Good Enough
Korean Drama '' No Gain, No Love '' is a romantic comedy utilizing the fake marriage trope.
The drama has a strong female lead to get it through the most boring and tricky parts and she indeed was shinning through, with her openness towards her sexuality and her honesty towards her practical way of viewing love and relationships. Her story, along with the second female leads, and their tragic circumstances, were really what should have been further developed.
Alas, the drama chose a more romantic view of things, focusing on the love story and even using that overused cheesy trope in the final episode. Unfortunately, the romance wasn't strong enough to outshine the family drama, thus, the drama felt lackluster. Also, the third friend's story was undercooked and rushed to have an ending in the final episode. On the other hand, the side couple was adorable and kept things interesting when the main one was too boring.
Finally, the performances were all enjoyable.
So, overall, six out of ten.
