Ela, 30-something years old

I probably spend more time reading reviews and picking new dramas to watch than actually, you know, watching dramas. I tend to rewatch a lot too, so for someone who's been watching dramas since 2008, my list might seem short.

My preferences? Give me a solid romance with a happy ending and I am sold. Which often means rom-coms :). I am also a fan of slice-of-life dramas, historicals and fantasy.

 My rating:

I do not rate shows I haven't finished; if I really hate the show, I just drop it. So if I finish a drama, even if I didn't enjoy it that much, there was probably something intriguing about it (...or I really really wanted to know how it ends).

5.0 ⭐-> 6.5 ⭐- I finished it, but gods, this wasn't a good show and there is slim to none chance I will rewatch it (examples: 5-ji Kara 9-ji Made, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon – yes, really).

7.0 ⭐ - A definition of an okay show. It has some significant failings, but overall, it wasn't too bad. Might rewatch some scenes from it in the future (examples: Her Private Life, The Love By Hypnotic).

7.5 ⭐- An average good show. It didn't affect me as much as I hoped, but I don't regret the time I spent watching this (examples: Descendants of the Sun, Hidden Love).

8.0 ⭐- Now this was really good drama! It probably had some flaws that prevent me from going higher with my rating, perhaps it had a very slow beginning (e.g. Moonlight) or some too cringey moments (e.g. The Romance of Hua Rong) but overall, I loved it.

8.5 ⭐ - Great drama, loved it! Some minor flaws here and there but I won't hesitate to rewatch it in the future (example: Falling Into Your Smile). Or....maybe I loved it years ago and now I don't have the heart to lower the rating (looking at you, Hanazakari no Kimitachi e).

9.0 ⭐ -> 9.5 ⭐ - Near perfection, dramas that I rate this high are automatically among my all time favorites (examples: Maiden Holmes, You Are My Glory).

10 ⭐ - Everything that is pure and good in this world, these dramas are untouchable to me (examples: Love Between Fairy and Devil, The Story of Ming Lan, Healer). Alternatively, some classics that might not be able to compete with current productions, but that will always have a place in my heart (examples: Hana Yori Dango, Rich Man, Poor Woman).
