It focuses on 4 siblings raised by their mother and focuses on all their stories and relationships with others. At times it is funny, sad, heart-warming and frustrating in equal measures.
I enjoyed the romance and relationship stories of all of the siblings to varying degrees. I disliked both of the mothers depicted in this drama. One was a selfish attention seeking manipulative shrew and the other a self-sacrificing martyr. Both got on my nerves and I had the least sympathy for the mothers even though one of them was playing a “sympathetic “role I didn't really care about her by the end of the drama.
The best character for me was Na No Ra at the beginning of the drama I loathed her & by the end she was my favourite. Her character development was wonderful to watch.
I have seen better family dramas than Live In Style (Smile You/Ojakgyo Brothers/My Daughter Seoyoung) saying that this is still well worth a watch. The characters and the story were engaging enough to hold my attention.
I tend not to re-watch dramas so that mark is always low for me.
The music/score wasn't really memorable.

Its set in 1969 and you learn a little bit about this tumultuous period in Korean & world history. Amongst the backdrop of all this is set a simple yet timeless love story.
Both leads were wonderful and made a huge impact in an understated way.
The music fit just perfectly with the mood & time period this was set in.
My re-watch score is always low as I tend not to re-watch films/dramas.

This drama is about friendship, family and love. Its funny, poignant and simply beautiful. I liked all the different types of relationships that were depicted not just the usual boy meets girl scenario but also brotherly love, good friends, husbands and wives and family ties.
The writing was excellent I cannot praise the writers enough the way they kept the viewer guessing until the last episode without making it contrived or cliché. It was a joy & frustration to watch. The actors did a brilliant job too, my particular favourites being Yoon Jae and Joon Hee.
This isn't an overly dramatic makjang or a slapstick romantic comedy, its a wonderful realistic portrayal of ordinary people and the ups and downs in their lives over a period of 16 years, told in a refreshing, funny and heartfelt way. I LOVED IT!!!!!

I decided to watch this because it had Lee Byung Hun in it (I think he is a fine actor). The first 2 "episodes" deal with two different people & the choices they make at a critical juncture in their lives. They are given the opportunity to go back & do things differently.
The first episode about a news anchorman is probably the easiest to relate to & understand. The last two episodes veer off on a tangent telling the story about the main protagonists & this is where it got confusing. I wish this story was padded out & told in further detail.
I found the "jubilee" visually mesmerising.
Worth a watch I suppose but do not have any expectations.

The above explains why I watched it haha generally Im not a masochist & drop a drama quicksmart if I dont like it.
OK my views on the drama itself the main couples chemistry I didn’t find convincing also the so called second lead Yoo Ah In I hardly saw him languishing away for his lost love he was too busy running around on rooftops with his red letters lol….
The story wasn’t compelling enough to hold my interest over 20 episodes perhaps if it had been condensed into 16 episodes it might have been more punchy. Don’t get me wrong I am a fan of sageuks & loved Iljimae, Chuno & The Princess Man – SS just wasn’t in the same vein & I found it disappointing overall I still gave it a 7 out of 10 though.
The best thing about the whole drama was the lovely Song Joong Ki his mannerisms & way of speaking I found totally captivating. I also found his love for YAI endearing he truly cared for him! I found THAT story more fascinating than the main couple & I like Yoochun as well, maybe hes got the same problem as Kim Hyun Joong who doesn’t come across well as an actor either although to be fair to Yoochun I have only seen him act in SS & KHJ I have seen him “act” in a couple of dramas & I remain unimpressed.
I know plenty of people loved this drama & it was pleasant enough just not exciting or angsty enough for my tastes…as I say each to their own.
