Too much misunderstanding

I don't know why this drama was so much over hyped. People are saying its as good as ashes of love and what not but i personally felt it was nowhere near ashes of love. Male sacrificing himself all the time and female all the time acting as a fool. Nothing good about it. I had to drop it so many times to finish watching it. The female leads character got on my nerves all the time like at least she should have common sense, yeah we know she doesn't have five senses but still she lost her common sense too or what. The part of changing gender was way more weird. The part of destroying the world was way more weirder. What was the jade emperor doing when the heavenly emperor was causing chaos.
