Irresistible Chemistry, Heart-Fluttering Moments and a Few Frustrations!
Dai Gao Zheng and Chen Fang Tong strike again with their insane chemistry! I’ll try to keep this spoiler-free, but let’s start with the pros—this drama has even more swoon-worthy kisses and interactions than their previous ones, making it my favorite in the romance department.I love that the female lead is strong and takes the initiative, even making the male lead a little shy, which was adorable. The story hooks you right away, but around episode 20, it starts to drag because of frustrating side characters who exist just to create chaos. My advice? Ignore them and focus on the leads to save yourself from the frustration!
I do wish the leads communicated more since there were a lot of misunderstandings. The plot was messy, which lowers the rating, but their incredible chemistry makes up for it. A nice touch was including an OST from their second drama, Forever Love, along with a great new one.
Would I rewatch? Absolutely—for their scenes alone! Plus, they’ve just wrapped filming their fourth drama together, and I can’t wait to see it. Oh, and if you love their chemistry as much as I do, I’ve compiled a Drive full of their cutest behind-the-scenes moments—check the discussion for the link!

It’s Not Perfect — But the Chemistry is Too Good to Miss!
I originally watched this drama for Fang Tong, but I ended up falling for Hei Ze. Their chemistry is insane — easily my favorite pairing of hers yet! They not only look great together, but their kisses were so good, even without the usual steamy vibe you’d expect from dramas like Dai Gao Zheng’s.The first half was super fun and had me laughing a lot, thanks to the male lead being an adorable, lovable simp. Hei Ze absolutely nailed this role, and his beautiful smile didn’t hurt either.
The plot started strong, but the second half dragged when the villain showed up and the romance took a backseat. There were a few plot holes too, but honestly? The leads made it worth it. The music wasn’t super memorable, but it fit the mood nicely.
Oh — and there’s a behind-the-scenes clip where Hei Ze gets all shy after an unscripted kiss. It’s ridiculously cute and made me love him even more. I'll link it in the discussion ;)
I’m definitely rewatching this one for the main couple’s scenes. Trust me, their chemistry alone is worth it!

Too Much Business, Not Enough Romance
I watched this drama mainly because of the leads, and I was drawn in by the pretty 80s village setting. The first half was decent and had some potential, but unfortunately, the second half really fell flat. It became lazy and repetitive — the second leads kept causing business problems, and the main couple would just swoop in to solve them every time. The story ended up focusing way too much on business instead of romance, which made it feel a bit dull. On top of that, the chemistry between the leads just wasn’t there. The kiss scenes, in particular, felt awkward — which was disappointing, especially since Fang Tong usually has great chemistry with her co-stars.
I’d give this one a 6.5 overall. Honestly, not worth the watch in my opinion.

No Romance, Just an Ad for Body Wash
I watched this for Fang Tong, but I was honestly disappointed. There was no romance at all, and the chemistry between the leads was basically nonexistent. The story didn’t make any sense either — I stuck with it hoping it’d get better, but the plot went nowhere. It felt like the whole thing was made to promote a body wash brand, which was so obvious it became distracting. Each episode was super short too — barely five minutes — so I just stuck with it to finish it for Fang Tong. But honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this one. It was forgettable and kind of pointless.

Revenge Over Romance — A Miss for Me
I watched this for Fang Tong, but I was pretty disappointed. The story focused more on a sister revenge plot than romance, which really isn’t my cup of tea. The storyline felt messy and confusing — I didn’t fully understand what was going on most of the time. The twist at the end felt unnecessary and didn’t really add anything to the story. It was short, so I pushed through to the end, but it just wasn’t memorable, and I wouldn’t rewatch it.
The only real positives were the cinematography and the costumes — both were well done and visually pleasing. But overall, unless you’re watching purely for the visuals or the cast, I’d probably skip this one.
