KOREAN DRAMA

Started watching KDramas through tagalized version on tv. But, it was What's Wrong With Secretary Kim? that got me more interest in watching KDramas.

Forever biased to:

PARK SEO JUN - The Ultimate Oppa. So lucky to have the opportunity to attend in his fanmeet;

JO IN SUNG - A-list Korean actor. The only character in KDrama portrayed by him who gave me post movie depression syndrome.

SEO IN GUK - The Total Package Korean Singer & Actor. So much fun to watch him on and off cam.

***There are many reasons why I love KDramas. They have wide range of genres from romance, comedy or combined, to legal drama, family drama, fantasy drama, melodrama, crime drama and historical drama that their culture and origin are well presented. With only 16 episodes or more, they can give us good and quality stories, no need to prolong the plots just for the sake of ratings and popularity. Global popularity of KDramas and their actors/actress is truly deserving. And the OST are great and most of them are not recycled.

BL SERIES

While Korea and Taiwan are already popular in Asia for quality dramas and famous artists, Thailand is on its track to be well known internationally with their BL series. #TayNew is my favorite BL couple due to their realistic chemistry. But Mario Maurer is already well known even before when he filmed Crazy Little Thing Called Love. And I loved him even more when he portrayed a confused bisexual in Love of Siam. So much depressing experience after watching this movie.

Philippines is also on the track in giving BL series to the queer audience that they waited for a long time. I'd like to give a shoutout to "Gaya Sa Pelikula" for giving the most emotional and realistic BL series in the Philippines. Actually, it could be the best BL series not only in the Philippines, but internationally because of its substance that is relevant to the society especially LGBTQIA+ community. And lastly, the creators and actors behind Gaya Sa Pelikula are excellent and talented in so many ways and that makes them worth supporting for.

PS: Gaya Sa Pelikula made me stop watching KDrama for a while, finding updates from Korean oppa and also listening to KDrama OST. The GSP hype is real!

Here are the Gaya Sa Pelikula related videos which I made:

Even though Korean dramas are more popular than any Asian dramas, I still don't forget the fact that Taiwan's F4 (Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Ken Zhu, Vanness Wu) and Meteor Garden started the Asianovela craze especially in Philippines.

F4 is so phenomenal. Their songs are very nostalgic. And their Meteor Garden  will always be the best!
