emotions without him saying anything.
6. Representation for snow sports: I honestly feel very intrigued by skiing and snowboarding and this show made me want to go to learn the sport myself (it would be an added bonus if someone like shan chong was my coach lmao)
CONS:
1. Characters lack depth: Besides those i mentioned above I think that most characters lack depth in this show, its very basic in the sense that there is not much to the characters other than what you read in the synopsis.
2. Immaturity of the FL: I don't think Esther's acting is the issue here but the way the FL was portrayed in the beginning was honestly difficult to watch and I'm pretty sure her character was written that way
3. Pacing: It was quite rushed towards the end, probably in order to wrap up everything neatly but I wished they had taken a bit more time.
4. Villains: I honestly felt like the FL is a bit too..forgiving? It could be attributed to her upbringing but I think that she was a bit too perfect, For dramas like these its better to have a character that is a bit more nuanced and imperfect
5. Plot: This type of storyline is so saturated lately and even if they add elements like sports/thriller/drama/fantasy/etc. it still feels like I'm watching the same thing...This drama is definitely catered towards the fans of the cast rather than actual drama viewers because tbh there is not much to see.
6. Character Arc: I think that for the sake of maturity many of the characters lost their personality, in order to make conflict resolution quick almost no one seems to keep a grudge or plan anything (except CEO of tiger comics ofc) and it makes it a bit boring if i'm being honest.
7. Comedy: Wish they added more of this because the "comedy" (if you can even call it that) was the FL acting like a baby which made me almost drop the drama.
8. Impact: There are close to no instances where the cast had an opportunity to leave an impact which makes me sure that I will forget I watched this in like a month.
All in all if you like the star studded cast and want to watch a cute romance drama and also learn quite a lot about a new sport then this will be great for you. The rating fell by a lot for me because of the low rewatch value and overused plot but I can see how this would be a great cdrama for someone who is new to it(its not very overloaded with info and it is pretty short by cdrama standards).

A Very Realistic Contemporary Drama
This drama was everything it promised to deliver, we had the free spirited female lead, the supportive family and 4 different male leadsPros:
1. the Story was executed very well and it was extremely realistic
2. Many opportunities to analyze psychology behind the character
3. Real life issues faced by women all over the world
4. Beauty comes with many many benefits but also just as many complications
5. great osts
6. Excellent cast - they executed everything to the best of their abilities
Cons:
there are 2 reason as to why this was not a 10 star watch for me:
1. The open ending did not make me feel content and the younger male lead was unnecessary in my opinion, his character was not done justice as he only got around 3 eps of screentime. I wish they gave the viewers closure on whether she is eventually happy ( more details on her ambitions for her future) or if they chose the romance route I wish they showed us who she chose and whether she remains single
2. THIS IS THE BIGGEST REASON WHY: The male leads (rose's exes) never fully move on from her, although she is able to leave them in the past they are always held back by the memory of her. This is very unrealistic, although ZGD being single makes sense (him being career oriented) , i don't see someone like FXW staying single for over 6 years just for her. In reality although it takes time to move on, you don't always stay in the past, whats more surprising is how only she moves on
Overall a great watch if you can deal with mature romance and love psychoanalyzing things

Pretty Decent but....Bland
I was waiting for this drama to be released for so long because of the cast but after I finished watching it I can't help but say that I'm disappointed. The synopsis on MDL seems to be a bit misleading because the FL went to see the ML because of insomnia which was caused due to a traumatic breakup and not work related stress.Pros:
1. Mature Romance
2. Little to no drama
3. Supportive parents
4. Wholesome friends and relatives
5. ML is The biggest green flag
6. representation for TCM
7. Great Visuals
Cons:
1. The Boyfriend was written badly: Ok i get that he's not the ML or even an important character but his character was done dirty...rather than giving him a personality they just use him as a plot device. His motivations for breaking up with her were not explained well, his reasoning for wanting to get back together are also not explained well and overall his character seemed unnecessary.
2. The FL's feelings for ML: In the beginning she is fresh out of a toxic relationship that had a huge impact on her that she was literally losing sleep over what he said to her.....from the snippets we see we can also see that he used to shatter her self esteem and degrade her....Now considering that i thought the Fl should have taken some time alone to get to know herself more and to enjoy being herself, but all we get to see is the "typical" don't worry, another man will fix your broken heart!
Another reason why I strongly wanted her to take time off from men is because she obviously hasn't had anytime to explore her own identity. She got into the relationship with her first bf when she was in college and as we know he used to impose his ideals on her and she became submissive to his demands...soon after she got out of that toxic relationship she gets into another relationship before getting to know herself more (And no i don't consider her treatment time a real break because she was being actively pursued by ML and she was sick)....Obviously when she gets into a relationship (no matter how good her partner is) she definitely will lose her ability to fully love herself because she's busy loving someone else.
So as a conclusion I think she was not ready for the relationship
3. The background cast was - unimpressive? : The supporting cast felt like a bunch of extras that randomly showed up without any real purpose...the FL's coworker's relationship was imo boring and i skipped most of it, the Ml's coworkers were equally boring and the 2FL was also badly written
4. The actual story is very basic, i think its a trend to give a plot that is bland and add a really popular cast to it to make it better...although some scenes were really good, the drama as a whole was unimpressive...The incorporation of TCM was intriguing though i will admit
5. The chemistry was not chemistrying: Although I could see how attracted he was to her I just didn't feel the same spark that i felt when I saw them with other co-stars (zhang linghe with bailu and esther yu and Xu ruohan with jerry yan), I felt like I was unimpressed mainly because FL's attraction for him was not as convincing
6. lastly something I don't understand in most dramas like these is what made them fall for each other....He fell for her at first sight but why exactly did she fall for him? are we sure she isn't confusing her appreciation towards him for curing her, her vulnerability to be loved by someone after her previous relationship (maybe she felt wanted because he loves her and this made her dependent on him after what her ex said about no one other than him being able to tolerate her)
Conclusion: Overall it was pretty decent to watch...don't think its worth rewatching though but I'm definitely more intrigued by TCM than I was before I started this drama

Are we romanticizing stalkers now?
So I'll skip the introduction because I don't really have much to introduce and i'll get right to the pros and cons.PROS:
1. Great OSTs
2. Acting was really good by the MCs
3. Was able to put forward a very melancholic and sad vibe
4. Very intriguing supernatural premise
5. Amazing visuals
6. The whole drama felt super artistic and more like a movie
CONS:
1. ML is obviously a stalker: Like I mentioned in the title I literally felt like the ML was a stalker throughout majority of the drama, He literally follows the FL silently, tracks her steps, literally invades her privacy on multiple instances and spies on her blatantly. His intentions literally don't matter because at the end of the day they were not friends and they barely knew each other so his obsession with her is a bit iffy to say the least.
********
edit:-
I'm not a psychologist or a lawyer, but where I'm from stalking is when someone is being tracked without their consent ... and i went down the google rabbit hole and found some closely related definitions to dong-jin's actions which i have pasted below.
(relationship between perpetrator and victim) Strangers: These victims are typically unaware of how their stalkers began stalking because typically these stalkers form a sense of admiration for their victims from a distance (sounds familiar? thought so.)
(the type of stalker i think he is in some capacity) Intimacy seekers: they seek to establish an intimate, loving relationship with their victim. Such stalkers form a spectrum from those with erotomania, to those who do not believe their love is reciprocated but who insist with "delusional intensity" of their eventual success, and to other rigid, obsessive individuals.
*********
2. ML's Love for FL: Ok a simple crush is understandable, I'm sure everyone falls for someone in high school and she has that mysterious pretty girl aura so obviously he fell for her but what he does next is the concerning part. He takes up statistics and he himself states that it is to solve her issue, if they were friends or at the very least acquaintances this decision would make a whole lot more sense but considering they only exchanged a few glances it seems WAY too WEIRD. He even befriends people like her and his whole life is in a way catered to her which is weird and creepy af.
3. The FL's acceptance of his confession: The FL lets be real here, is desperate for love, I wonder if what she feels for ML is "love" or just delusion because I think any normal woman would have felt extremely creeped out if her highschool classmate rented a house that could see directly into her house and literally wrote blogs about her every movement, and i think its because she is so starved of love that she accepts him in the end.
4. This show could easily have been a movie: Honestly At first i felt this drama should have had 16 eps or atleast 12 (after ep1) but after finally finishing it i felt like they could have put the same content into a movie and it would have been way better because 1) it would have been short 2) the unnecessary scenes they added would have been cut out
5. why was there another witch?: ok i get that they want to show mi-jung is not the only one etc. but its weird that the ML has an obsession with cursed people...like why is his closest friend and the girl he has a "small" crush on of the same type? It clearly shows how unsettlingly obsessed he is with her
6. Purpose of the curse: was hoping to see this but got nothing, i wish they told us why mi-jung and the guy friend were chosen...was there something they did as children? but i doubt anyone should be punished so cruelly for something they did as kids...why is it her(like she herself asks i believe)? I wonder why they didn't analyze the past cases of "witches" and formulate a hypothesis on why one is chosen ...(Also during research don't you try to figure out the possible causes rather than making blanket statements like "anyone who loves her and confesses will die?" and then jumping out to do the same?
7. The 2nd couple: This was very silly, No idea why they fell for each other, his acting was lackluster and them as a whole felt unnecessary and repetitive for the plot...And as a stats major why is he assuming that mi-jung and his friend are the same type of witch? just because one rule works for mijung doesn't mean it will work for him right? and she is literally risking her life for a confession after knowing him for what? 2 weeks? which seems waaay too unrealistic even for a drama on witches
8. Pacing: Like many people mentioned while the drama was airing the pacing was horrible, it was extremely slow and it was slow for no reason, and istg they'd literally give extras more screentime than the lead couple in some of the eps with no apparent reason I may mention
9. The couples were repetitive: we have a witch and a guy who likes her (who has a male witch friend)
and a girl who likes the male witch and has a female witch friend......I can get past the ML's obsession coming to fruition because she also kind off liked him as kids but why does the second couple make any sense? it felt like they just put them together because its normal for there to be 2 pairs of couples by the end minimum and honestly the parallels aren't that good because its literally just a gender swap
10. ML is manipulative: Now lastly the biggest issue i have was the ending, he makes her get to know about the rules via his friend and in a way literally forces her to accept his confession (she will obviously be touched if she knows he will die if he confesses and that she can save him by falling in love with him and accepting him forever)
11. Is he really helping her live a normal life? : The ML states in the beginning that he wants to help her be normal so shouldn't he be finding out how to stop her from being a witch rather than making rules to approach her (because lets be real here she won't fall in love with someone she saw for the first time, and it would be difficult for them to be with her without falling for her and in turn getting hurt)
I also wish they showed us life post confession because I really want to know if she still causes the death of men that like her.
All in all the cons outweigh the pros for me but if you are looking for an angsty romance (don't expect any skinship though lmao) with a hint of thriller and you don't mind draggy scenes, this one might be for you. I think the plot was unique and if executed better had the potential to be one of the best short dramas of this year.

Decent Watch
So let me begin my review with the fact that I was pretty disappointed with the way it turned out, the premise had a whole lot more potential and the cast have shown so much more potential before and it felt quite forgettable. Regardless I gave this an 8 because when independently reviewing this drama for what it is (and pretending I was watching it objectively with no external influences like past dramas) I found that it was a decent watch. Not Excellent for sure but yeah.So just like the summary on MDL, the story revolves around our 2 main characters Kim Mubee and Ko Gyeom and the Actual show is exactly like the summary except with the addition of Ko Gyeom's brother who I think should be mentioned there for sure because of how big an influence he is.
Now moving on to the pros and cons,
PROS:
1. The OSTs were nice
2. Loved the cinematography
3. Pretty good acting and I think the actors did exactly what they were told to do
4. Realistic approach to psychology
5. Pretty good interpretation of surviving a life threatening situation
6. Unique family dynamics
CONS:
1. The biggest con to me is the sheer waste of potential, Ko Gyeom's career as a film critic and Mu-bee's actual unfiltered journey to being a director was not aptly shown imo and it felt like a heap of wasted potential...You get a whole lot of time skips and at times the pacing feels too fast ( could be attributed to the fewer eps ) either way there were many uncharted and interesting ways to approach it that would have made it more unique.
2. The characters: so lets be honest here the characters in my opinion lacked depth. They were too boring and rather than peeling them apart layer by layer over the course of 10eps all we get is the fast spoonfeeding of their psychologies. I personally think that for these type of dramas it is imperative to take things slow and leave hints for the audience to figure out why they are the way they are.
3. Lack of comedy: Sure not every drama needs comedy but there was so many instances for comedy that just got misused in a way that made me cringe (especially the interviews) idk like you either have good comedy or you don't period.
4. Romance, didnt get into the chemistry for some reason, they felt more like friends or siblings and idk rather than what we saw i thought the chemistry should have been more intense but there were no electrifying gazes exchanged or any interactions that made me feel like they were more than just friends
5. It could have been a movie: personally there was no reason to make it a 10eps drama, a 2hr movie would have sufficed as long as the removed the secondary couple who were unnecessary either way imo
All in all if you haven't watched a whole of dramas or you don't get bothered by the feeling of deja vu you will definitely love this but as someone that does not come under either category, I found it to be boring but redeemable to some extent

Mediocre?
I waited until the last few episodes to write this review and I think there are mainly 2 types of viewers:1)the ones who have seen "Go Ahead"
2) and the ones who haven't
I am part of the audience that has watched go ahead and that is why I believe I found this drama to be mediocre...So keep in mind that my review will highly be biased based on the original
Plot:
1) As Go Ahead is a Chinese drama it has around 40 episodes and as a result there was a lot of character development and side plots that were important to the story, this drama obviously had to get rid of some of them but for the same reason it felt lacking overall
2) There was also too much focus on the romance aspect and I think it would have been much better if they just took inspiration from the original and focused on the slice of life part...I also felt like the dads didn't give off the same vibe...in the og drama the dads have a whole persona of their own but this show just seems to dumb it down
Acting:
The leads have absolutely no chemistry..Hwang In youp as an actor is fine but in this drama he just looked awkward the whole time
the crying scenes weren't sad, the romance scenes weren't magical and the only saving aspect was maybe the comedy
Other thoughts (may contain some spoilers):
Why were all three of their careers changed? It was such a minor detail that had huge implications in the og because in that drama kim sanha was supposed to be a dentist, her a craftswoman and business owner and haejun was supposed to be a pastry chef, their career choices (especially the brothers) were supposed to show how dependent they were on juwon and it played a pretty significant role
The friend group wasnt the same!!
Haejun's character confessing his love in og shows that he was desperate to be included in their family dynamic and that his abandonment issues forced him to create feelings in order to belong...
The side character were only plot devices for the leads and they lacked depth!
Conclusion:
Anyways to conclude, If you havent watched go ahead you may like this show but if you have its just going to seem like a cheap remake I would recommend that everyone watches the original if they have time, but If you don't this is a decent watch (if you watch with a blank slate with no bias you may like it more than I did)
I doubt there is anyone who can argue that this was better than (or even on the same level as) the original.

A surprisingly interesting watch
I had pretty low expectations (like one normally does for short cdramas) but this was surprisingly more than just excessive steamy scenes and hot actors.PROS:
1. I absolutely love their relationship dynamic: I love how he is always by her side supporting her decisions and how he is always willing to hear her out when she has suggestions. He also never broadcasts his actions when he helps her out.
2. FL representation: Most of these dramas paint the FL as an innocent submissive doe-eyed young girl who eventually submits to the ML but here they have made her a pretty strong and self-reliant individual who is not afraid to express her thoughts. they also managed to achieve a delicate balance in making her both a smart, strong and bold person while also maintaining her gentle and innocent nature (usually FLs who are strong are also quite obnoxious)
3. Business: The plot actually made sense for once and I love how the ML is not a rich billionaire CEO but rather a humble and hardworking man (I also think that the ML's actor is more suited to these roles than the hotshot CEO roles)
4. Relationship progress: I'm glad that they both take things slow and don't jump into anything, they start of as strangers with a small attraction for each other and they take things slow and explore each other's personality more before committing themselves to the relationship.
5. Fl's Background: honestly i think it was unnecessary to make her a rich heiress but it ok since it doesnt really play a major role in the plot.
6. Maturity: This show has some of the most mature leads that even some full length high budget shows lack and I think it was very well executed.
7. Great OSTS
8. Great visuals
CONS:
1. Should have been a full length show: This def. deserved a higher budget and length because almost everything about it was perfect, it wasn't your classic soap opera and the side plots were engaging enough to keep me hooked towards the end.
2. I wish there was a bit more romance
All in all this was a pretty good show and I'm glad I watched it. If you are expecting something hot and steamy you will be disappointed but it was pretty good considering my past experience of nonsensical plots.

Major Disappointment
I had a lot of high hopes for this drama but I was sorely disappointed. I honestly couldn't watch through the whole thing without skipping because it was genuinely so boring.CONS:
The biggest issue was the beginning, the 2 leads have so much in common that it seems like a cheap way to convince the audience they belong together.
As usual the woman is highly ambitious but poor with tons of baggage and the man is rich and handsome and willing to risk opportunities for her at first sight .
Their romance and chemistry was not convincing and you could tell me they were siblings and I'd believe you.
The acting was quite lackluster and the actress especially wasn't able to pull of the nuanced role she was given and it made the FL's character seem a bit bland.
Didn't like how they made the ML such a huge pushover and his personality seems very contradictory considering he's supposed to be "smart".
The fact that they showed us present day in the first episode made it less fun because everyone had an idea of what would happen, It also took away from my joy of shipping the FL's friend and prof together because I knew they would not end up together immediately atleast.
The relationship, though mildly cute, was not convincingly strong enough to result in so much drama...The main leads did not share any significant chemistry. The main cause for this according to me was bad direction and not choosing a suitable FL actress. She doesn't have much experience and it clearly shows because she was unable to convey the depth of the Fl's feelings, Arthur Chen's acting was good but nothing amazing and he definitely has more potential imo with a better script and cast.
I ALSO FORGOT TO MENTION THIS BUT WHY DOES EVERY FREAKING MODERN DRAMA WITH A STRONG FL, HAVE A ML SAVES FL DURING PERIODS SCENE?????? like the writers want to show that he saves her when she is vulnerable and vulnerability comes only during periods and i'm surprised these women are always so unprepared considering it happens EVERY. SINGLE. MONTH. smh
This drama was so bad that I forgot it was still airing after 2 days of not watching any new episodes.
Overall the Beginning was bad and the ending was also bad. The 6 is for the supporting actress who i think did a pretty good job in the beginning and her styling throughout the show was immaculate. Arthur chen's acting was nothing to write about but certainly wasn't bad enough to complain about either. If i ignore the obvious cliches and other factors this wasn't the worst thing I've watched atleast the first half wasn't.
If you like Arthur chen and don't really care about plot and chemistry then watching this is for you. (Im literally not even writing pros because the music was the only good thing everything else was just decent)
