It's been a while since I saw a modern drama (particularly a Chinese one) that was so enjoyable to watch. The two leads are so natural and charismatic and they are really the reason for watching the show. I loved the way both characters were written - there was respect given for their personalities, and they remained true to themselves throughout the show's run. There were times when I was worried the plot was going to veer into tropey and ridiculous territory, but the show always turned it on its head in such a satisfying way. The weakest point is probably the 'villains' of the show, they are fairly flat and get resolved too easily. But it doesn't really detract from the show. Absolutely worth watching.
