When I first came across the drama I thought, that the plot sounded interesting and that I should watch it asap. And then I read some reviews, many about how the ending wasn't great. And as I'm a sucker for happy endings, I didn't watch the drama right away. It took me some time, but after watching some other dramas I kept coming back to this one and I finally started watching.

And what should I say? I really really really liked it! And I think that the ending is perfect as it is because it fits the drama AND leaves the possibility for a sequel (I would really love that).

I liked the cast and characters, although the character of Hong Seol could have been a little braver and have more confidence (I know it's based on the webtoon and that's how she is). And Lee Sung Kyung showed her acting skills by being the ultimate crazy bitch - damn annoying but really hilarious at times.

So overall it was a pleasant drama with the right wrap up in the end. I would really like a sequel!

My first noona romance drama and I have to say:
Oh what a wonderful drama! It got a little tiring in the end, but overall it was worth it!

Story:
Joon Hee is the brother of Jin Ah's best friend. They know each other since childhood and now, as Joon Hee returrns from the US, where he lived and studied for three years, he finally decides to follow his emotions and try to get Jin Ah as his girlfriend. The drama depicts the struggles they have to overcome to be accepted by society, but also - and most importantly - their beautiful, fluffy and sometimes very sexy love. I enjoyed the drama very much up to the 12th episode, after that the story line got a little out of hand. Some characters (including the main female lead) became very annoying in some aspects. Also Jin Ah's mother acted like an annoying little child who didn't get her will. I know that she was supposed to resemble the Korean society and their view on marriage, but still, her character was too much. The ending was also not to my taste, but you gotta see it yourself to make a judgement (no sad ending, don't worry).
However, up until the 12 episode we got one of the most beautiful love stories I have ever witnessed in a kdrama!

Acting/Cast:
They all did a wonderful job. A huge praise goes especially to Jung Hae In. After watching him in While You Were Sleeping I was really excited for his main role here, and I wasn't disappointed. Also, Joon Hee is a character I would fall for in real life! The supporting roles were also birlliant and gave the drama an authentic feeling.

Music:
OH THIS MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the music in this drama. Someone said somehwere that it gives the whole drama a French feeling, and it's true! The soundtrack and the total lack of music and sounds in some scenes makes this drama so wonderfully intense! I am really in love with this soundtrack.

Rewatch Value:
If I would be a rewatcher, this drama would have a high chance of me rewatching it.

Overall:
Feel-Good, fluffy and sexy noona-romance with some (small) deductions in the last few episodes.

Story:
The huge plus for this drama! The storyline is something I really LOVE here. Cruel intentions, which has a similar story line, is one of my favorite movies up to date. So yes, of course I was thrilled to have the storyline made into a kdrama. And overall it kept it's promise and was just what I had expected. I liked the characters and hated and loved them in all the right places. The reason why I took off 0,5 points is because the on-and-off relationship betweem Tae Hee and Si Hyun got a little annoying in the end. Tae Hee's character was definitely my least favorite....They could have done better with her.

Acting/Cast:
It was my first time seeing Woo Do Hwan and Moon Ga Young in a drama, but I reaaaally liked them. They are great actors!
I had watched Kim Min Jae in some other dramas and productions before and was ecstatic to see him as one of the main roles. He did great! He was my favorite character throughout the drama.
Well, and then there's Joy....What can I say? I watched her before in The Liar and his Lover and din't like her at all. But as the story captured me and Min Jae was part of the main leads, I still decided to watch it. And I have to say her acting was quite alright. What I really didn't like was her role, Tae Hee was supposed to be a strong girl, but was a weak character in the end. So Joy did an alright job, although she will never be my favourite actress. Her facial expression is somehow always the same...

Music:
I believe it was okay, don't really remember though ;)

Rewatch Value:
Maybe some scenes, but not the hwole thing.

Overall:
Great story, alright actors, sometimes a little too much, but enjoyable and not too bad!

Thanks to Ji Chang Wook I finished this drama. Without him there? Probably would have dropped it.

 Story:
The basic idea of the story is quite nice. Political affairs tight together with family tragedies and everything evil from the financial world. Sounds great, right? But then there is more. A (subtle?) love triangle, unrequited love, a past love that was killed and someone who needs to take revenge for this killing....A daughter taking revenge on the family that abandoned her...another daughter taking revenge on her stepmother (who is the afore mentioned daughter)...a woman taking revenge on her husband who does not love her one bit, but stays with her due to his career. So, as you see, there is a lot of revenge going on. That's already a little confusing, but then there are all these sudden twists and you think "What the heck just happened here? How? What? Why?" I am sure there are some people that like these kinds of twists, but for me it was simply too much and really annoying. Oh, and one other annoying thing: many of the characters acted like spoiled little children whose favorite lollipop has been stolen. Ugh.

Acting/Cast:
JCW (as expected) did a great job here. He did what he was supposed to do, although there were some really absurd parts (like ten men fighting each other under the shower....yaaay no). I've seen him playing better roles!
Song Yoon Ah's acting was also great. I hated her character to the very end (yeah, sorry, no pity from my side), and I believe that's what the character was supposed to be - a total bitch. And although I hated her character, I was still impressed by her acting.
Im Yoon Ah's acting on the other side....well I don't know. She was a naive and dumb little girl. And I also did not like her very much. Question is only, was she supposed to be this naive and dumb or is she just a bad actress? I haven't seen her in any other dramas yet, but I must say that I am not impressed.

Music:
German classics - liked it and it was always fitting. The music gave this whole drama an ominous atmosphere.

Rewatch Value:
Will not rewatch it, as I am not a rewatcher, especially for a drama I wasn't impressed with.

Overall:
MDL suggested a 6, but I think it deserves a 7. As someone already pointed out: it could have been so much more (and so much better)!

I am not a fan (anymore) of all this fantasy and vampire stuff and things like that. However, I had Blood on my "Plan to watch" list for some time already and as I had time on my hands and nothing particular to watch, I decided to give it a go. I didn't have any expectations, which was good because then I would have been even more disapointed.

Story:
Park Ji Sang was born with a virus that lowers his body temperature and makes him crave blood - commonly known a vampire. However, this virus is not known to the world and there are only a few infected people. He works as a doctor and dedicates his life to healing people instead of killing them. At the new hospital he meets Yoo Ri Ta, ab aspiring doctor who is also part of the family that owns the hospital, and also closely connected to Ji Sang's past. Enter Lee Jae Wook, the new director of the hospital, also infected with the vampire virus and connected to Ji Sang in certain ways. For more, watch it yourself.
However, don't expect a love story, or a doctor's drama or a fantasy story. At least, not completely. That's also where I see the huge disadvantage of this drama. It wants to be so much, but is nothing completely in the end. There are some, actually very few, romantic scenes. I had wished for so much more!! There is a whole lot medical storytelling going on, with medical terms being thrown around, like they were talking about what to eat for lunch. Quite annoying and seemingly only there, so there is at least SOMETHING. The storyline that really got me was the one with Jung Hae In's character. I would have loved for the drama to evolve around him and his story instead!

Acting/Cast:
The acting was okay. Nothing overwhelmingly great, but not too bad either. I always find it hard to review the acting and cast when I already don’t like the story much. Let’s just say they acted how they were supposed to, however the roles were just shitty.

Music:
Was there any special music? Don’t think so. It was okay, nothing very annoying.

Rewatch Value:
To say it in my bias’ words: NO! (sry for the reference to Tae xD)

Overall:
So the story was all over the place, the characters weren’t very well developed, and overall the drama was too long! 16 episodes would have been more than enough for this story! Just watch if you have really NOTHING else to do!

Story:
The basic idea of this drama is great! Two people, who have a lot of own problems, fall in love with each other and (of yourse) conquer all these problems). Also, you can find a lot of topics here that I haven't seen before in another drama. But that's also somehow the problem: so many topics!
So you have the female lead who is a doctor and has problems with letting herself fall into a relationship. She is then betrayed by her boyfriend and in addition to that, she has a trauma from her past she has to deal with.
Then meet the writer, who himself has a tragic family story with his brother in jail and he himself having problems to sleep anywhere else but the bathtub. Apart from that he's a player. Oh, and did I mention that his ex girlfriend plagiarized his recent book? But only with the help of one of his close friends.
But wait, wait, there's more! SO MUCH MORE.....
And that's also why I really had a hard time getting through this drama in the beginning. I get it, not everyone has a smooth relationship or is mentally and physically healthy. BUT there seems to be no one in this drama without very complex and complicated problems - either with him/herself or with one of the other protagonists. After some time it just got utterly confusing for me to the point where I really asked myself what the hell was going on in this drama. Also, the fact, that some storylines are intorduced, but then somehow just disappear without an explanation (at least a somewhat clear explanation for me), bothered me! Up until episode 10 or 11 I was bound to drop this drama any minute and give it a really bad review.
But then there is the ending. The last 4/5 episodes are wonderful! They are really really intense and beautiful, and make up for the rest. The ending is also the reason why I still give the story an 8.

Acting/Cast:
Very well done from all the actors. Their characters were just a little annoying sometimes.

Music:
Oh I love the music in this one! Especially as there are not only Korean songs but many English ones as well. Great music!

Overall:
Watch it and try to not get annoyed by alls these different problems. The ending is worth it! Still, I will probably not rewatch this anytime soon.

A masterpiece that should have been longer

The story is quite deep and covers love, friendship, family issues, trauma, depression, and some other, very dark, topics.
It could have easily been a longer series and in fact, I wish it had more episodes to give the viewer an even deeper understanding of everything - hence, why I only give it 9.5 out of 10 points.

The acting is amazing! I believe them everything and they all deliver a wonderful performance! I think they also choose a very good cast. I'm not 100% sure about Kim Jin Kwon, who plays Yoon Se Heon, and I can imagine someone else would've fit the role better, but overall it's very satisfying to watch them. The acting never gets awkward and they all portray the emotions very well.

The music is great as well ofc, I mean, it's the background for the whole plot. And I love classical music as well as Jazz, so I was very happy with everything :)

I just finished the last episodes about 30 minutes ago and I already wanna rewatch it - so 10/10 for the rewatch value!

Overall, I give it a 9.5/10 as I feel that it should have had more episodes to give a deeper understanding of some of the issues.

And finally, I would also like to say something on the S/A that happens. If you don't want spoilers, please stop reading here!

If you continued, then here's what happens: Taeyi touches Seheon in a sexual way (hand underneath his shirt) when the other doesn't want it. It's not nice to look at, and some might find it very disturbing. However, it's a scene of 10 secs max, so it can be skipped easily. Later, Taeyi reflects and apologizes for his behavior, and I think that it's very important for the plot as it shows how Taeyi's character evolves and matures. So please stop dramatizing it more than it needs to be. It's 10 secs out of hundreds of minutes that are worth watching! Give it a chance :)

The second BL drama I've ever watched and I'm glad I did. Ae and Pete are so sweet, I completely fell in love with them!

I took two points off the story as it unfortunately not only revolves around AePete. It would have been so much better if we had stayed with them for the whole 14 episodes! I wouldn't have minded TinCan or PondCha because these couples were cute and funny as well. But the other two pairings? The brothers and the stalkerish thing? God, please, no.

Ae and Pete had a great chemistry and their acting was always on point. The actors worked great together and all the actors in this story showed a great talent!

The music was alright, nothing to say to this.

I probably will rewatch at some point. Already rewatched my fav scenes (which are aepete's kisses, what a surprise ;)), but maybe I'll rewatch the whole thing at one point.

Overall, a very satisfying and sweet drama! I want more of this, please!!!

When I first started "High School - Love On" I didn't think that it would turn out for me the way it did.
At first, and as probably most of the viewers, I thought that it was a happy-go-lucky-story with an angelic twist to it. So kind of the story where you already know how it will turn out in the end.

But it actually surprised me. It is not the story that you think at first it is (at least I didn't think it would be likee this). Let me tell you why:
1. Love. There is a love-triangle (actually it's even a love-square). Yes, there is one. Surprise, surprise ;) BUT it is not only this one relationship that is shown in connection to the topic of love. There are many, many more love issues between the supporting roles, which are also very cute, and lovely, and also sometimes sad.

2. Friendship/Family. A Drama is never solely about the couple, I know that. And the family and friends often play an importnat role. I know that, as well. BUT here there are much more important than in most of the dramas I've watched until now (and I'm honest, I'm a rookie when it comes to KDrama, so if you know any great drama, recommend it to me!!! But still, I feel this one here is a diamond).

3. Characters. They are depicted in a great way. ALL of them. Every character has its purpose (most of the time at least) and, more importantly and the reason, why I like it so much, they are not "flat". Most of the characters have a depth to them, they are mean, they are nice, and cute, and then they are back to being your worst nightmare. So, just like real people! Really, amazing (in my eyes). I really felt with them, and just as the main characters I loved and hated them. What I liked the best were the different types of girls. So you have the rich and arrogant girl, and also the bully, but they change. They all adjust themselves and they all struggle. And you also get to know some things about their families. YES! Just like in real life - wooohoo!

So, to sum it up, the characters are well made, the story itself is very cute, and the love between the main couple is - and stays! - strong. Puuuuurfect
