A very unrealistic medical drama
I know that this drama is a fictional scripted drama with fictional illnesses made up for the story and that is okay. But, the drama is too unrealistic. The cast of the drama were great, however how the story progresses was not good.
First of all, Mio, the FL is introduced as an optimistic baka girl. Personally, I think this characteristic backfire a lot of things in the drama. It makes the drama seem to shallow, as all kinds of problem, easy or even hard ones were all solved because of the FL's character.
Second, the operating scenes were very lacking, as a lot of the scenes doesn't seem to properly follow the rules that have to followed when you are inside the operating room. Even though I'm not someone from the medical scene and don't know the specific rules that applies, as a novice I at least know that someone cannot just randomly barge into the operating room (there's a scene regarding this problem in the beginning of the episode). Aside from that, there's a lot of scenes that's very improper and not following the protocols inside the operating room, and I think this really decreases the level of the drama overall.
The plot of the drama is cliché, a genius ML surgeon, also a talented FL surgeon with trauma that hinders her career in the medical world.
However, aside from all of the cons of these drama there were also good points about it. I like how the highlight the job of a nurse aid which I think it is still not showcased a lot in other medical dramas. It introduces a job that although is very important, is not paid attention too majority of the time. The mystery part of the drama had a lot of potential, but were not carried well enough until the end of the drama
Overall, the drama was just a 'meh' kind of drama for me. And how the last episode ends seem to indicate that there will be a season 2, don't know whether I'll end up watching it in the future or not. But even if I do, I'll probably watch it for the casts.
