Odd plot with amazing acting and chemistry

Gonna start by saying that I really did not enjoy the idea of the series and frankly only watched it for Yinwar. Cheating is such an odd plot point to base a romance around and the thing is... I actually hate how much I liked this show for the simple fact that the idea is so horrendous. It took a lot for me to not think about how messed up the entire start of Vee and Mark's relationship was, especially because they were so so cute together. If the actual plot was literally anything else, this show would've very very easily have been an 11 star show.

Things I liked:
Chemistry - For watching this show for Yinwar, I can say that I was certaintly not disappointed by their chemistry. They were absolutely amazing and their scenes together felt magical and real. It's a shame it was wasted on Mark basically being a side chick for the beginning of the show. If you can look over or not think about that, then it's truly enjoyable
Consistency - I liked how they kept going back to small details, as odd as it sounds. It made it feel a little more real and put a smile on my face. (Ex: the white bridge and the rooftop) I feel like it's tiny things like that that can make the show just a little better

Things I didn’t like:
Cheating plot - I almost had to stop watching for the simple fact of what the heck is this plot? I think this may be top ten worst things to base a couple around, and the thing is, they did it in the worst way too. While I think in general its a bad plot idea, I think you can also make it work, but this show really didn't. It felt like nobody really thought that Vee and Ploy cheating on each other was a big deal. For dating for 3 years, Vee really didn’t act guilty for cheating on her, especially right after he did it, since he kept wanting to mention it to Mark. I feel like it's so unrealistic, and that's what made it even worse.
Drunk nc scene - The very first scene frankly really put a bad taste in my mouth because it almost felt like assault, and it honestly mightve been. They were definitely both drunk, but do I think that Vee was conscious enough to not sleep with a very clearly blacked-out drunk man who even mistakes him for someone else? Yes, especially because of his reaction towards what they did the next morning, which really pissed me off as well.

Overall: Its not the worst show I've ever watched and I actually really enjoyed it after basicslly getting over the first like 4 or so episodes. I also think that if it wasn't for Yinwar, I would've dropped it 2nd episode. Some parts of the series were extremely questionable and unrealistic, but I think their chemistry and their relationship in the end makes up for it.

Cute story with healthy relationships

I found this series really refreshing. No toxicity, little drama, and overall great, healthy relationships between both friends and couples; though a bit of unnecessary, cliché misunderstandings that made me want to hit peem and phum. But they talked and sorted it out within the episode so I think it's relatively forgiveable. I really enjoyed the series; however, I think it really depends on the person for how much someone else may like it.

Things I liked:
-The relationships: for friendship being the main point of the show, I think they did an absolutely amazing job with developing them. It genuinely seemed like everybody loved and felt safe with each other. Their friendships felt so real, like I was genuinely just watching 5 (or technically 11 by the end) friends go through university and fall in love. You can tell they support and care for one another. I like how the characters loved each other for themselves and never once asked their friends or S/O to change, and rather encouraged them to be themselves.
-Chemistry: I could absolutely feel the chemistry between the 4 couples, both before and after they confessed. Kinda similar to the friendships, but you could really tell that the couples genuinely liked one another. Even their "intimate" scenes seemed like real love rather than acting or lust.
-Acting: A little controversial as many people seem to disagree, but I think the cast was perfect for this show. The actors gave what their characters required of them and really brought them to life. Additionally, I think they made them feel real, as they act almost exactly like how I act with my own friends and people I feel comfortable with.
-Length: There was SO much content in the series, being 16 episodes, 45-60 minutes each, that I feel like there was nothing more you can ask for, unlike a lot of shows. I feel like it allowed for couples and characters to be fleshed out as they were supposed to and left no questions for the viewers.

Things I didn’t like:
-Length: It being so long was both a blessing and a curse. While there was so much fluffy content, a lot of it was technically unnecessary, and as much as I hate to admit it, I sped it up several times to get past some filler parts. I feel like they could've gotten the point across in 8, MAYBE 10 at the most, episodes, but then again, I did enjoy watching all the scenes.
-Cheek kisses?: I understand kissing your boyfriend on the cheek here and there as a cute, endearing thing, but 3/4 couples were always doing it and it's so odd. It was like watching middle schoolers who were too afraid to actually kiss. And if it was for privacy reasons, such as they were around a whole bunch of people, I understand, but even so, just a short peck on the lips or something would have just as much decorum as a cheek kiss, so it just felt unnatural.
Singing?: I don’t mind singing in dramas such as in like My School President where it makes sense, but there were several scenes where Q would pick up the guitar and I would just have to put it in x2 speed because it was unnecessary and almost cringey. Around a campfire or for an event, thats fine, expect even, but in the middle of a cafe? Cmon, now you're just pulling my leg.

Overall: I think it was a good show. If you just wanna watch something cute without a whole bunch of headaches and toxicity, then this is the show for you. There's 4 couples to root for and enjoy as well as an adorable friend grouo to follow. It's not complicated to watch, as everything is really laid out for you. I'd say it's a good show to take bites out of while watching another show, especially a heavier one, to take a break or lighten the mood, rather than a show to sit down and binge in a day as it can get boring in one large sitting.

Sweet and frustrating slow burn

I don’t even know where to start or even HOW to start. This series was so frustratingly good that I was crying, aweing, and punching my wall all at the same time.

Things I Liked:
Casting - The casting was really perfect for every single character. I feel like you couldnt switch a single one of the actors for one another and have as great of a show as this. My biggest thumbs up for casting is YinWar. I was a little hesitant to watch this show bc I'd never watched anything with them, but now I absolutely need to see more of them. Their chemistry is actually insane and their acting may be even better, which leads me into my next point...
Acting - When I say I could FEEL the characters' emotions, I genuinely mean it, and I certainly don't say that lightly. If Joke felt upset, I could feel it in my gut, making me want to cry myself. If Jack was worried, so was I in the strongest way possible. And please don't even get me started on the mc's kissing scenes, like I could feel their desperation for each other, I was actually going insane during these scenes.
Full circle - My biggest pet peeve is when a story leaves me with questions or doesn't wrap up loose ends, yet this story didn’t at all. Everything was wrapped up in a tight little bow, even down to a character 5 years in the past.

Things I Didn't Like:
SLOW BURN - When people say this series has slow burn, do not take it lightly at all. I'm not necessarily gonna say I didn’t like the series for this reason, but it was certaintly annoying, especially because it really hit mid way through after the mc had made good progress.
(SPOILER) Weird Love Triangle - This was the most annoying thing in this show and I will stand by that. I wanted to hit everybody, especially Jack and Rosé because 1, stop making decisions for other people and 2, get the freaking hint. Rosé was genuinely such a sweet girl, but god, she was obnoxious for a good 5 or 6 episodes and Jack was just as obnoxious and lowkey rude during those episodes. Was it necessary? I suppose, but it still had my blood boiling, which I guess may have been the point.
Miscommunication - My absolute 2nd biggest pet peeve. If Jack and Joke had talked about stuff before actually doing it, half the events in the show would've never happened, which obviously would've ruined the point of the show, but still, it was aggravating. Y'all are grown adults making promises that you can't talk out to actually keep.

Overall: As much as I complained about plot ideas, I think they rounded out the show and made Jack and Joke's moments together all the more special. I didn't ever think that there was a scene that was unnecessary because they all built up to build true perfection. I'm not sure if another bl will be able to top this one, but I will certianly look forward to more Yinwar series
